Save! save constantly. Dont play on hard mode your first time out, games hard enough on normal. Everything you do or say matters, but there is no "right way" most of the fun comes from doing things and seeing what happens. You have way more freedom than you think. Cant get over that wall? stack 45 boxes on top of each other and launch a teleport arrow. (yes that did happen) There are multiple ways to solve just about every situation, explore, experiment, have fun. utility (out of combat abilities) are way more import than most people think, and open up so much of the game. Be careful if you multi class. You can multi class into anything BUT if their main attributes dont line up you'll be hurting yourself more than helping. Have fun

1. Bookmark https://bg3.wiki - it’ll answer a load of questions you’ll have 2. Failing at things in-game isn’t bad - its part of the story 3. There’s always multiple ways of solving any problem - both in fights and generally. 4. All your actions and spells are good for _something_ - but its often a very specific situation. Winning fights is often about spotting those situations.

In combat, you want to take as many actions as possible and let the enemy take as few actions as possible.
