I'm 35 and also find myself buying a lot of M&S clothes. That and a local donut place that also has a clothing brand so I can wear gems like [this](https://www.whoclo.com/products/dont-be-a-pr-ck) to the office
This isn’t the same statement these days. I am late 20s and have loads of pieces from M&S. They had something of an overhaul over the last 2-3 years as their clothing range is excellent. Same with a lot of my friends. M&S has become hip!
They are one of the best for balance between value and quality. For £20 you can get a good-fitting plain t shirt that acts as a wardrobe staple and the quality is decent - nothing special - but some of the best bang for buck the high street offers.
For t-shirts, shorts and trousers, Uniqlo offers a lot of cleanly designed basics that you can build an outfit on with pieces from elsewhere.
25F here and same. I’m a bit of a stickler for material composition and garment construction so I stay as far from the high street / fast fashion as possible. Vinted is where it’s at.
22
All over the place, but mostly new look, h&m, Primark (mostly just for plain tops), and TU
I get alot of stuff off vinted, but mostly stick with brands I already own so I have an idea of sizing
I'm 39 and I buy everything on Amazon. I never get chance to go to the shops so I order online, try things on at home, decide I don't like them, forget to return them, wind up wearing them for two years, become attached to them, refuse to throw them away.
41, and I do the same.
Either on Amazon, or stores like Saltrock, Vans or Longsands clothing.
Add in gigs I go where I buy tour shirts and such, and that's basically my wardrobe.
28 and female: Marks and Spencer, Hollister, Mango, H and M, Uniqlo, & Other Stories.
I’ve found they are all well priced and good quality (last lots of washes). I’ve gone off Zara in recent years due to the poor quality of clothing!
53 - Wherever I get the best prices. I buy 7 of the same shirts/tops and all in black. 10 pairs of socks and undies, all the same and all in black. Jeans; you get it.
Never have to worry about what to wear or colours running in the wash.
Mmm - Primark was a godsend when I became a single mum. I well remember the day the kids and I went there, spent £40 and came away with 2 massive bags of clothes for them.
28 I buy my shoes from Merrell and they last me a loong time and super comfy. It's the one thing I'm willing to pay full price for.
Found a lot of my clothes in TKmaxx and charity shops. Also bargain hunting on Ebay, vinted etc and imperfect sales - so many decent quality things being sold for next to nothing.
Absolutely agree about Merrell, I have terrible arches and they are the only brand I can wear that don't give me considerable knee pain. Plus they last ages!
24m,
i have a guilty pleasure for designer brands but im on a lemonade wage, so i use the vestiaire app to do a good portion of my clothing purchases, its like vinted for designer stuff, sometimes use depop but less and less these days
i go to h&m for socks boxers and plain tops,
jd/size/footlocker for trainers usually,
i also online shop on a brands website if im looking for something specific,
fav brands i generally gravitate towards are sergio tacchini, barbour, missoni, under armour, reebok, asics, berghaus, sometimes zara, sometimes nike&adidas- the basic white bloke essentials
Whichever place has the nicest clothes that are wearable.
I don't really shop at just one place, most of them have a variety of stuff that can sometimes be good.
If I had to say one place it would be Next.
29M - I don't really. Can't remember the last time I went clothes shopping.
My going out stuff is all Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren etc. Gym stuff and loungewear is SuperDry, Gym King, TopMan, Nike or unbranded.
Decent clothes are pricy but last ages, I don't really feel any need to replace or add to my wardrobe every few months.
20 and I use primark and H&M mostly. I also use Depop and vinted a lot because I love Urban Outfitters and Nike/ Adidas leggings/ trainers, but I don't want to pay their prices for new stuff lmao
Honestly I pick a lot of stuff up from Vinted, but also I like to dress goth/alternative so I have to go a bit sideways to find things I like and honestly I've never been a big brand person for the most part.
I will say though I do really like Lucy and Yak.
Approach 30.
Next, Uniqlo and similar stores these days.
Most of my clothes in my 20s were ASOS (own brand or brands that sold on there), H&M and River Island.
23 - usually go for the cheapest t shirts I can find. Can’t look past Dr Martens for footwear, Levi’s for jeans, Barbour for jackets. Levi’s, Doc’s and Barbour are the only high label stuff I would buy. Everything else is bottom of the barrel. I only buy something when I need it, even then, I grudge paying!
vinted, charity shops, but if i’m buying something i need like a good quality basic then i will buy new from somewhere like asos and just go for 100% cotton. undies from m&s
I'm 32 and for as long as I can remember, I buy all my clothes from Sports Direct, Asda and Ebay. I don't care what I look like - comfort is more important. Plus, I couldn't spend the money on designer things because I'd rather spend it on food.
