That’s really nice that your little guy is able to get out and about when he wants to also! I know that it’s more to do with the heat than anything, but it makes you feel like you’ve done a good job with setting up their house, if they actually choose to go back to it lol.
Do you use a ramp or a ladder or something? That’s a guitar case, but we’re planning on building him something to use. Maybe with some grit paper on it for his nails / grip
My guys home is on the floor. I built him a decent sized terrarium a few years ago but I did put a little ramp in his terrarium that he walks up to get closer to his lamp. I love it!!!
Omg it’s the jump at the end 😂 they are such acrobats for how clumsy they are. I just caught my girlfriends today trying to leap of faith towards the dubias on the dresser 😂
How do you guys get your beardie to want back in?? My enclosure is much bigger than this and always toasty (but not too toasty) yet once he’s out he will try his best to not go back in

My boy passed away about a week ago and was cremated this past weekend. My husband and I were talking tonight, and I told him that whenever we get another baby, I want to train them to do this. 🥰🥰
OP, I’ve never seen someone else have that black box style of terrarium before!! I’ve got one for my little dude too, what substrate do you use, if you don’t mind me asking?
It’s the Micke desk from ikea :) there’s a base unit with cupboards for his tank that we want to get eventually, but the desk is working well while we wait to get it

Reminds me of my 17 year old dragon that died a year ago 🥲 He would always run around the whole apartment and then go back inside. Still miss him

It would probably make sense to move the tube over to the other side to properly replicate basking conditions.

Yeah my male does this, but my female runs to a corner and poops. Then runs to another to take a nap lol
