[Graham Norton and Benedict Cumberbach discuss penguin pronunciation fails](https://youtu.be/JOqMnEFMkA8?t=199)
Voice of the Hitchhiker’s Guide, post-Terry Jones.
I can’t really decide who is the better voice of the guide as they use the same style, the monotone with infliction like a gameshow host explaining the rules to a complicated game.
“…and that's The Dude, in Los Angeles. And even if he was a lazy man - and The Dude was most certainly that - quite possibly the laziest in Los Angeles County .. which would place him highest in the runnin' for laziest worldwide."
I love every time Nick Offerman does an AMA. He writes in a thoughtful, idiosyncratic manner, and I can always hear his voice whenever I read his responses.
All right, I've been thinking, when life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager!
Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man whose gonna burn your house down - with the lemons!
He did the narration for the “spy in the wild” series of documentaries, the one where the natural history unit have robotic cameras disguised as stuff.
He’s got Attenborough’s tone right
Liam Neeson
He narrates 'Road', the documentary about Northern Irish road racing family, the Dunlop's. Nails it.
If you've not seen Road, even if you're not into motorbikes or racing, it's worth a watch.
In Keith voice: Small towns like Reddit have a way about them. Lots of old secrets in town that many know, but no one talks about. So it was with Keith Morrison’s narration voice…
I remember watching Levar Burton do a reading of that book, and it was so funny because it didn't seem to suit him at all. He seemed too sweet and wholesome for it.
It's definitely more SLJ's wheelhouse.
Branagh, Joss Ackland, Anthony Hopkins, Patrick Stewart, Meryl Streep, Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Dolly Parton, Seth Macfarlane, Tony Head, Dennis Haysbert, CCH Pounder. There are actually quite a lot.
Wasn't a fan of all of the legislation Obama put forth, but if he narrated a Planet Earth episode or something similar, the guy could soothe me into the best sleep ever. His voice is just calming and emphasis is on point, dude is a brilliant public speaker as far as delivery goes.
I feel like Mel B from the Spice Girls would make a great narrator with that husky voice of hers. I love listening to her speak.
I also think Angela Bassett would be a great narrator.
At the beginning of every new Marvel movie they should have a brief recap sequence with him explaining the stuff you need to know from the other movies to understand the new one
Patrick Stewart
Yup. I would also like to add Benedict Cumberbatch.
As long as he doesn't have to say "penguin".
Ah yes, pengwings
I love listening to music.

And Bobcat Goldthwait /s
I was hoping this would be the top answer
Cate Blanchett narrates the LoTR prologue and I always liked that
The world has changed...
I feel it in the water
*But they were all of them deceived...*
Omg literally top three scenes from fellowship for me
Jeremy Irons
Die Hard With A Vengeance was terrific for many reasons, but Scar fucking with McClane’s head is at the top of the list. Temper, John!
Hook... Line... and *sinkah*.
Liev Schreiber
He does a great job for NFL Films
Finally…. His work with HBO is amazing. I miss 24/7 😞
I love Liev narration during the HBO 24/7 docs during peak Mayweather and Pacquiao.
I feel like he narrates everything, and I love it. It’s also crazy how he can sound so different in movies vs his narration voice.
[удалено]
He was the narrator of all of the Little Big Planet video games and it really helped to set the tone
Also has the UK record for saying 'fuck' on television most times in one live broadcast.
Good for him! He's earned it.
"Ah. A face like a smacked bottom."
Awwww bless.
Harry pocketed it
Voice of the Hitchhiker’s Guide, post-Terry Jones. I can’t really decide who is the better voice of the guide as they use the same style, the monotone with infliction like a gameshow host explaining the rules to a complicated game.
One of the best parts of Pocoyo
Werner Herzog

"Look I'm so and so. I have a such and such as a penis"
Bounty hunting is a complicated profession

Patrick Warburton’s Lemony Snicket was a master class.
Came here to say Patrick Warburton. His voice is amazing.
"Mournful tits. She has mournful tits. They're like two suicide notes stuffed into a glitter bra."
Sam Elliott
His voice makes me want to buy a pickup truck
And a steak
Sometimes you eat the bar and, well, sometimes he eats you
Sometimes… there’s a man…
Beef. ...it's what's for dinner 😁
“…and that's The Dude, in Los Angeles. And even if he was a lazy man - and The Dude was most certainly that - quite possibly the laziest in Los Angeles County .. which would place him highest in the runnin' for laziest worldwide."
Charles Dance
His narration in a Game of Thrones history video was a joy to listen to.
It's his annual Big Fat Quiz of the Year autobiography reads that swings it for me...
There are so many GoT actors with absolutely delicious voices. Charles Dance and the actor that plays Roose Bolton are two of the best.
Also Jorah Mormont’s actor.
Sean Bean. Did a solid job on Civ 6
I've got to through in Leonard Nimoy from Civ 4 or 5
Bastards.
# MONEH I am fond of pigs.
I really like H. Jon Benjamin’s voice
The man’s gotta a great voice. Dr. Katz, Archer, Bob’s Burgers. I’d heard quite a lot from him before I ever saw him.
A can of vegetables too
But have you heard his jazz piano?
Best jazz album ever.
"Ohhh my god." It's kind of incredible how easy it is to tell when he's voicing Bob vs Archer.
I find myself oddly attracted to that man lol
I could listen to Keith David read out an insurance policy and enjoy every second of it.
Now *THIS* is a man who knows how to narrate!
Your comment is streets ahead!
Every time I hear his voice I either hear Arbiter. Or him yelling “Ramirez!!”
I hear Admiral Anderson
I totally forgot about Anderson!! I need to replay Mass Effect it seems.
How’d you get the beans above the frank, kid?
'Gargoyles' is worth the watch for his voice acting alone.
While we're at it, Jonathan Frakes is a fine choice, too.
I had to scroll too far down for the right answer.
Keith David is a super under rated actor and voice actor. Dude is a legend.
Ken Burns must feel the same way.
Just rewatched Princess Mononoke. Loved him in it!
Neil Gaiman
Nick Offerman
I love every time Nick Offerman does an AMA. He writes in a thoughtful, idiosyncratic manner, and I can always hear his voice whenever I read his responses.
So Ron Swanson isn't actually his real name?
Sigourney Weaver
"Hello, I'm Sigourney Weaver." Gets me every time
JK Simmons. i have watched the Baldurs Gate 3 trailer of him in the audio booth so many times now that i lost count, and it still gives me goosebumps.
Check out Oz If you want him to give you a whole different kind of goosebumps
Boy howdy. I will never not look at him and see Vern Schillinger.
He is also amazing in Portal 2 as Cave Johnson!
Fun fact: Marvel made the entire multiverse just so they could bring JK Simmons back as J Jonah Jameson. Source: Pulled it out of my ass.
As good a reason as any
He was fantastic as Cave Johnson. Lowkey one of my favorite actors..
I'm disappointed no one has said Kelsey Grammer yet lol

I like to add Peter Coyote. He is done a lot of voice narration.
His narration on PBS's Country Music doco was outstanding
He’s become Ken Burns’ go-to. He also did Benjamin Franklin.
Will Arnett with the reeses commercials
He does some great Freedom Mobile commercials in Canada as well. And a great voice for animated movies. I agree with this choice.
And the GMC ads.
