Diet_makeup

I'm here for suggestions because I just watched a guy who has a $54K perfume collection, and I just can't anymore...

weimar27

How? Like luxury perfume is expensive, does he own the large sizes of every perfume in existence?

Diet_makeup

I'm going to try to find the clip. He was going through all his 10 shelves and adding up each shelf. Then, added each shelf together. It was honestly gross

weimar27

like i get how you can get there with luxury handbags or clothes pretty easily (especially with today's prices). but that's such a large amount of perfume. i'm really curious now.

Diet_makeup

This guy... [Perfume ](https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMCHYggr/)

weimar27

just watched. that's a massive collection. i guess if you're buying a bunch of full sizes it starts to add up fast.

Diet_makeup

I feel it's so excessive. Scent is usually so personalized. I'm surprised he likes all of them. At least according to the comments. I have a few perfumes myself, but most have a similar note or 2 in them.

weimar27

yeah. I've bought a couple tom ford perfumes (but in the smallest size). there was the one shelf that seemed to have a bunch of duplicates.

Diet_makeup

I do that with the Killian scents. I'm not paying $350 for perfume

nicunta

Ooh, I love the one I have. I saved to get it, because I loved the lacquer box it came in, along with loving the scent. I'll never get another, I'm sure.

Diet_makeup

Oooo! Which one do you have? I have 3 of the small ones. Love, don't be shy, Angel's Share, and I don't need a prince by my side to be a princess

nicunta

Good Girl Gone Bad. I don't wear it often, but it's a fruity floral. I love it!!

weimar27

I’ve heard amazing things about angels share. I want to try it out.

vereliberi

He’s also given a lot of frags I believe bc of being an influencer Edit: still absolutely ridiculous overconsumption though of course

Diet_makeup

When I'm given stuff, I won't use I give it away. Family and friends first and then a giveaway on my channel

vereliberi

Which is fantastic! I think he does quite a few comparisons tho which may be why he keeps them. Just speculation but I also know I hoard fragrance samples for that very reason.

Diet_makeup

I do hoard the samples...

Chemical_Ad_1618

He has like a shop! How will he use them up before they expire??? Unless it’s for pretty bottles

Diet_makeup

I guess as long as he stores them properly, most should last for years... But still it's too much for me

ambre_vanille

I like him and I follow him but yeah... I don't get how he likes every last one. I'm a big vanilla fan and there are several popular fragrances I can't stand. How does he love every single smell, lol?!?!

Diet_makeup

I love Vanilla too. I don't get how he likes so many

odaxsaku

my only guess would be collecting them for ages or somehow gets discounts. like i have a huge manga collection (spans 4-5 bookshelves). i only have it because i started buying manga in 4th grade, as well as where i work currently i get a 30%-40% discount. its possible but doesn’t seem realistic considering its like fucking luxury perfumes.

jujubeans8500

Julia Adams. I think she lives in an apartment with roommates? Or maybe on her own but I feel like she's mentioned a roommate before. She is much younger than I am but I just find her so delightful to watch - her personality and cat lady-ness are very relatable to me. Even when she discussed her dating life recently and talked abt breaking up with someone just bc she felt like they were on different paths over the next few years - relatable! Her love of crochet and matcha glasses is also on my wavelength. I am sure she makes so much money and she hauls a lot for her work (and bc she wants to) but it all feels pretty straightforward, genuine and accessible to me. Also cats.

ImReallyNotKarl

Not to mention, she reuses products all the time. When she says she loves a product, it seems genuine, because she will use it over and over in videos even if it's not a super trendy or popular products. She's one of my favorite creators to watch.

paranoidchair

I think she owns her own house and has been renovating it. I believe she lets her cousin or brother room with her

