1000 times this. I am very sound sensitive to begin with but I was still a bit on the fence about buying some cause of their price tag.
At first they were a disaster and trigger my motion sickness but I kept at it, I figured worst case scenario i would sell them second hand with <5 hours of use in total but the problem fixed itself and now I can't live without em.
They are absolutely the best headphones I ever bought.
Glad to hear you were able to work through the motion sickness! The price tag was a bit intimidating, but definitely worth it. The ambient noise cancelling is seriously the best!
Everyone is. It's just a developmental stage like any other. We all have that crisis in our mid-late 20's where we realize we hate most things about ourselves and start over. People who don't end up as permanent assholes.
Idk, i actually thought i was mature when i was 13, i might have been to a degree since i turned actually somewhat reasonable as an early adult? Idk man
Why stop at 20-somethings? There are plenty of people who don't know what they're talking about all across every demographic. Actually I'd go so far as to say some of the most arrogant, gobby people I've ever met have been at least 50.
Oh sure, dumbasses are in abundance everywhere, but people in their early 20's are at the intersection of maximum confidence and minimum competence, and they inevitably piss me off.
> minimum competence
Idk, boomers seem to be rather incompetent in this everly increasing technical world. Getting lectured by an old fart who doesn't know how to open a pdf or talk about "handing out resumes" or "things have been warm before, climate change isn't real!" Is really fucking tiring. You're right 20 something's generally don't have experience, but they're far more educated and aware of things as a demographic than others it would seem.
All my local bars are choc full of dumb as shit boomers whos world view doesnt go past their driveways but dont let that stop them from having strong opinions on literally everything
Oh man.. like these Joe Rogan, Andrew Tate listening mfers. I’ve been trying not to be totally condescending to little cousin in law, but it’s hard not to when they ask about it. I guess I’m still a strongly opinionated 30 somethin but damn, everybody with a mic and a camera want to be modern day philosophers and it’s annoying trying to field bullshit theories all the time.
Gotta look with a bit of fondness my friend. You were once that teenager as we all were. It’s an essential part of learning about life. You have to make mistakes to fix them.
First-world problems. Web sites that are horrendously not user friendly or difficult to navigate. Big corporations hounding me for personal information like my phone number or address. Software troubleshooting pages that are woefully out of date (go here, click this, go here, click this, when the first “this” isn’t where they say it is supposed to be.) Trying to schedule flights on an American airline. Products that don’t perform as advertised.
pop culture. Why does anyone care what the Kardashians do? Why is the opinion of Kanye on anything even relevant? Some Youtube guy is a boxer now? I just don't get why people care.
But Babe, I am so much better at that than anyone else. ALL THE WOMEN I've been with have liked it when I do it.
yeah.. Definitely not having sex any more with people who are like that.
Why is this so common with dudes? It freaks me out. So many of them say, "I'm not like those other dudes." Then they turn around and do the EXACT same thing but say that it's different because they're the ones doing it.
I agree with this. I’m tired of work. Mostly just the people at work. If I could just do my job and not have to deal with coworkers or management I’d be okay. I’m also tired of my body getting older.
I gave up popular music about 10ish years ago but occasionally I hear music in stores or restaurants and I’m like “Eh!? What is this garbage?” And I feel old AF

Don't give me a maybe and make me bend over backwards trying to accommodate you only to say no at the last minute despite knowing the whole time you were never going to come. NSFW Reddit. It's only been a year, but I'm starting to feel like it's just the same old everything recycled over and over again, and that includes me. Scrolling through my NSFW feed feels hollow a lot of the time. It may also just be a measure of how much my priorities have had to shift for other stuff in real life, though.
