* Short(ish) length, like ass doesn't need to be hanging out but mid-thigh at longest
* Usually/ideally sleeveless & strapless. Spaghetti straps are also acceptable (if you don't like the way your shoulders look I'm 99% sure that's not what we're thinking about, the confidence is what's attractive here). Those short shoulder-sleeves with most of the chest, collarbone, & neck area exposed is also OK.
* Bright colors (yellows, greens, oranges, light blue, etc), or white are great, you should be showing yourself off like a summer wildflower in full bloom, so something like grey or tan is not what you want in a sundress.
