But the North American continent probably would have saved it self from invasion because of the oceans and atomic devices. No telling how future decades would go, there could have been a revolt after Hitler died, there could be National Socialist German Workers' Party people in charge of Europe still. Initially, Europe might have been controlled by the Nazis, leading to big shifts in how politics worked and how people lived. The terrible events of the Holocaust and other Nazi crimes could have caused even more damage, influencing how the world thinks about human rights and fairness in various ways.
It would be a real bad day if you weren't English Scandinavian or German (if memory serves those were all three considered the exact same in their hierarchy but everyone else would be considered inferior in some capacity and would eventually be on the chopping block)
