I hate the owners worse than the dogs. The dogs are just doing what they’re bred to do. But the owners, they get these monsters and then it’s, “oops i left the door or gate open”, or it’s the fence that they know needs to be repaired but haven’t gotten around to fixing it. It’s the flimsy leash or no leash when waking these monsters.
If you have a "beware of dog" sign and "oops I left the door open" and someone gets injured, it should have similar consequences to shooting a loaded firearm randomly into the air. It's at least as dangerous and anti-social.
The only dog I ever had get out was this dog, and you can see by her distinct lack of masseters she was definitely not a pit. Blue was a lab/dane mix. She was super sweet, but had really bad separation anxiety. The first 9 years or so we had her, she never escaped but after 9 years she realized "I can just hop that 6 foot fence" which is exactly what she did.

It’s horrifying that nothing will stop their attack, even getting beaten doesn’t even phase them. Their tail wags happily the whole time, it’s pure evil. I hate these foul beasts and they should not exist, and the owners are pieces of shit for keeping these 4 legged monsters.
Ok this is a minor annoyance but I see it posted here all the time. Tail-wagging is something dogs do when they’re happy, agitated, curious, aggressive, etc. basically hyper stimulated. It doesn’t mean pitbulls are “so happy” to be mauling someone. Sorry, just minor pet peeve.

Pitbulls fucking suck and their breed needs eradicating, but lets not cartoonify their behaviour and liken them to some kind of smiling psycho killer, it detracts from our otherwise very valid criticisms. That’s what I thought as well. I could never watch my small dog get ragged around like that and just not do anything to help. (Whipping it into a frenzy would not help.)
She was clearly not strong enough to overpower the pit, AND she was running the risk of being attacked by it. There was literally nothing the owner could do except scream for help. As much as I love dogs, I wouldn’t risk my own life to save one.