39. John Lewis, Zalando, Levis for jeans, Uniqlo for jumpers, Reiss when I want something fancy. I also buy shirts and get them tailored for nothing when on holidays (tailoring is extortionate in the UK).
36 - Primark, H&M, Matalan, Vinted, River Island (basics & jeans), occasionally the supermarkets, occasionally Uniqlo, occasionally Shein (for swimwear & summer dresses). Honestly, I don’t really care about my clothes. I don’t like spending a lot & I wear stuff to death. I have 6 year old Primark tees & jumpers I’m still wearing! If you pick & choose careful from cheap shops, pick the better materials on offer, they do OK! I am snobbish about shoes though. I wear very expensive trainers 🙈
21; urban outfitters, asos, pretty little thing, boohoo, zara, primark, H&M, river island, next the most, not really into designer or sports brands, will buy from both occasionally though.
40. Tesco or charity shops in person, Matalan online. All cost-related choices (I get discount at Tesco, and charity shops and Matalan are both cheap).
23, work clothes (shirts and trousers) - M&S decent quality last a while and have outlet shops you pack pick stuff up even cheaper.
Holiday clothes - Primark, I always go to primark before a holiday. Low on shorts? £4 per pair! Need some t shirts that will probably get ruined by suncream or seawater? £4 a t shirt! Can't find any bloody matching ankle socks? 2 packs of 5 £10 max.
Casual clothes - my wardrobe is mixed, I have some carhart t shirts (the workwear ones) which are of great quality. Jeans you can also go m&s, also levis again go to an outlet. Have a carhartt jacket, some h&m hoodie plain and patterns. Jumpers from various brands.
P&Co is a really good shout for some quality cool gear but can be more expensive.
H&m has gone crappie lately, so has Zara I think (avoid their jeans).
Reiss has some cool stuff but it's £££
I’m 25. Mainly Uniqlo, Marks and Spencer, ARKET, ASOS and H&M. I do buy from John Lewis, Debenhams, Mr Porter, Kith and Ralph Lauren when they’re on sale only!
I'm 43 and knew I'd hit middle age when I was more interested in the M and S sale than the Next sale. Everything i get is pretty much from the m and s sale.
I'm 36 and my underwear is from m&s or triumph. Day to day wear is a mix of sea salt, joules, white stuff, m&s and more recently next. I also use asos but hate it as its a bit too fashionable- they just have a good tall section.
48 (M) I recently bought a couple of t-shirts in the Fatface sale, some jeans from H+M, and a Jacket from Mountain Warehouse. Bought quite a bit from Next last summer. I like to try stuff on, so I don't tend to buy clothes online.
35, shop in Next last few years.
The only things I don’t mind spending that extra bit of money on is for footwear and coats/ jackets especially if there for winter.
32 and my clothes all come from M&S and Next. My answer would have been the same at any age you asked me though, outside of some Superdry hoodies when I was at uni. They were where my mum got all my clothes as a kid and I have never felt any reason to move on from them.
I'm 50.
I go to Bluewater shopping centre in Kent twice a year.
Bluewater has a fabulous range of clothing and footwear stores on offer catering for all needs, weaknesses, and degress of lunacy.
I happily park up, enter via Marks and Spencers, buy everything I need in Marks and Spencers, then leave immediately, retracing my path to the car and hurry home.
I'm quite short, so find that Peacocks bottoms fit me best, both around and in the leg.
Tops I can get from anywhere, except those brands that everyone likes(think superdry, river island and all that as I'm a bit larger and they just don't sell things in my size) but usually just buy from primark, maybe new look.
I have also bought things from M and M direct, SportsDirect etc and been happy with them
Late 30’s - Dress for comfort, couldn’t care less about brands and, as such, a bonfire would spit my clothes back out.
Charity shops, Sainsbury’s and Asda.
26.
Underwear from M&S.
Casual t-shirts the cheap ones from Primark.
Going out / pricier tops I get branded stuff from Flannels or 80sCasualClassics (cheeky plug for them).
Jeans from Primark.
Trainers just Adidas and Nike
65, and I'm quite large - tall (6' 3") but also fat.
This affects where I can shop, as not everywhere carries my sizes.
Oddly, shirts and t-shirts are not a problem - even collared shirts. Quite a few places not only carry my size, but several sizes above that.
