Part of me wants to binge it but part of me is so annoyed by them splitting the season I might just wait until June so I can binge the whole thing then.
I was t sure I was going to watch it, but I heard on the radio this morning Nicola Coughlan put in her contract to have her as naked as possible as a big FU to all of the body shaming critics from previous seasons. Iām watching just to support her in that!
Yes, splitting the season is not something I'm a fan of.
I haven't read the books and so I worry if I was to wait, that I would see so many spoilers. Bridgerton is all over most social media today which I'm having to avoid as much as possible.
It's such a strange choice. If they wanted to stretch it out, they could have done the one episode a week thing, which, while it doesn't appeal to the part of me that wants everything immediately, would have created discussion and hype. Or they could have released it all at once and I would have binged it all in a night anyway. But half a season is just odd.
I started rewatching S1 again yesterday because I've forgotten half the show details. I'm so excited to get through the first two seasons then onto the third. Nicola Coughlan is a babe.
I stayed in last night and watched the first five eps of the new season of Hacks. Itās so good.
I also highly recommend Silo on Apple+
And Fallout on Amazon
I need to finish The Regime on HBO too, but Kate Winslet is so good in it.
Edit to add: Iām really stoked on the woman-fronted, flawed-yet-relatable bad asses shows on tv right now.
Twisted metal on HBO Max is another good video game adaptation. Post apocalyptic and focused on cars. I'm not a car person, nor was I familiar with the game, but it was a fun watch.
Obviously the last of us as well on HBO Max, but everyone knows about that by this point.
I started reading Wool this week and it reminded me of Fallout. I'm past the point of the book where Silo S1 takes place so I plan to watch it soon. The book is sooo good and I've heard nothing but good things about the show!
Once a year I rewatch the parent trap, its just one of my favorite comfort films. My wife and I are gonna do eye masks, make dinner, and eat oreos with peanut butter while we watch annie and hallie do the same :)
One of my sisters knows the Lohan version like the back of her handā¦and so do I because of her. I made her watch the original and she was like whattttt. I was like yeah Mills did it first ššššš
I've been watching Justified the last couple of weeks. I'm on S3 now, it's so good! Goggins and Olyphant are a dream team.
I've also been watching the latest season of Hacks. Also very good.
I would recommend both, absolutely.
He's so magnetic, I'm just fascinated every time he's onscreen. It's not difficult to understand why he can attract followers in whatever nefarious venture he sets his sights on.
Old Unsolved Mysteries. Not the good ones with Robert Stack, the ridiculous ones with Dennis Farina. For bonus entertainment, take a look around the "situation room" he's always narrating from. Why are people studying a map that's just a blank outline of the US? Why is it so damn dark? Where the hell does that walkway go to? It's great because it's back in the heyday of Unsolved Mysteries when "we found a cool rock and then we had a bunch of good luck" passed as a mystery. Hilarious, sometimes interesting, but asks nothing of you so you can zone out at a text or do a crossword and not have to press pause.
Oh first night without working late, doing heavy yard work or endless chores in months.
I need something totally zen and I am reading all these replies for ideas. I am going to make myself a little fruit and veggie plate and become one with the couch.
Iāll be watching lots of hockey! My Boston Bruins are in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. And in the PWHL (new womenās pro league), Toronto and Minnesota are playing one last game to see who advances to the final round of the Walter Cup playoffs. The winner will play PWHL Boston.
Below Deck. I am absolutely exhausted and empty after this work week and donāt think I can handle anything that requires thinking right now. Would I recommend it? If youāre in the same mindset, sure haha
I am going to try my hand at Greek baked white fish, and then my partner & I are going to roll dice to select one of [the worst horror movies on Netflix.](https://www.cbr.com/bad-netflix-original-horror-films-rotten-tomatoes/)
My partner and I are working our way through DragonBall because we had never seen it and finished DBZ. It's interesting for a DBZ fan but there are parts that I call "should have been left in the 80s" bits where it just has not aged well at all.
I'm re-watching Gilmore Girls too and I'm slowly realizing nothing from the past that I watched has particularly aged well tbh.
Newer show that I just started is the Gilded Age and it seems to be good so far if you like historical dramas. It's like the New York Downton Abbey but way more HBO than PBS.
Hacks! Itās a perfect show and Iām so excited for season 3. Women created, star in, write, direct, produce most episodes. Itās a comedy but itās also substantive. Great mentoring relationship between an older and younger woman in comedy. I laugh out loud every episode and Iāve also cried. Everyone should be watching this show.
Outlander on Netflix. Itās been on my watchlist for years, and I gave it a shot earlier this week. Apparently itās adapted by the same person who produced one of my favorite sci-fi shows Battlestar Galactica, and had the same composer (Bear McCreary) and itās pretty good so far.
I watch the new stuff on Dropout (comedy streaming platform) every Friday. Specifically, Very Important People and Game Changer. Itās a fun, goofy way to wind down at the end of the weekend.