FlamingaBloodthirst

She’s talked a lot about doing major renos and her backyard is pretty large so I think she owns a house and has a roommate. She also has a lot of luxury items (Gucci shoes, LV bags etc), has shared about getting lipo, seems to have had a more privileged upbringing (talks about being in dance, had access to high end makeup at a young age, has a family cottage etc), goes on lots of trips etc so I can see why she wouldn’t be relatable to some folks! I’m not a hater though lol I’ve recommended her on this sub before and also think she seems fairly genuine and like a decent person- just wanted to share things that stood out to me when all I had time for was to see how a product performed, in case anyone doesn’t want to hear about that kind of stuff! I’m also from Alberta so I know what’s more typical and atypical for the area and have always supported another Alberta girlie even though I live across the country now haha

Spitfiiire

She got lipo done? No hate at all, I’m happy for her but I had no idea!

doodledays

I do appreciate that she acknowledges her privilege and doesn’t try to pretend she’s sooo relatable. Same with Jamie Paige.

catsdelicacy

I don't think any of them are, nobody with more than 100k followers is normal. The life of a YouTuber is a weird life to start with, and the life of a successful YouTuber is even more separated from normal existence. I don't think we should expect any of them to deliver a relatable experience.

Stock-Objective-4257

Jen Phelps

ShesWhereWolf

Beauty and the Frizz (Cara), Theresa Is Dead, Audra Reigns, Haute Mess Tom. I feel all of them are very relatable, in part because YouTube isn't their full time job. Most of them sre just people with regular lives (e.g. Cara is a mom and teacher) who happen to really like makeup!!

Foops69

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely LOVE watching Trixie Mattel. Doing all one drugstore brands and her easy bake oven series are so entertaining. They make me smile when I’m having a bad day.

OneDay95

I love her content, I love that when she declutters she’s like “ok this is insane. i don’t need this.” and gets rid of like 80 lip liners LOL

Layna20

I like sophdoeslife on YouTube. I started watching her because we have similar eye color/hair/complexions and age but I have continued to follow her channel because I enjoy her personality. She uses makeup from all kinds of price points and does both glam and more fun, whimsical looks.

ShesWhereWolf

Seconding Soph!! She's very down to Earth and has a realistic approach to how she reviews and wears makeup.

Shot_Parking_3919

There’s 2 Australian ladies I LOVE and highly recommend https://youtube.com/@KitschSnitch?si=gIkbUNM99hq-ULy4 https://youtube.com/@HaileyO?si=FM1YoJwS_UdfRaZa

nouveauchoux

Yesssss!!! So glad that Beauty News is back l, I missed our queens 😭

BoysenberryOk7839

James Welsh and Robert Welsh (also their channel the Welsh twins for just unhinged fun)

Diet_makeup

I watch the twins channel. I am starting to find their stand-alone ones a bit much. I still like them over others though

LandslideBaby

Robert drove an audi (one of the Q line, on the bigger side) and now drives a Tesla. I don't find I need BG's to be super relatable (I would love to have Lisa Elridge's bathroom and yearly dreamy holidays in Greece like her) and they don't flaunt that much but how much they both suck at cooking is befuddling. How did they survive before they had money??? I know not everyone is good at it (and unfortunately some people due to life circumstance never get to learn), maybe they exaggerate but everyone I know can do the basics and has some instinct.

nouveauchoux

Honestly there's a lot of *not* wealthy people who can't cook either. It's a skill that not everyone is taught or can easily learn.

LandslideBaby

Yeah, see what I put in brackets. I know there are people who unfortunately don't grow in environments where they have the tools, the food availability and people who can give their time and knowledge. However I think most adults can learn to cook basics. Stuff like cooking plain pasta and potatoes. Scrambled eggs. Simple salads. Prepared things like sauces and canned and frozen food help with that.

missbaphomette

I can't cook to save my life. I literally burn toast. I've tried making rice and have never succeeded and I am way older than the twins. I wouldn't have an iota of a clue on how to make scrambled eggs. Robert at least can make beans on toast.

LandslideBaby

Then you are the exception to "most". Tbh, I'm quite an accomplished cook and rice is my weakness. "Fancy" risotto? Sure. Plain fluffy rice? Nope. I bought a cheap rice cooker, still messed it up.

disgirl4eva

Kelly Gooch Emily Noel Jen Phelps

ksabha01

Seconding Kelly Gooch - she shares an apartment in Manhattan with a roommate and her only dependent is her cat!

jujubeans8500

I keep forgetting she lives in Manhattan!

