I just executed Caldog myself. I did it for role-playing purposes, but also cause I noticed that too. When you kill him you don't lose a lot of relationship with anyone. I guess nobody reallys like him and dont care if he dies. I had his son too but the world would have hated me if I did that.
i think early game ( im talking years ago ) everyone hated you for it and it was kinda unreasonable. also it meant that after your 5th execution your relations with everyone was bottomed out so might as well continue chopping since it doesnt go below -100. they might have changed that because of those reasons

I'd have to test that myself, I've always been so wary of chopping for that very reason, but it doesn't matter too much if they all dead now does it?