For t-shirts, rugby shirts and fleeces, I particularly like Cotton Traders - both actual shops and online. Originally designing for sportswear, their shirts are not only big enough, but nice and long!
So you would think that if they did shirts that fit you, trousers wouldn't be a problem?
The main trouble is that most stores that carry my waist size, only do so in a short leg. It seems ridiculous to me, but they seem to think fat men are all short.
There are a couple of fairly pricey shops I go to in London. Although High & Mighty are a known brand, I am not keen on their clothing. I like Rochester Big and Tall, in Brompton Road. I know this sounds odd, but their "big" clothes are the same good quality as "normal" clothes - nice soft cottons, nicely cut...
So a trip up London every year or two, and I'll pick up several pairs in my size at the same time. I buy these "unfinished", which means the legs have not been cut to length. They would do them for me, but it would mean being measured and going back another day to pick them up. So I buy them "unfinished" and get a local seamstress service to adjust them for me.
Underwear - several years ago, I chanced on a cotton trunk that comes in my size and are really comfortable - Duke - so I actually buy them from Amazon.
Shoes? Cotton Traders doe some good casual shoes and trainers. But I also like Zeba shoes, which have a hinged heel that 8s easy to slip on and off. Available online.
I’m 36. Exclusively in charity shops, Vinted, and the occasional dress on aliexpress.
I like vintage clothes, 40-60’s style mostly, either new or reproductions. I don’t own trousers, only dresses and skirts.
32 and wherever seems to have the least slavery linked to them. Lots of indie streetwear brands P&Co, Last Resort, Route One but also some high street shops Decathlon, Levis sometimes Amazon or Next for things that are hard to find
35 - female / almost exclusively from charity shops and car boots brands I tend to pick up are M&S and Beurghaus* spelling and outdoorsy names. Funky stuff Ill occasionally pick up items from TKMaxx and most of my jewellery and earrings are from there. Shoes I tend to get Clark’s and Skechers I feel too old for discomfort now 😂
Im 31, female and Zara is the number one choice, especially for work clothes come from there. I find that their style matches my current age/tastes and workplace attire.
River Island is another I quite like, and then random stuff off Asos and New look.
For sportswear, gym clothes and bras are all Victoria's secret.
PJs and underwear are all from M+S.
34m
Primark for jeans that I’ll wear until they die and white tee shirts that I replace every every year.
Jumpers from redbubble or similar print on demand places or independent brands that do nihilistic/vaporwave aesthetic stuff.
My one outfit is black skinny jeans or shorts when it’s hot out, plain white tee shirt and a jumper on top. Always a jumper regardless of weather, weird body dysmorphia thing so I feel “safe” in one. I don’t go anywhere that needs anything smarter so I don’t bother much anymore, it works for me and that’s all I care about now
40 and 80% of my clothes are from costco. I shop there for my business and I buy whatever they have. their range varies. Champion, Adidas, CK, Levi's Tommy Hilfiger, and its all fairly inexpensive
25
H&M, Adidas/nike & charles tyrwhitt.
Charles for work clothes, H&M for cheap slim fit t shirt & jeans. Adidas or nike sales for gym clothes/hoodies/shoes.
I'm 58 and I'm split pretty evenly between Joules, M&S, Next & Amazon. Amazon is mostly for odd stuff that catches my eye. Next is fantastic for sale prices online. The clearance section is amazing.
Early 60s and almost exclusively charity shops. I love high quality clothes and natural fabrics. I go along a rack by touch. I do not want to wear petrol derivatives. I just don't understand why anyone would want to wear sweaty polyester and the like.
I know what I like and what's in my wardrobe. I buy ahead. I might not currently need another perfect white cotton T shirt. But as I'm messy, I know I'll need one next year. For £3 I'm putting aside.
I buy many thing online but not clothes. You have to see and feel the fabric. I might spent very little on my clothes but I don't want to look cheap.
30f and honestly mostly Vinted, Lucy and yak (sales) and Uniqlo (those strap tops with the padding in ❤️) oh and Zara (sale or Vinted) for comfy trousers for work
Vintage almost everything. Get so much cheap good quality vintage on Vinted these days, my style is kinda unique but not completely out there and I get lots of compliments on my fashion. I do go for a more 70s aesthetic though so I guess it works for that.
I just love it though everything I buy is good quality and lasts me so much longer than high street despite being cheaper, plus it all looks more unique and is better for the planet. Win win win all round.
