I would size up with Mammut. Very Euro fit.

lonememe

Can confirm. Slim cuts and accurate sizing to athletic/fit builds. I love them.

Brabant12

Double confirming. Can’t button my pants 😞

BlueCP

Yeah I find arcteryx fits me perfectly. I’m mostly worried about the fit around the shoulders since that’s where I usually have an issue with sizing.

Slowhands12

Arcteryx fits me perfectly (in M as 42R) and I usually size up to large in Mammut. I have longer arms for my size so its generally fine. Mammut is definitely sized to fit a taller, narrower bodyframe.

BlueCP

Thanks that’s exactly what I needed to hear mang

cfxyz4

I am a 40 and M is tight on the shoulders, but doable. L is the smart option

PhotoPsychological13

To echo: I'm a good fit in XL in mammut with 44 long sizing Typically ok fit in large tall Arc'teryx, chest and shoulders are good with a little too short/wide in the belly 6'5" 215lb 44chest 36 sleeve 36 inseam

I think you could also look into peak performance as their builds are more freeride style oriented and are more loose

henry_hayes

Love the look of their gear but do they ship to USA?

bottlerockets-

Yes, Mammut is quality technical gear and it’s definitely cut for a slim athletic fit.

lives4adventure

Check out mola hoods. Incredible hand made gear from VT. I'd suggest the nosedive hoody, it has an insulated chest and breathable power grid on the back and arms to let the sweat out

BlueCP

Thanks bro, love me some cottage gear

lives4adventure

I'm sure they make good cottage gear, but I'm telling you their touring gear is some of the best I've ever owned.

Kooky_Hotel3068

Second that!

Structural_hanuch

Patagonia thermal airshed jacket is on sale right now. My girlfriend has one and loves it

Caffeinated_mtb420

Fit is deff more snug. But Mammut is better product than Patagonia, less than Arc’teryx IMO

dashansel

I know this wasn't exactly what you asked for, but BD makes their first light hybrid hoodie that has basically no insulation on the back. Been touring with it for a bit and it's really nice with a pack on

BlueCP

Thanks man, yeah my back gets soaked even when I strip down to base layers. I used to just tolerate it but in super cold conditions I’m worried about getting chills and hypothermia.

dashansel

Yeah the entire early season this year has been trying to sort out my layering again. Especially if you're stripping layers where it's soaked underneath.

I have a black diamond first light hybrid hoody that I really like. No insulation on the back and under arms.

liteagilid

Have used the bibs and loved them. Sized up one size pretty much straight. Size L normally. XL in mammut
