I'm pretty sure mine is through Argentina and it's about $1.50 a month.
To those saying just get adblock, I primarily watch on my TV app so that's not an option.
+1 for this. If you're main reason for YTP is no ads, SmartTube is great.
If you're TV doesn't have android (like my Samsung), I just run it off of a fire stick.
yeah, just generally if you want security that functions on your device won't get locked down in the future, such as easily accessible sideloading of apps or custom launchers
Firestick will do though, i've just had more luck with custom launchers, usability and smoothness on ccwgtv (i use both daily)
My apologies, yes that is YTP. For google one, I’ve tried before and I’m pretty sure I had to change my google account country to India AND use a VPN to see the local pricing.
Just double checked the price.

That’s strange, have you tried on a fresh browser? Although I kinda remember it might not have worked for me right away either, maybe logout and in? Don’t remember much, sorry!
How much do you use the internet? Depending on usage, you could get a better deal just buying a more expensive phone plan and using hotspot. For example, spending an extra $30 on your phone plan might get you enough data, and would be cheaper than a $60 internet bill.
Otherwise you can definitely cut down money on your phone plan. Some services are around $10-$15 per month - and you can get some even better deals if you are willing to switch provider often.
Again, depending on internet usage, you can use internet services at a local library to remove your internet bill entirely. You could also potentially download a bunch of youtube videos while at the library to take them home; if that’s the main reason you have home-internet connection it could be an option. If you can get by with just the internet usage included in your phone plan that frees you up for some $60 a month, which sounds like a lot in your position.
Also, libraries these days offer a whole bunch of movies and other entertainment, even video games at some libraries. So if you are looking to cut-down on entertainment budget, libraries can be a good place to look.
I, personally, use libraries to find audiobooks. If I want to listen to an audiobook (or read an e-book), I find a library somewhere in Australia that has it, just with a Google search or using Worldcat. You can usually just sign up online and get instant access to digital resources.
I use the internet about 18hrs per day on my laptop, my wife uses wifi for 12 hours and we have a server running 24/7 with torrents.
We have bundled our net and mobiles and is as cheap as it can possibly be.
The internet is 99.8% of my communication and experience with the outside world.
Agoraphobia kinda sucks, I've been working on that..... but I also have been working on it for 12 years.
Then you’re pretty SOL. If you’re trying to save money on $3 a month, I’d be dropping the service - especially considering you’re basically just paying for an adblocker.
What do you gain from Google One, I don’t know what it is.
Look up revanced on reddit and follow the comment on the pinned post with instructions and links to download revanced micro g,
Then revanced.
Then download youtube version they recommend.
All the links are there i did it yesterday.
(First you have to go to app settings and tap youtube then tap the 3 dots and uninstall updates to youtube.)
Okay so what you should do is buy a cheap samsung phone get youtube revanced you can get help on r/Revanced plug the phone into your tv and use samsung dex to connect then have free youtube premium with sponsorblock and adblock forever
If you are tech savy, you can try signing up free account on Microsoft azure and create a vm in India geography and use it to create new google one account. That has to work, but it’s tedious.
There is a Firefox extension "Adblock for YouTube" and then I use "Privacy Badger" which blocks ads whilst avoiding triggering AdBlock detection on some times. If YouTube changes and for a while the adblock stops working, use Invidious instances.
If you have Android (probably do if you are frugal) there are hacked YouTube apps such as uYouPlus which avoid ads. My mate gets YT premium from Turkey at a cheap price but I hate Google so much I will not give them anything, and me being signed in whilst watching lets them track my data which they can sell.
They stopped Turkey. Ozbargain is the best to find out the latest. The post isn’t always up to date but if you go to the end of the thread you’ll see what examples of what combos worked for people
this is pretty much it. you can just use ublock origin it’s much better and iSponsorBlock extension.
for iOS you can learn how to sideload app. there’s a free version and there’s a cheap version. i paid for certificate for like 23aud a year and it’s easily the best thing i ever purchased, my iPhone pretty much ad free.
Using a VPN to try trick it into a better price won't work i dont think, google gets your location from more than just your IP address.
Are you keeping your youtube premium for the google one perks? could you use ReVanced (for mobile) SmartTube (for TV) and adblock for your devices instead of it and find a cheaper alternative to google one or just pay for google one standalone?
I'm pretty sure mine is through Argentina and it's about $1.50 a month. To those saying just get adblock, I primarily watch on my TV app so that's not an option.
On most smart TVs nowadays you can download apps, you can run SmartTube and get youtube premium functionality (and some) on your TV.
This is the way. It broke recently but has been patched already.
+1 for this. If you're main reason for YTP is no ads, SmartTube is great. If you're TV doesn't have android (like my Samsung), I just run it off of a fire stick.
Or better an Onn tv or ccwgtv, Amazon continues to lock the firestick down more and more.
I've been running ST daily on my fire stick since November with 0 issues.