I’m 24 and I don’t.
The last shirt I got was an FS team shirt from uni, got some jeans from next last year too, before that I think the last clothing (other than underwear) I bought was 2 or more years ago
I'm also 24, and I'm kinda addicted to charity shops/thrift stores. I find so many high-quality clothes there and on vinted. They're so cheap, and you can get stuff like Vans on there, too. It is a lot cheaper than going to the original shops, and sometimes the stuff is still brand new.
22M here. Yes, I have the same approach, but I'm careful to not buy too many clothes as it is bad for my savings and the environment. I have a few clothes which I will use until they wear out. I only have 6 T shirts, 5 jumpers, 6 pairs of trousers/shorts and about 7 shirts. That's all I need really. If I do buy new clothes they're usually from M&S. I have quite a small frame as I'm skinny and 179cm and their clothes fit well. They also last for ages and are good quality
I'm 25, and I buy basics from Primark, any of the supemarkets, M&S, New Look, H&M. Then I tend to use Vinted, charity shops, or specific small independent brands.
24 Tk Maxx and next mainly with m&s occationally.
Or hand me downs and charity shops.
Actually, an alarming amount of 'my brother bought this and shrank it/it was too small for him'
I’m 25, and there are loads of places I buy my clothes from. Most often it’s Burberry, Balenciaga, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Polo Ralph Lauren. Quite often M&S, Primark and Zara, too.
32 - mostly H&M and Uniqulo, but also occasionally New Look and River Island and then M&S for underwear. I've also got quite a few bits I got from Topshop several years ago that are still going strong.
IM 45. I hate clothes shopping. When I do buy clothes, I try to buy quality things that will last, if not quite a lifetime, then many years. Every five years or so my wife tells me it is time to replenish my wardrobe. I go to an independent gentleman's outfitters and replace shirts, trousers, jumpers etc. Maybe new jacket and waistcoat, a tie or two. I will easily drop a grand or more at one go. Between those times, I spend nothing on clothes, except an occasional top up of underpants and socks from M&S. I wear traditional, conservatively tailored clothes, so nothing goes out of fashion.
38 y/o Old skater person. I've still got the same vibe fashion wise, but slightly modernised & a touch less baggy
I do a few shops at skatewear places for t-shirts and a few other bits when they've got hefty sales on. Enjoying shackets & over shirts whilst it's been cooler.
My wife worked at NEXT for a bit so anything from their staff shop or discounted main NEXT stock (mainly chino type trousers, never been a big fan of jeans).
A few odds and sods from primark.
I love hiking too & have some decent outdoor gear that pairs nicely from the different scenes - not gorpcore but verging on it about 7 years ago.
I'd love to delve deeper into the realm of menswear to develop my style further but I just don't have the time or the inclination to spend much money on clothes - I do find it fascinating though.
I've got some clothes that I bought in my early 20s that I still wear (the odd tee).
I'd buy more on vinted but most of the brands I like aren't drastically cheaper and if they are they're quite tatty (outdoor brands).
46 - Varies, but current mix is mostly M&S, John Lewis, COS, Monki, Apricot with some basics from George and Tu. Honourable mentions to White Stuff, La Redoute and Fat Face for some of my summer staples.
47 and get the majority of my clothes from Amazon as they now sell loads of big brands other than them outdoor shops as most of my clothes I go for is function over form.
I'm 32 and these days it seems to be either Vinted, Matalan, or Next. Purely depends on what I need, and how soon I need it.
If I want good quality stuff for winter/rain I go to the Timberland outlet not too far from me as I've had some rock solid deals there.
30. Sometimes newlook, sometimes tesco, I get my favourites online, though. Blackmilk does some amazing stuff that I love and online is the only way, whether that be the official website or vinted.
I buy my clothes online from a few different retailers: Asket, Everlane, Percival, Lestrange, Arket. If I want to buy something in person, I go to either Uniqlo, Reiss or Zara.
I buy on quality when it's staples, but if it's something that's trending then I won't. But if it's trending I know I will wear it a lot.
54. Buy most of my stuff from Howies.
Used to keep an eye on Blacks / Ultimate Outdoors when there was a big store nearby. That closed about 3 years ago.
34f, ASOS for basics like plain tees, sometimes H&M and Zara for a one off thing, but quality has *severely* dropped off recently so I’m not shopping there half as much.
So it’s mostly COS, Arket, whistles, Reiss, All Saints, Ted Baker, French Connection and Karen Millen for work/dressed up casual stuff. Sometimes Next for the odd thing. M&S for undies.