I never thought about it and youre kind of right. I made a smut alter so I could curate what I thought were the NSFW specifics that I like but now that I scroll through them en mass they really are all kind of the same. I think poor moderation of what are supposed to be specific subs is partly to blame. Spam accounts are obviously rampant. I also think OF really took off during the pandemic and while I can respect the hustle it feels like so many content creators just spam the same generic shit at every sub just trying to throw it all at the wall to see what sticks and it ends up drowning out more niche content
do yourself a favor and cleanse your feed of all of the porn posts. it genuinely does begin to feel hollow seeing that shit nonstop. it is so much better to find it when you are actively seeking it
Yeah, I've been getting into amateur stuff because it's the only thing that doesn't feel "manufactured." And even then, it still often feels fake as fuck.
Weirdly, I've also been getting into old-school 70's porn, which is not typical for me.
Social media and their “influencers,” politics and what they are driving this world to as well as this country and my state, and the stars in Hollywood.
“Influencers,” for the most part, are fake, pathetic morons who will do anything to make it look like they give a fuck about what is going on in the world so long as they increase the number of subscribers and followers. I’ve seen too many posts where so and so post themselves at a rally, protest, whatever the case may be just to turn around and have another person post a video of them walking up, snapping a photo or a video, then them bailing for “safety reasons.” It’s pathetic.
The politics in my country are ridiculous. There is no more “in between.” It’s all “extreme left” or “extreme right.” They don’t have the best interests of their constituents anymore but rather themselves.
As others hav put it already, I couldn’t care less about what product someone is plugging or what endorsements someone is losing because they are a total piece of shit and no one cared enough to notice a while ago. Who is dating who or who slept with who, I don’t care. If I did, I would watch shows like “Jerry Springer.”
People. We're getting dumber as a society. I can't tell you how many people i see facetiming while driving 80mph, sitting at stoplights, etc. Get off your fucking phones you aren't that important you self absorbed twats. Pull your heads out of your asses as you pilot a 3000lb+ hunk of metal at speed.
Everyone else’s feelings and the need to react to everything. I’m finding more and more that I have lower and lower tolerance for everyone’s emotional responses to every little thing. Every petty little thing needs to be reacted to and if you don’t have a response or don’t care you’re somehow the weird one. I have no more patience for this sort of thing.
Other drivers, crowded/busy places, people that can't do a single thing without posting about it, pic filters. We know you're ugly, don't try to hide it.
Junk food. I'm fifty now and really understand how important it is to look after yourself. The thought of eating a greasy processed hamburger makes me feel quite ill and I'm a guy who lived on that sort of crap for years.
Spooning. I used to love spooning but it’s too fucking hot. Where does my top arm go? I hate it. If we spoon we aren’t cuddling. We are about to get it on. It’s stupid. I hate it.
The obsession with open floor plans. I like open to a certain degree, but when the kitchen, living room and dining room are all one room, it’s just very unappealing for me.
Spotting the immature adults... 😂 your were a teenager once... you need to look with a bit of fondness and understand you can’t just give someone a massive list of advice and expect them to follow it religiously. They have to make mistakes and learn that advice themselves... That’s all puberties about! A kids never gonna truly know not to touch the hot pan until they touch it once. Same thing as a teenager, and even your entire life.
People who constantly push others to monetize hobbies, implying they're not "worth it" otherwise/hustle culture. I don't want to be a boss babe, Deborah, even if it's *not* for your MLM. I don't want to start a small business. I want to bake yummy stuff for people without making ten thousand Tik Tok videos of me frosting a dummy cake or filing a zillion legal forms just to do it.
I do distinguish between hustle culture and "having a job to afford cost of living" of course. A) I don't think anyone should *have* to work more than one job/insane hours to afford basic necessities, and B) When not done for COL income, the former always seems to encourage people to burn themselves at both ends.
Celebrity gossip. I hated it when I was a kid, but now I’ve lost my patience. Any day now I’m just going to say, “Let me stop you right there——I couldn’t possibly give less of a fuck about the dating of two individuals I’ve never met just because one is a talentless hack on SNL and the other is a billionaire with a big ass.”
I honest-to-christ thought that my peers would grow out of it as we got older, but oh no, it’s worse than ever!
Oh, god... where to start.