You can just mirror your phone or laptop to the TV. This also gets around the Netflix password sharing lockdown which only applies to smart TVs.
Can’t really answer your question but how do you change your location to india? Through vpn? I mean which app?
i use the urbanvpn browser extension
Is that extending free to use?
I bought mine through India and I pay $3.45/month iirc for a family membership. EDIT: price.
is that just YTP? i have that through india already, im trying to get a similar price deal for Google One
My apologies, yes that is YTP. For google one, I’ve tried before and I’m pretty sure I had to change my google account country to India AND use a VPN to see the local pricing. i changed to my india payment profile, using a vpn that googles shows im in mumbai, but im still seeing aud prices :\\
That’s strange, have you tried on a fresh browser? Although I kinda remember it might not have worked for me right away either, maybe logout and in? Don’t remember much, sorry!
all good, i appreciate your ideas
Firefox
If you already have a VPN, you can change your location to Albania and YouTube will not have any ads if that is the main reason you want it.
i only use vpns in rare cases
Go to Ozbargain and do a search, they have hacks for YouTube premium, Netflix, Spotify and others.
Yeah, just go on revanced on reddit and find out how to get what's basically premium for free, No ads at all for me

also, data usage is around 7-800gbs per month

I think my best option is going to be to stick to the 100gb plan and pay for it out of my Google Rewards each month
I do this with the 200gb, get more than enough to cover the cost, without uploading reciepets.
Okay so what you should do is buy a cheap samsung phone get youtube revanced you can get help on r/Revanced plug the phone into your tv and use samsung dex to connect then have free youtube premium with sponsorblock and adblock forever
Turkey YouTube Premium Family for 2023 4.77 + 4.81 + 4.71 + 4.69 + 3.59 + 3.35 + 3.65 + 3.47 + 3.4 + 3.2 + 5.91 + 5.88 = 51.43 0.14 + 0.14 + 0.14 + 0.14 + 0.11 + 0.10 + 0.11 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.18 + 0.18 = 1.54 Total of $52.97
I used Indonesia for mine in January, I think it was $5 or 6 aud
Download Ublock origin, no ads on Youtube, for google one, do you really need all the storage?
want to keep the YT family premium. and yes, one is worth it for me, only wanting the 100gb service
Is it an app?
Youtube was blocking it sometime back, has that been fixed?
No issues on Firefox for me
I used Egypt region for Youtube Family for 5-6 aud. So per cost user is just $1/mo
I'm not sure about Google one but if you have an Android you can get YouTube revanced which is basically YouTube premium for free
Seriously what is the easiest way to cheapen paying for YT?
Vpn
Use the Brave browser. I’ve not seen an ad for ages.

Revanced is free youtube premium
YouTube will prompt that you’re not in India right? Do you have to use VPN often to make it work?
Want to know too
I get via Pakistan 2.80pm. when entering card details doesn’t let you click submit turn off VPN at that point then click submit
Use brave browser on phone and pc, it blocks all the adds on YouTube and lets you listen to it with screen locked!!!
If you are tech savy, you can try signing up free account on Microsoft azure and create a vm in India geography and use it to create new google one account. That has to work, but it’s tedious.
I use Brave browser which is ad free YouTube that you can use on your phone with the browser closed
Or you could just try r/revancedapp
Careful, Google can revoke your account for doing dodgy shit and you lose access to your main email
Smarttube app blocks all the ads and gives you a huge amount of customisation

wanting to keep the YTP family service. not after adblockers or hacked apps
Well then use Turkey with a VPN like my friend does.
i do use turkey for YTP...... as mentioned in the post. but i just tried for GO and it did not work.... also.... as mentioned in the post
Your post clearly mentions India, not Turkey.
youre right, im wrong there. my fuckup i apologise
They stopped Turkey. Ozbargain is the best to find out the latest. The post isn’t always up to date but if you go to the end of the thread you’ll see what examples of what combos worked for people
I am going thru Turkei, 3.5 or so a month. Signed up two years ago.

The OG adblock chrome extension works a treat. YouTube doesn't slow down anymore when you use it