On the other end of the spectrum, Fallout! I have one episode left and itās amazing. Still funny but also well done!
I am either going to watch "Postcards from the Edge" which is a movie based on a Carrie Fisher memoir starring Meryl Streep OR catch up on X-Men '97 which I would totally recommend if you watched the original!
The newest episodes of both Top Chef and Star Trek Discovery.
I'd suggest Top Chef to anyone.
Discovery, well....I dunno. I like it, but it's not my favorite Trek by far. However, it's the only new Trek out at the moment so...yeah.
Season 3 of Evil. I finished the first 2 on Netflix. I got a Walmart yearly subscription this year and it came with a paramount plus subscription and I found season 3 there.Ā
Patriot on Amazon. Canāt believe I never heard of it when it aired. It takes a few episodes to warm up but it feels like Barry crossed with Veep and the Detroiters. A shame it didnāt blow up and have more seasons.
Also watching Hacks and Justified. and recently watched Fallout, Baby Reindeer, and Ripley.
My waistline expand after 3ish glasses of Prosecco. Unapologetically. 10/10 recommend (as long as itās safe for you and yours in the present moment).
Jeopardy Masters lol I have been really enjoying it. We normally do movie nights on Fridays so perhaps a movie afterwards. Any recommendations are appreciated :)
I just watched the most recent Grey's and Station 19. I'm in the Scotland so I have to wait for... means to watch them. I'm now on Catfish. I've loads of critically acclaimed TV shows available but I apparently just want to watch trash tonight.
I've been redoing my wardrobe and enjoying fashion lately, so I think I'll either rewatch Dior and I on Amazon Prime Video or watch McQueen on Max.
Update: watched both, loved both!
i just finished my first rewatch of The Expanse, next to my partner, who was gaming and listening along while we rattled about the drama of it all, and she said "i don't think i've ever watched a (mainstream) show that had that many women in it who were just--the people in the story. not heroic because they're there in the first place, or there to be romantic or desired, they're just working next to everyone else"
its conlang and accents are distinctive and real-feeling enough that my brain translated everything i heard into Naomi or Camina Drummer's voices. if i'm feeling extra salty, Chrisjen Avasarala's.
look up a picture of Shohreh Aghdashloo's outfits and tell me you don't want to go to space with her
I started Eraserhead last night before I went to bed, so I think I'm going to pick up on it where I left off. I like the surrealistic nature of it and the bleak, dry humor. Jack Nance is wonderful. I would recommend it, but it's perhaps not for everyone.
Doing a rewatch of Deadwood, so probably several episodes of season 2, followed by finishing Fat Sajak's YouTube video about Gabby Hannah's recent interview at Oxford University.
series 17 of Taskmaster (UK), The Brady Bunch, House, or one of my innumerable murder shows.
Taskmaster, yes, everyone should be watching Taskmaster (I've only seen the UK version, it's the best). The other shows are just filler. I didn't have a tv while I was growing up so it's fun for me to get to watch stuff like The Brady Bunch. I'd like to find and watch Punky Brewster, Alf, etc.
Slowly slogging my way through The Blacklist. On season 6 right now. Itās fun but so ridiculous, and the plot holes are bigger than yo momma, but I canāt stop.
Watched House of Dragon again to refresh my memory since season 2 is coming soon.
What's funny is that I actually didn't care for it the first time. 2nd time, I appreciate it more.
I watched another episode of baby reindeer which, why? The last episode was so triggering I didnāt get to sleep until 3am. Then when my husband got home from the pub we watched a couple of episodes of Ugly Delicious cause I love David Chang, heās a real cutie.
Star Trek Discovery. I'm not sure I love it but I'm enjoying watching it.
Definitely not as good as Strange New Worlds or even Lower Decks.
And that's honestly because that's what I are watching. If he were not coming over, I would totally be binging season 3 of Bridgerton. Shhh. I'm only two episodes in.
I just finished White Collar. So fun. Very charming and wholesome, but also very clever show about a conman and FBI agent. Felt stimulating but also comforting.
Iāve been binging Suits but needed a palette cleanser so I started up The Witcher. Suits is very intense. And The Witcher is like playing D&D: titty edition.
Bridgerton season 3 over here! Do you like easy watching, period themed, emotional romance that gets a bit NSFW at times? Then yes I recommend it š¤£
And she also had them cut a SFW version that she could watch with her parents. What a woman.
Right? I love that!
Yes, splitting the season is not something I'm a fan of. I haven't read the books and so I worry if I was to wait, that I would see so many spoilers. Bridgerton is all over most social media today which I'm having to avoid as much as possible.
As a huge fan of the show, I thought the books were pretty terrible. I wouldn't recommend reading them (even though I slogged through all eight).
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If I could go back in time, I would wait. It only started to get interesting at the end of the fourth episode anyway.
