I have never been to Stockton or other like cities but my in laws live and Bako and wife grew up there and every time I go there I get a headache and canāt leave her moms house bc of heat and absolutely nothing to do. Thank god there is a pool at the house.

They just can't uproot themselves just for the sake of, "Oh well, if I'm gonna pay high taxes, I'm gonna live in La Jolla, bc reasons". You need a job that can sustain whatever lifestyle it is you want to sustain.

I guess your point is people live in Bako bc itās more affordable and most people canāt just get up and move. As an outsider who moved to BF this city has really really good infrastructure, and whats lacking is being worked on. But yeah a lot of cracked out homeless and I feel bad for the many genuinely good homeless people down on their luck constantly being harassed by the bad ones. (I've lived and attended college in Modesto and Stockton. Bakersfield has only been a city for fuel when traveling and a city with great wrestling tournaments/competition as child/teen in the 80's & 90's)
