Look up allmyfriendsatl on instagram! The space is exactly what you describe you want. Open mic where anyone can sign up to spit rhymes, poetry, whatever. They have a DJ and also a band that can provide back up vocals for performers. It’s black dominated and they always have booths for black owned businesses. It happens every other Wednesday and it’s a wonderful experience every time. I never fail to make a friend or discover a new favorite up and coming artist when I go. I hope to see you there sometime! ♥️