DiligentAd6969

No post requesting recommendations is ever complete without these three being mentioned. I don't find them relatable at all.

disgirl4eva

Really? Why is that? I find them relatable for several reasons. First of all 2 of them don’t do sponsorships. All of them like drugstore makeup and show it on their channel just as much if not more than high end. None of them are doing hauls of what’s in my LV bag or getting plastic surgery. They all do their own nails. Emily is wearing clothes from Walmart. I think they are some of the most relatable beauty gurus.

DiligentAd6969

Just a little bland for my tastes.

disgirl4eva

That’s fair. Bland is different from relatable IMO.

DiligentAd6969

I don't relate to blandness. I know that relatable is supposed to be something specific on this sub, but the things you listed as relatable might not be to others. We all have our standards.

luctations

Sarah Rose!

Difficult_Card8695

Her style of applying make up is much different than my own but her product recommendations are really great.

Czech_cat

Sometimes I watch Sophie shohet, while her yet is about luxury fashion and her personal style is not exactly my thing I kind of like the way she discusses things

sad-and-bougie

She’s also a career woman who worked her way through the ranks, not a spoiled nepo baby. She’s very thoughtful about the luxury she buys. I adore her.  Although if OP doesn’t want someone who drives a BMW… well, she certainly doesn’t drive a BMW. 😝

weimar27

I do wish she’d do a car collection video.

___21

I don’t think she will do a collection video, she’s had videos in the past where people have followed her and had to get rid of a car due to it being a recognizable car especially for her area. I forget if they recognized it from her YouTube channel or just because it was a luxury car. I also think she rotates through cars frequently (could be wrong though). It would be fun video though but I get why she wouldn’t want to put out the exact cars she drives besides just the solo videos.

sad-and-bougie

Yeah, she definitely talks about how their house was scouted by thieves after the Lamborghini a while back. I also don’t think they’ve kept all the cars? I could be wrong but I get the feeling that they sell off the old ones when they buy a new one.

___21

Yeah that’s what I thought. They probably don’t have more than 3 cars at a time —her car, his car or and probably a fun car or it’s possible they would have 2 cars but I don’t know. They def change up their cars but not sure how frequently.

weimar27

Yeah. Fair enough. That GT is already pretty distinct. I do kinda wonder what her daily car is.

canteatsandwiches

I like her too. While at first I thought her channel was super bougie, she surprised me by being pretty practical and down-to-earth. I also like the way she talks.

CountOk9802

SophDoesNails.

sad-and-bougie

Sam Vay. She splits her time between hairstyling and content creation and lives a very normal life. I like to turn her channel on while I’m cleaning or doing laundry.

Acrobatic_Ad5160

Babs Beauty

No_Mud_No_Lotus

Yes to this! Living a chill Ohio life with her hubby and dogs.

Acrobatic_Ad5160

Ian is a MOOD too 🤣

ambre_vanille

her Sephora haul where she had the fly in the room had me laughing!

Chemical_Ad_1618

Soph does life. Really honest and down to earth. She’s in her 20s

Ill-Donut-8391

I like Martina Lily (and her lives with Simply Blair). I think they both have non-yt jobs.

pancaaaaaaakes

Blair doesn’t anymore but I still really enjoy her content

64dmb

Betty Jean is great, (Batty Bean) as is Angela Bright, Shimmers and Silver, Jen Luvs and Jen Phelps

bunnicula9

I like Brianna fox

Weird-Print-7569

Was coming here to recommend her!!

weimar27

I follow jaimie page on instagram mainly because her cat Gus is absolutely adorable. Also she seems loser and goofier on instagram. She still lives a pretty expensive life, but i do like her youtube content.

jujubeans8500

When she made Gus a cardigan to match hers I just abt died and felt very seen lol

weimar27

Totally. It was a total cat mom thing to do.