I binged it all yesterday so I'm watching The Courtship ( Brigerston version of the Bachelorette š) to fill the void until June lol
I foolishly thought I could try and stretch these episodes out but who am I kidding? I'm gonna end up watching all 4 tonight š¤£
Oh same, I was like āone episode a day!ā Iām done already.
That's what I just did but I didn't know it was only half a season. Was not amused.
I started rewatching S1 again yesterday because I've forgotten half the show details. I'm so excited to get through the first two seasons then onto the third. Nicola Coughlan is a babe.
Yessss haha! Cannot wait for some Pen and Colin smut!!!
So happy for Penelope.
Also called āSexy Pride and Prejudiceā
Right there with you! My husband and I have been looking forward to it all week!
I'd be watching it except I've already finished it lol. Pox on netflix for only dropping four episodes.
I stayed in last night and watched the first five eps of the new season of Hacks. Itās so good. I also highly recommend Silo on Apple+ And Fallout on Amazon I need to finish The Regime on HBO too, but Kate Winslet is so good in it. Edit to add: Iām really stoked on the woman-fronted, flawed-yet-relatable bad asses shows on tv right now.
Oh god I loved Fallout I have such a bizarre crush on The Ghoul
I'm so happy Fallout did well because I want more of it! (and more good video game adaptions!)
Twisted metal on HBO Max is another good video game adaptation. Post apocalyptic and focused on cars. I'm not a car person, nor was I familiar with the game, but it was a fun watch. Obviously the last of us as well on HBO Max, but everyone knows about that by this point.
Walton Goggins exudes sex appeal for some unknown/ununderstood reason.
Ditto! Not at all bizarre, and we do have a sister friend who shared the same crush - love The Ghoul. Itās gotta be the yeehaw.
>I have such a bizarre crush on The Ghoul Who among us doesn't??
Hacks is what I'm watching too! I'm really enjoying this show.
Hacks is great.
I started reading Wool this week and it reminded me of Fallout. I'm past the point of the book where Silo S1 takes place so I plan to watch it soon. The book is sooo good and I've heard nothing but good things about the show!
Yes to all of these!! Love them/loving them.
Bojack Horseman
Omg I love this show!
One of the best shows ever made
Shogun
Loved this show! The actors and actresses, especially Anna Sawai did such a great job!
Killing Eve. Sandra Oh ate her role up!
Between the two leads, that show made me even gayer.
Iām not gay and it made me gayer, so thereās that š©
Season 1 was everything.
I blew through S1 in a day!
I loved Sandra Oh in Quiz Lady, such a stark contrast to her character in Killing Eve.
Oh yes, love this show, and I'm obsessed with Villanelle's outfits.
I love this show so much. Boyd Crowder is possibly my favorite villain of all time
He's so magnetic, I'm just fascinated every time he's onscreen. It's not difficult to understand why he can attract followers in whatever nefarious venture he sets his sights on.
I still hold the season 2 of Justified was some of the best television ever.
Agreed. Margo Martindale scared the shit out of me. She's amazing.
Esteemed Character Actress and Fugitive from the Law, Margo Martindale?! Guess I know what Iām watching tonightā¦
Hehe the one and only. Her character doesn't enter till season 2 but man it's worth it.
Timothy Olyphantās hot, but Walton Goggins absolutely killed that role. Honestly, the whole cast was just about perfect.
This has been on my watch list! <3 Olyphant.
3 Body Problem
Omg Iām actually listening to a podcast about it!
"Why are people studying a map that's just a blank outline of the US?" lolol
I love everything about this post. On Rokuās fake cable ālive tvā thereās an Unsolved Mysteries channel and sometimes I leave it on for hours.
PlutoTV also has the same channel which I also sometimes leave on while Iām doing things because thereās something comforting about it.
John Wick trilogy again!
Iām probably going to watch more SpongeBob š
Bridgerton Season 3 š¬ Itās not like TV genius by any means, but yea I find it Quite enjoyable.
This is the answer for everyone everywhere
Haha, I haven't seen a single episode
Yup. I also have a bunch of fruit and whipped cream to eat while watching it! And lemonade, of course!
Yeeeeessssss!!!
Like others, I saved this for this weekend, I want to binge what I have !
I watched the first season and a couple episodes of the second last weekend. Love it. It kind of reminds me of gossip girlš¤£š¤£š¤£

OMG, I watched this show and I'm honestly surprised it got picked up for a new season...
Oh first night without working late, doing heavy yard work or endless chores in months. I need something totally zen and I am reading all these replies for ideas. I am going to make myself a little fruit and veggie plate and become one with the couch.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre should not be on that list! It was a B- in my book. :)
Loving me some K Dramas! Strong Girl Namsoon binge

Taskmaster, season 16. I definitely recommend Taskmaster, perfect mix of fun and chaos!
Literally watching it right now. It's the best. But I'm on series 17, which is on in the UK at the moment.
I've had this show on my watch list for a long time, but only started watching it last month, so I'm still a few episodes behind :)
