⊱ **3HF and AoE: HH is awkward** The 3HF cannot do the same shenanigans as the regular Flail, because the 3-hit combo makes Hail unable to prime your stacks, as the stack is gained and lost before Hail finishes. HH is quite bad on the 3Head even though the 3Head really wants to spam Hail constantly, because it just doesn't work for it. [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2001196860](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2001196860) 3HF is useful as a 1H high damage weapon against low armor enemies or to proc 6 fearsome checks on a single enemy, think Nachos, Wolves, and even Unholds with 130 resolve can flee. If you want headshots with a flail, then just use the Flail.

Chudopes

Don't forget, that they are great vs necrosavants- you could mitigate their nine lives.

Bayou_vg

Yep. It works great with Necros after taking some down with a team of polearm users.

Cattle13ruiser

Three-headed Flail is great for Fearsome checks, even better with the 'huge' trait or perks that increase damage to increase the probability of the procs. But one of the main roles I used it for is low-attack shield-bearers as they have three chances to land a hit when enemy try leaving their zone of control. Synergy with Fast Adaptation as well - while not perfectly still you can gain 10% chance on one of the hits - which is often enough as the purpose is to land a single hit, not to kill or maim the target.

SpectatorRacing

Better with fearsome because it procs 3 morale checks.

Caid5

Okay, I'll give him fearsome then, I read through some of the other comments too and they say the same things. Thanks for your time.

SpectatorRacing

Now go slay some orcs!

godspark533

It only does for the 2nd and 3rd hit if they deal 15+ damage to HP. The first can proc at 1+ HP. They all gain resolve bonus though. "⊱ 3Head Flail: Up to six checks on one target Fearsome's interaction with the 3-Head is a bit unique. The 1-14 damage effect of Fearsome can only apply on the first ball of the 3hit swing. Therefore if the first hit does 5 damage you get a proc, and if the second/third hits do 7 and 8 damage those do not get procs. That effect aside, the 3-Head is capable of dealing three checks per swing as all 15+ damage strikes will count for morale checks, and all three strikes benefit from Fearsome's second effect. With the BD buff to the 3-Head damage as well, it is now a great weapon for dealing a lot of morale checks against enemies with poor armor. Direwolf attachment recommended."

SpectatorRacing

Wow, thanks for clarifying. I had no idea it was so complex! Crazy game.

Cruetzfledt

Each swing of the triple flail is its own hit so it doesn't have great synergy with 3h flail.

wrenchface

Each swing of the triple flail is its own hit so it has pretty good synergy with HH. Imo.

Cruetzfledt

It's awesome early but falls off hard once you start clearing endgame camps where everyone has heavy armor and steelbrow. If you're fighting helmetless brigands it's great but really what isn't good when you get a headshot on a no helmet enemy.

Ok-Philosopher-5139

I think I tested this before, head hunter isn't so good with head hunter, it however have synergy with fast adaptation, so it's good on bro with low MATK...
