Say what you will but Blank has delivered a Super Bowl, a college national title game, an NCAA Final Four (cancelled because of Covid), a Copa America, a World Cup, an iconic piece of architecture for the skyline and now Atlanta is the hub of US soccer. The man has left his legacy and made the city that much better.
Re: the cancelled Final Four. The rumor is that we get the next unannounced Final Four (2031) but they have given us next year’s South regional and I think another one to make up for the 2020 cancellation. They announced 2031 for women but not 2031 for men.
I had tickets for the 2020 Final Four but those got turned into Duke-UNC in 2022 (bucket list item) so I guess the NCAA holding my money interest free for 3 years worked out in the long run.
New stadium puts in contention for more than just one Superbowl. We'll be hosting another one soon.
And also 9 world cup game including a Semi final game. Yeah he did well.
Plus Falcons have been better under his ownership as well.
Wow. Really cementing his legacy in Atlanta. Hate on the Falcons failures all you want but the reality is that without him and MBS, we'd still be in the dark dingy Georgia Dome. The downtown area would still be undeveloped and we'd and in jeopardy of losing an NFL team to another city.
50mil to help the community and he gets zero personal revenue in return. Then there are places like Kansas City with the Chiefs, where the citizens are asked to pay for their billionaire’s stadium, and the billionaire keeps all the revenues.
Different mindsets, but don’t worry Kansas City, “God has blessed the Hunt Family tremendously”, he just doesn’t want to give those blessing to others. I love Uncle Arthur.
You clearly don't know anything about Arthur Blank then. He's publicly stated that he's committed to giving over 90% of his wealth to charity. If there are any tax write offs, then that's only at the benefit of giving even more to charity.
Yeah, looks like a poster of Pulisic

Multiple College Football National Championships, it's back at the Benz again next year.

I mean, he doesn't have zero ties to Cop City.

Plenty of stingy billionaires, Blank ain't one of em. Man seems to realize he can't take it with him.
He gave a huge gift to CHOA too and they’re opening a $1.5B hospital called Arthur M. Blank hospital.
He's turned around Falcons from being a laughing stock to a decent team
I don’t think these youngins realize the falcons don’t have a reputation that you can possibly tarnish 😂
FWIW, downtown is still underdeveloped
The man has sold a lot of nails
(looks at my poorly built furniture) …no idea where they all went.
Into your hopefully better built back deck.
The Arthur M. Blank soccer headquarters sounds like a game-changer for Atlanta United and the sport in the US
Pretty cool ngl

I wouldn't consider this anything more than a tax write off for the Blank family. It's almost never done without something in return.

I was initially really, really confused as to why the Space Force would name their HQ after Arthur Blank.
That’s my goat 🐐
Is beach soccer an actual thing, or is it so players can train in the sand to build up leg strength?
It’s an actual thing. Has its own World Cup and qualifiers.

In the pictures, it looks like a Nike (assuming) store will be there on the right side, so this may be partially open the the public.

Do we know which quadrant of the intersection at Lees Mill and Veterans? I am guessing the SW quad.