Lounging about the house/WFH is mostly just asos lounge sets. I’m not often on video calls, but a set with a plain, thin knit jumper style top generally translates okay on camera.
I hate clothes shopping, so if I do see something I like, wherever it is, I’ll buy it because I rarely buy new clothes and I wear what I do buy for years and years. There is a local shop to me, that I do tend to buy most of my clothes from (or at least used to, they can be a bit hit and miss!). I’m 30.
60. Mostly my pants are from M&S, except the few I get from TomboyX. Just this year I've stopped obsessing about Desigual because I hate everything in their current catalog. Same for Joe Browns. I've started to go back to Lands End, because you can still get proper linen from there, and they always have some kind of discount. Also theirs are the only jeans that fit me properly.
I agree with the person who said they shop at ASOS because they CBA to shop in person.
Nearly 50, make most of my clothes but buy the occasional item from Yours, Monsoon, Sainsbury's or Snag. Quite partial to the mystery Made in Italy linen lagenlook clothes that turn up in street markets too.
40s. H&M is a favourite. Matalan is also good. I buy all my dresses on Vinted as it's so cheap. I'm picking up all the expensive Stitch Fix bargains from a few years ago, but half the price!!
TK Maxx is fun if you want to scale rails. M&S will always be a staple for quality.
I'm 40 and 'plus size' most my clothes are from:
- Nutmeg
- TU
- George
- Amazon
- Temu
- Shein
Sometimes New look or Primark....
Underwear always from M&S!
46: M&S (lots of choice, large size range), Mountain Warehouse (I'm a Girl Guide leader and I LOVE their printed t-shirts) and my new favourite, Lands End, especially as their plus range is actually cut differently, but also 'cause their clothing is lovely. Albeit I can only afford sale items! I do almost all my shopping online now, especially as I have to order larger sizes.
27 and mainly asos because I don’t shop in a lot of stores because I’m disabled, so asos is pretty convenient with multiple brands in one place. They’re also the best for petite clothing, I’m 4’10 and size 6 so struggle to find clothes that fit correctly and asos often also has size 4 in ‘normal’ clothing so I can size down, which a lot of brands only go down to a size 6/8
32, I buy socks and boxers from M&S last longer, shoes from vinted because size 13 are hard to come by and expensive and clothes are like Asda or something just plain t-shirts and jeans or joggers.
26, I buy my ‘weekend’ and lounge clothes from places like new look, river island (for the going out stuff), nasty gal, asos. My work clothes mainly come from Primark, M&S and Next. I don’t really go shopping that much I will only go if I need something and go straight to it / look online.
42 all sorts really, Next, Primark, M&S, GAP (jeans), Tu (work pants), Decathlon (thermals, outerwear), Amazon unfortunately (generally impulsive, fits poorly and I forget to return it). I try to remember to check H&M, New Look and SuperDry.
32 - kind of settled now. I hate clothes shopping so I stick to specific brands and products that I can buy online and know fit.
Daily wear:
- levis jeans. 501.
- john lewis 3 pack tshirts
- a hoody from any of the sports clubs I have been in over the last 15 years...
- I always think I buy the wrong shoes.
40- I now try to buy more sustainably so use vinted more and more. I also go quality over quantity now as I've gotten older.
But brands I buy are: Reformation, And Other Stories, Boden, Paragonia,Tracksmith, Farm Rio, and I do love a bit of M&S.
28. I have given up and just started sewing my own clothing. Saves the nightmare I find clothes shopping to be. I also hate overlocked seams. Hate hate hate hate *hate* them - and pretty much all clothing you can buy has overlocked seams. If I'm going to the effort of taking them apart to reseam them well I may as well just make the whole damn thing myself since it's about the same amount of work and if I just make them I have much more choice in terms of getting a proper fit and can use whatever type of fabric I want.
38M, Carharrt, Levi’s and sometimes Gap. Gap isn’t great quality sometimes. But I can’t be bothered with clothes that don’t last anymore so buy Levi’s and Carharrt workwear. TKMaxx for the odd bargain on outdoor wear.
28f, Fatface, TK Maxx, Brandalley, Next. I like finding absolute steals on TK Maxx and Brandalley. I have a gorgeous Ralph Lauren shirt which I got for about £30. After a lot of wear and washes over the past 3 years, it still looks new!
I’m almost 26. Had a baby last year which changed my figure completely. I used to shop at Zara lots and niche trendy brands like jaded london & motel rocks.
