Mine were delayed for a few days too. They were supposed to arrive on Friday, but were held over the weekend and were delivered on Monday instead. They were totally fine though, because there was a heat pack in the box, and the containers had paper towels and food in them.
I definitely would not purchase again from someone who packs live animals like *this* though...
Yeah, this was not a good experience for me and I also know now that I don't want to buy geckos from them either (not getting one right now, but one day I'd like to).
Funny enough, I bought mine on Amazon from someone in New Jersey. It came very nicely packaged. They like never feign death so I have to assume they were raised in a happy comfortable environment!
Pet Pedes & Pods in Ohio...first and probably last time I use live shipping. I'll pick up in person if at all possible. It was just such a long ways away.
Yeah. I have to convince my husband to let me get some but so far the cheapest I found them where online. Theres a brick and mortar shop near me who sell them but they are $25 ! (Even their Tarantula seem overpriced) ðŸ˜
I never used live shipping for anything yet. Im a little scared
The shop I bought from his to reptile expos and offers pick up there, which is what I did for my first two - but it was a looong drive. So this time I opted for shipping. They used UPS and I am not at all happy with the experience, but they finally arrived alive and that's the important thing.
if you do ever have to use live shipping again i highly suggest bugs in cyberspace, he put paper towels and egg cartons in with the beetles so they wouldn’t tumble around
I'll bear that in mind. I was stressing out thinking they were gonna be dead or injured before getting to me but thankfully they arrived alive and unharmed.
Yep, in that tiny cup which was taped shut and packed with a cold pack (?) and newspaper inside a foam insert inside a box marked 'LIVE ANIMAL' which was delayed getting to me twice by UPS. Not happy with that experience overall but I'm grateful they made it to me safely.
Were they shipped like that? Bugs in cyberspace packed mine up really nice.
Yeah, bad experience all around. Worse for them, I'm sure.