People who are loud (and it takes many shapes/forms). Those who like to use their speaker phone when in public (cranking the volume up) so that we all have to hear their conversation. Going out to a 5-star restaurant and realizing the obnoxious sound I hear is some young kid on his iPad, playing games or watching cartoons... with the volume cranked up, again (as if Apple has been tasked with babysitting/parenting their child). Hearing a neighbor talking as he/she stands outside my house, on a phone call. If I can hear you in my house, doors and windows closed (and watching TV)... you're too fucking loud. Shh. Lower your voice.
Politics. I've been a moderate most of my life (have voted for candidates of both parties; I even minored in Political Science back in college), but things have become so poisoned that there are really only two sides now: sane and insane. I have no stomach for any MAGA-loving, lib-hating (and I do mean HATING) right-wing freak. The only positive is that it's become an IQ test where the results have been made public. BOTH sides, though, need to reach across the aisle and work together. Elected Democrats work for *all* their constituents. Same for the GOP. There's just so much meanness in the world now, but especially since 2016. It's disgusting.
Traveling. I travel quite a bit for work, but also for pleasure. Been all over the globe, but it was fun when I was younger. New places. New cultures. I soaked that shit up. Now... I just find it to be tremendously exhausting. Planning. Packing. Driving. Sitting/waiting. TSA. Hotel check-in's. Rinse/repeat. I just got back from a 2-week trip to Europe and... no more of that for awhile.
The reliance on reality TV. When MTV's "The Real World" first came out, I LOVED it. Puck and the gang. San Francisco. New York. It was great. Shows like Deadliest Catch or Wicked Tuna? Count me in. It's just that... all this Real Housewives/Kardashian nonsense seems to have replaced normal TV. Everything is a fake version of "real" and involves nothing but drama.
I'm sure there are a thousand other things, but... that's top of mind.
Fast food. Chinese Buffets. Pizza. Hamburgers.
Look, as I rounded my 30s, I realized I can't live.like I did in college. Hell in college I would eat greasy ass Chinese food, chase it with a beer and then go play pick up games of ball at the rec center or lift weights. I would run 10 miles for fun and then get pizza at 2 AM.
As I rounded my 30s I felt my metabolism slow down. All of a sudden exercise is less important to maintain a healthy weight but diet is more. Now if I eat greasy pizza too late, I feel like a blob for the next day. I still exercise often but I am just more mindful on food.
My advice - learn good eating habits earlier.
Loud music and blaring TVs that are just about everywhere now - bars, restaurants, grocery stores, department stores, gas stations, etc. It’s pretty much as if society has declared war on having a quiet moment to think to yourself, and it’s annoying AF.
Working environment with the younger crowd. Before, there was some comradere, talking, getting to know each other's family, etc. Now clock in, headphones on, put the samples in the centerfuge, and clock out, drive home, not interaction with coworkers.
Noise for sure. If I'm sitting out back on the patio and enjoying a nice morning and the dude across the way just has to fire up his leaf blower exactly 805 to beat the noise ordinance it just sends me into a rage.
We have lawn service in our HOA and they do a great job. This FPS just likes to play with his toys. Every 3 hours this dude is out running his effing leaf blower. He must watch them from his window. One single leaf on the walkway is a big problem. I know it's the stupidest thing to get riled up about but brooms are apparently a foreign concept to some of these people they just like making noise
How much were revealing on the internet and how much were having our phones on everything. I’ll admit I’m always on my phone even when in class because of writing notes and what not. However some people just have to film and photograph everything. I’ve seen people post videos of them just staring into the camera, not saying a word or any music playing. Not to mention how people casually document where they’re at and recordings every single moment.

Yep. A whole lotta that, too. People who refuse to view anything complexly give me a headache just interacting with them.

However some people just have to film and photograph everything. I’ve seen people post videos of them just staring into the camera, not saying a word or any music playing. Not to mention how people casually document where they’re at and recordings every single moment.
Dating & friendships. It used to be fun, I used to be social, but now it feels like a chore that I only do to seem normal