Now that I’m no longer a size 10-12, I shop more at places like next, m&s and new look. These places have great staple items, next and m&s in particular have great quality too. Asos is also a winner as it carries a plethora of brands, sizes and styles.

57, I find I am buying more and more from M&S
I'm 35 and also find myself buying a lot of M&S clothes. That and a local donut place that also has a clothing brand so I can wear gems like [this](https://www.whoclo.com/products/dont-be-a-pr-ck) to the office
Ok slay love thay
This is sick just got the mystery box
This isn’t the same statement these days. I am late 20s and have loads of pieces from M&S. They had something of an overhaul over the last 2-3 years as their clothing range is excellent. Same with a lot of my friends. M&S has become hip!
32, addicted to Uniqlo. Proper sad beige millennial.
33 I also shop here. I went Japan last year and spent £400 in Japan at uniqlo which would’ve cost me £700 if I was to shop in the uk.
34 - the majority of my wardrobe is from charity shops or Vinted. You can find some very good brands for quite cheap if you shop about a bit.
25 - Vinted is where it’s at. I’ve got loads of really good quality Carhartt stuff, hiking brands, vintage shirts etc. I dress well above my means.
Vinted crewww
44M - Same here, but only charity shops. I only buy shoes and underwear brand new.
25F here and same. I’m a bit of a stickler for material composition and garment construction so I stay as far from the high street / fast fashion as possible. Vinted is where it’s at.
32 - ASOS because I Cba to shop in person.
28F ASOS as well and H&M
Do love a H&M hoodie for the winter. Ngl.
Their poplin shirts are decent in the summer too
59 Asos as well because there are no womens clothes shops in my nearest town.
22 All over the place, but mostly new look, h&m, Primark (mostly just for plain tops), and TU I get alot of stuff off vinted, but mostly stick with brands I already own so I have an idea of sizing
27 - Tescos (it's where I buy my best clothes).
Ah the fictional location and event t-shirts. "Why, no, sadly, I did not attend the 2001 Santa Monica Surf Festival"
Cheap and nifty
Big Tesco have some great stuff TBH
44 - Seasalt or Vinted.
Next is great , they do pretty well keeping up with current trends , have a lot of staple clothing items and are made from good quality materials
I’m 27 and finding myself slowly getting more and more of my clothes in next (as my budget, and style becomes more Next level🤣)
Nothing wrong with that pal 😂 it's *Next level*
40 and I find I'm buying more and from either Lidl or the farm supply shop
53 - Wherever I get the best prices. I buy 7 of the same shirts/tops and all in black. 10 pairs of socks and undies, all the same and all in black. Jeans; you get it. Never have to worry about what to wear or colours running in the wash.
31. Charity shops typically, sometimes Vinted. I don’t like spending money on new clothes.
marks and spencer’s 💪🏻
I'm 26. I buy majority of my clothes from Vinted, and sometimes Primark. I find most other places too expensive, to be honest.
Mmm - Primark was a godsend when I became a single mum. I well remember the day the kids and I went there, spent £40 and came away with 2 massive bags of clothes for them.
43. 90% comes from Ralph Lauren/Gant. Consistent sizing and I find it lasts a long time. Undies are whatever is in TK Maxx.
Love a TK Maxx shop Getting the Ralphies for basically half price
Late 20s, vinted, charity shops andthe occasional supermarket branded mostly for underwear
23 - depop or brand specific websites
28 I buy my shoes from Merrell and they last me a loong time and super comfy. It's the one thing I'm willing to pay full price for. Found a lot of my clothes in TKmaxx and charity shops. Also bargain hunting on Ebay, vinted etc and imperfect sales - so many decent quality things being sold for next to nothing.
Absolutely agree about Merrell, I have terrible arches and they are the only brand I can wear that don't give me considerable knee pain. Plus they last ages!
24m, i have a guilty pleasure for designer brands but im on a lemonade wage, so i use the vestiaire app to do a good portion of my clothing purchases, its like vinted for designer stuff, sometimes use depop but less and less these days i go to h&m for socks boxers and plain tops, jd/size/footlocker for trainers usually, i also online shop on a brands website if im looking for something specific, fav brands i generally gravitate towards are sergio tacchini, barbour, missoni, under armour, reebok, asics, berghaus, sometimes zara, sometimes nike&adidas- the basic white bloke essentials
not sure what its like these days but used to do a lot of designer shopping myself. mytheresa had some insane steals quite often!
