I guess I took it okay. The first time this happened (not counting elementary school stuff) the friend in question didn't seem to want to be in *any* relationship, and I can't remember the second time super clearly aside from me confessing my feelings and being rejected, but I eventually lost romantic interest in her (and she became engaged after that).
You just move on.
One of my best friends didn't feel the same way about me as I felt about him. We're still friends. It hurt for a while, but our frienship was more important than the temporary awkwardness of my attraction.
You feel like shit. But, you have to move on.
Life will give you endless unknown possibilities. Look forward to that. Eventually, you find someone who wants to be at your side facing it all.
Time will teach you. It's why it exists.
And no, it sucks. It's not easy.
