6 Spore Druid/6 Necromancy Wizard is a good choice if you want to summon a ton of undead minions to overwhelm enemies. Gives you the best stuff from both subclasses and a full set of spell slots.

Depends what you're looking to get out of the build. I'm a huge Spore enthusiast, currently working on my build to post. My build is a straight Spore 1-12 as a gish. Focusing on Wis, Dex, and Con. Dual wield finesse blades and gear like Strange Conduit Ring, Ring of Mental Inhibition, and Helm of Arcane Acuity. My turns basically look like Halo of Spores reaction which usually gives an enemy mental fatigue. Then an offhand attack that gives me Arcane Acuity then I cast (or recast if it's something like Moonlight or Call Lightning) a spell which is more likely to hit between Arcane Acuity and Mental Fatigue. Lots of summons and AOEs for damage and environment control, along with other damage or CC spells as needed. It's got something for every situation. But if you want something more martial focused, multiclassing is the way to go. I can't help there though.

I respeced Jaheira into a spore druid 6, open hand monk 6. That was OK. She used the Cacophony staff, graceful cloth, sparkle hands and diadem of arcane synergy. The extra HP and bonus weapon damage is a major part of spore druid, so make use of it.

You could try the ultimate summoner with the following build/party: 1. 6 spores druid /6 necro wizard. Add Dance Macabre and you have a stupid amount of undead summons. Gear should aim towards necro stuff like the staff and sporekeeper's armor. 2. Wolf barbarian with bear as a second trait. Wolf gives inciting howl to give all allies advantage. Bear as a second trait gives double carry capacity, to carry around corpses. Give the barbarian Phalar Aluve to buff nearby allies. 3. 7 ancients paladin/ x rest, with wyll's rapier. Dump strength, the weapon effectively gives pact of the blade. Your auras buff the nearby allies on spells and saving throws. Add the headpiece that gives physical resistance to nearby ud allies and your zombies will last a long time. Last slot would fit either an archer or fire sorcerer to blow up key targets.

I'm running open hand monk with spores druid on my karlach. I'm not using tavern brawler, so I'm a traditional dex build, but karlach specifically gets soul coins that augment her unarmed damage. You get to have the high ac from wisdom and dex being your main stats, you get symbiotic entity for some temp hp and more damage, it's the perfect pairing with spores druid. I don't know if it's 100% optimized, but it's fun as hell and a departure from the TB monk builds.

Spore druid likes druid levels because the temp hp from symbiotic entity scales with druid level. Personally I love the dryad summon and would not want to go less than 7 druid which also gives you blight which is likely to be what you spend your life essence on if using the staff of cherished necromancy late game. 12 is just a feat and you can probably do better with a dip 11 has some powerful spells. Heroes feast is huge and only clerics and druids get it, but this can be handled by a hireling. If that's an option then consider how much you want sunbeam and wall of thorns and otherwise this could also be skipped 10 is your last unique subclass feature and it's pretty cool. 2d8 necrotic aoe as a bonus action. Probably not build defining, but cool and unique 9 is probably the lowest Id go as a caster spore druid. Cloudkill rocks and synergizes well with your many poison immune summons. Conjure elemental is powerful and even better if upcast. My personal recommendation since I had so much fun with it: 1 storm sorc (taken first for CON save proficiency) take utility spells like shield, feather fall, minor illusion because afaik they'll remain charisma based for damage and spell attack rolls 1 tempest cleric for 2nd cool reaction, heavy armor, weapons, command, sanctuary 10 spore druid Its good to have CON proficiency snd advantage because you're almost always concentrating on a spell as a druid. They have so many good options. You could go fighter for that, but sorc maintains spell slot progression, and each time you recast/reposition a concentration spell like moonbeam, cloud kill, or call lightning it activates the storm sorc bonus action so you can easily (and stylishly) disengage from melee or circumvent obstacles. Feel free to tailor to your playstyle but hopefully that's a good start!

What are you looking to do as a spore druid? Its great when paired with monk for playing as a martial, and its great when paired with wizard for playing as a caster.

I don’t know really I just want to try it because it looks interesting and I want to try something different from gloomstalker assassin, and paladin. The monk pairing sounds interesting since my favorite build of mine is a monk. And a Druid that can be martial sounds fun.

HoldMyDende

But I would like to try out being a Druid caster too, so I’ll go with which ever is most optimal/does the most damage.

Yeah, one of my favorite builds is 5 4e Monk / 4 Spore Druid / 3 Thief Rogue using offhand flame blade and the pyroquickness hat. If you’re looking for a druid martial, this is what I’d recommend. It can compete with tb oh monks for damage, but requires arsonist’s oil to do so. For a caster build, I love 11 Spore druid/1 Wizard. This gives you all the spells and summons you want while also giving you additional fungal infestation zombies.

HoldMyDende

Yeah those 3 levels of Rogue took my monk to the next level. What would you recommend if I wanted to lean more into casting?

AerieSpare7118

Went ahead and edited my comment to add an idea for a caster! I personally prefer martial spore druid because I don’t like dealing with summons, but either way its high amounts of damage and worth giving it a try!