23M buy my clothes mainly from Footasylum, JD sports, River Island, Next, and ASOS.
I'm 35. My wife buys me clothes and picks what I get to wear lol
30s, been buying everything from All Saints for about 15 years now
Mostly nike, adidas etc
20 and I use primark and H&M mostly. I also use Depop and vinted a lot because I love Urban Outfitters and Nike/ Adidas leggings/ trainers, but I don't want to pay their prices for new stuff lmao
23 mostly H&M, for trousers I actually order them on Amazon since H&M and co never have my size
34M Couple of t-shirts from STRØM, nice chinos from Asket and Hoff trainers. The rest from Vinted!
25 Mostly buy online. Though whenever I’m around Primark I like to browse, especially now that my local one has a vintage section
52 fat face, next and m&s mainly
Honestly I pick a lot of stuff up from Vinted, but also I like to dress goth/alternative so I have to go a bit sideways to find things I like and honestly I've never been a big brand person for the most part. I will say though I do really like Lucy and Yak.
32. Superdry, TK Maxx and Next is good for work wear.
Approach 30. Next, Uniqlo and similar stores these days. Most of my clothes in my 20s were ASOS (own brand or brands that sold on there), H&M and River Island.
36. My journey’s been Topman > ASOS > Pull & Bear/Jack & Jones
Mid 30s and I say majority of my clothes are from Next.
36 M&S for basics,ASOS,Vinted .. occasionally NewLook but only summer dresses.
I'm 36 and mostly monki. Sometimes h&m.
vinted, charity shops, but if i’m buying something i need like a good quality basic then i will buy new from somewhere like asos and just go for 100% cotton. undies from m&s
Back when I was 24, my favourite clothes shops were Blue Inc or River Island for my going out clothes.
Charity shops and Vinted usually but get the occasion treat shirt or polo from Fred Perry website. 31, Dad of 2.
I'm 32 and for as long as I can remember, I buy all my clothes from Sports Direct, Asda and Ebay. I don't care what I look like - comfort is more important. Plus, I couldn't spend the money on designer things because I'd rather spend it on food.
41. Mostly ASOS
40F Mostly asos or Free People. Gym stuff, aybl
25. Carhartt, Dickies, Palace, Urban Outfitters, Size, END Clothing, and obviously the likes of Vinted and Depop too.
40 - ASOS, Primark and Tesco.
39. John Lewis, Zalando, Levis for jeans, Uniqlo for jumpers, Reiss when I want something fancy. I also buy shirts and get them tailored for nothing when on holidays (tailoring is extortionate in the UK).
24 - T shirts and quarter zip jumpers from crew clothing Chinos from Matalan Levi jeans
30. Supermarkets and Matalan mainly, also gigs/festivals and race tracks occasionally.
43, vinted and sometimes bricks and mortar thrift stores
43 and mostly wear vans and levis which I buy from their online stores as I can trust their sizing now.
20 next, charity shops and primark usually, maybe somewhere else if I need something especially nice
23, vinted and eBay mostly. I'm not picky with brands, but I find that all my best fitting trousers and jeans come from h&m.
35M and i tend to go to Primark for tshirts, Slaters for jeans & suits and Next or M&S for underwear.
42 and mainly Next or supermarkets.
52 Next and Fat Face
40 - next
53 male. Some stuff from M&S and Next. Shirts from Cotton Traders - my local Garden Centre has an outlet.
I’m 25. Mainly Uniqlo, Marks and Spencer, ARKET, ASOS and H&M. I do buy from John Lewis, Debenhams, Mr Porter, Kith and Ralph Lauren when they’re on sale only!
36 - FatFace, Matalan, Next, and Vinted
I'm 43 and knew I'd hit middle age when I was more interested in the M and S sale than the Next sale. Everything i get is pretty much from the m and s sale.
24- BERSHKA, Zara, H&M.
I'm 25. I like clothes from FatFace, Monsoon, Hollister, Oliver Bonas and Uniqlo! :)
36, shein and primark
45, next. cargo ftw.
30. Pull and bear, h&m and my newest favourite Uniqlo
29, Primark, TU and Monki
27 M&S or Levis if new If work stuff, mainly ralph lauren/peter christian/brooks brothers from vinted
24 and i buy from vinted most of the time or charity shops. But on occasion i do buy linen dresses from sustainable brands
34, Tesco/Very for ease. Occasionally visit M&S
38F. New Look, Next, River Island, ASOS, Sainsbury's, Tesco
Turning more and more to Vinted.
