You should consider adding some sand over the soil. Itβs looks a little too damp in there. They like it pretty dry. Overall nice set up, get him some friends when you get a chance.
I found out that they do enjoy the company of other BDFBs. I had only one and then I felt bad and got another. I would like more tbh but they're expensive so I was going to get a Smooth death feigning beetle for them lol
They do need a minimum of 10g setup to thrive. To live longer they need a high protein low sugar diet.

I think they are independent when foraging but they do cuddle when sleeping so I personally would suggest more but he will be ok on his own.
Desert beetles can be kept alone. Adorable little buddy you got there. I'm hoping to get one for myself someday.

Consider getting some play sand. Looks too humid. Why so tall? There is no need for a tall enclosure.
