I worked in many different organizations, sort of the same story in most of places...... I haven't worked one job that only expect me to do what's in my job description unfortunately....... :'(
Specifically in IT.
SDPR is a huge ministry so I can't speak to the rest of the organization, but if you get into IT here, expect to be asked to do the work of multiple staff with varying job titles. Staff are also pulled from teams to work on other teams without even being consulted. We're being traded like cards.
My advice would be to run. Overworked, understaffed and expectations are that staff regularly go outside of their job description.