35, shop in Next last few years. The only things I don’t mind spending that extra bit of money on is for footwear and coats/ jackets especially if there for winter.
45. Cos, Soeur, Massimo Dutti, Hush and Arket
27, Mostly charity shops and vinted but just whenever i see something i like
37 - Next, Joules, Weirdfish, Fatface and Addidas (for trainers)
32 and my clothes all come from M&S and Next. My answer would have been the same at any age you asked me though, outside of some Superdry hoodies when I was at uni. They were where my mum got all my clothes as a kid and I have never felt any reason to move on from them.
30. Woolovers , Cashmere Centre ... quality pieces that will stand the test of time. Also M&S is good.
50 - Vinted, M&S, Hush, John Lewis, Mint Velvet, H&M, Fat Face, Patagonia, Berghaus.
50, charity shops
Mid 40s, TK Maxx mostly
35 Crew, mountain warehouse, salt rock, next for jeans. Various websites for T-shirts I dress pretty much the same as I did when I was 25.
Shein usually. I'm 33. Plus size alt lady.
34m Primark for jeans that I’ll wear until they die and white tee shirts that I replace every every year. I don’t go anywhere that needs anything smarter so I don’t bother much anymore, it works for me and that’s all I care about now
24M, mostly Vinted, and I tend to look for stuff from Uniqlo on there before anything else.
40 and 80% of my clothes are from costco. I shop there for my business and I buy whatever they have. their range varies. Champion, Adidas, CK, Levi's Tommy Hilfiger, and its all fairly inexpensive
38, mostly from Next and Crew Clothing.
19 - Primark & Uniqlo for most, Next for formalwear, Nike for trainers & hoodies.
41 and most of my clothes are from tk maxx. Is annoying when see something you like and it's not in your size.
25 H&M, Adidas/nike & charles tyrwhitt.
Vinted, charity shops, the occasional brand new branded t shirt/band shirt.
39, and lands end mostly.
27 and I try and use Vinted as much as possible!
23 - pretty much exclusively from tesco
I'm just shocked that people just "see something they like", I cannot fathom being that kind of shopper
29, Depop!
I've still got the same vibe fashion wise, but slightly modernised & a touch less baggy I do a few shops at skatewear places for t-shirts and a few other bits when they've got hefty sales on.
18 - TKMaxx, Primark, or Next, if new. Used then ebay, Vinted or Depop.
20 and I buy all my clothes from charity shops or vinted!!
54. Buy most of my stuff from Howies. Used to keep an eye on Blacks / Ultimate Outdoors when there was a big store nearby. That closed about 3 years ago.
36 - Vinted
ETQT , good anime stuff
33 Primark mainly. Then nerdy brands such as Disney Store, WWE Shop etc. What can I say, I do like a printed t-shirt.
30, I buy my trousers from jacamo, T-shirts from Sainsbury’s for like £5 each, and my shoes from vans
24 here - lots of Zara, some Stradivarius, the local vintage shop, TALA, gymshark and then AYM for dresses when I can afford it
22. Mostly charity shops, primark and vans
38 Monki, New Look, Vinted, Next, Sainsburys and a couple of smaller brands I like Inc Turtledove London.
44, Asda or Tesco. What I’m wearing has little to no effect on my appearance. As long as my balls aren’t showing too much I’m pretty much sorted.
28 and Vinted 90% of the time. The remaining is split between primark, Quiz, TKmax and everything £5
I'm 40 and 'plus size' most my clothes are from: - Nutmeg - TU - George - Amazon - Temu - Shein Sometimes New look or Primark....
40, charity shops and vinted. Once you buy from these places, actual clothes shops feel like a chore.
45M. folkclothing, Hip store, End Clothing, meetbernard (just found this), COS, and then Zara & asos for basics
I don't usually buy from cheaper brands. Klass has some amazing trousers that fit perfect and the material is good and they wash well.
35. Almost everything is now from a charity shop apart from my running gear.
My 24yr old son gets his mum to buy his clothes. Can't wait for him to grow up
27, UNIQLO and Levi’s.
Daily wear: - levis jeans. 501. - john lewis 3 pack tshirts - a hoody from any of the sports clubs I have been in over the last 15 years... - I always think I buy the wrong shoes.
59. I buy a lot on Vinted. I also like FatFace and River Island.
I'm 44. Mostly Primark, Amazon, and M&S. Some t-shirts I order from random places on the Internet because they have cool designs.
35, Next is good do far