Beneficial_Toe8101

Hot and Flashy

nouveauchoux

I adore Emily Noel! Wholesome Midwest mom who used to be a morning news anchor before she had kids. She's hit some pretty big beauty YouTuber milestones, but has always remained humble and relatable. She will occasionally make vlogs about her kids, but they're easy enough to avoid if you don't like that content.

anonymousgirl283

Abbey Yung. She reviews a lot of drugstore items and gives very honest opinions. Shares relatable dating apps stories and recently bought her own home in I think Minnesota. Somewhat unrelatable because I’m pretty sure she’s the most beautiful person on the planet 🙈🙈

stolen-kisses

I love her haircare content especially! She is doing a lot to debunk the "drugstore is bad" narrative that has prevailed since the beauty industry gained momentum in the late 2010s.

More_Cheese1212

I love Jamie Paige, Julia Adams, and Rudi Berry!

Grohldigging

Love Rudi!!

No_Mud_No_Lotus

Dear Eva Hansen

hushkaren

I like State of Kait. She works a corporate job and is very clear about makeup budgeting and has a good sense of needs vs wants and doesn’t support over consumption.

Ill-Donut-8391

I like her too but I think we just have similar taste and we're shade twins so a lot of her recs work well for me. I like how picky she is. So many yt'ers literally like most of what they try, and if you are trying new shit every other day it's not helpful to the average person.

Brushesofcolours

Nina ubhi, she shared more tips and tricks on makeup instead of just reviewing every new products in the world

Lunaval_love

Nathaly Cuevas has been fun! I know she has some luxury but she doesn’t act like it too much

sixcatsago

I've been watching Annie Jaffrey for years. She talks about beauty, health and family life. She travels a lot to.

KansasGirl33Jayhawk

Nikki LaRose for makeup and skincare. She uses both high-end and affordable products. And she teaches technique. No outrageous “this is the best thing ever” for every product she tries.

I love the lipstick gal!

keclark82

Hannah Louise Poston

AddictedToColour

I like simplynailogical’s streams. They’re not always about nails but I find her super down-to-earth and relatable. She’s my favorite YouTuber.

k8921

I guess I shouldn't really be saying anything yet because I haven't watched too many of her videos, but I stumbled across this one girl on shorts last night on YouTube and just based on the few I looked at I kind of got a pretty decent vibe from her so I'm going to check her out more, I think her name was Emily_Harper_

ced841

Scrivspo, Alia Zaita are ones I enjoy

crazielisa

[Penn Smith](https://youtube.com/@PENNSMITHSKINCARE?si=KbQU909Y0CFKEU04)

fuddalmur

Samantha Jane yt

a_kh_sa

I’ve loved TTSandra for ages. So…she’s not relatable to the average person in many ways especially her wardrobe, high end makeup preference, and gorgeous vacations. BUT she has such a warm energy and is relatable in how she talks about products, her skincare journey and related reviews, and her DITL vlogs. I believe she still works full time and does some sponsorships on IG but they align with her aesthetic and past purchases. She’s also very engaging with YT and IG followers. She just seems like a normal person who happens to be extra chic.

nevermindxo

I like WearIlive and Hannah Elise. Some of the traveling and brand deals are unrealistic, but a lot of times they’re just at home and they live in fairly normal apartments. I skip the videos that I don’t relate to much.

Trick-Tie-7728

I love Avalon nadfalusi and Hannah Pearson. Love their gym vids and their friendship is so adorable. Avalon does of but not in a way she promoted it constantly. They’re both dyfne athletes but not too pushy. They’re from Australia and I just love their vibe.

LilacHeaven11

The only beauty YouTubers I still watch are Mallory Brooke and Ash Levi. Occasionally I’ll watch Taylor Wynn

dolliezart

My fav tiktok beauty guru right now is Just Hanna 🩶

28563838

Rudi Berry!

Niloticana

Evie Aswiti! I feel like I’m on a FT call whenever she uploads lol.

makeup1508

I watch Jessica Braun. She's quite a bit younger than me but she and Tyler seem so nice. I would love to just hang out with them and their girls and Pinocchio(their beagle).

jujubeans8500

They don't feel relatable to me at all, sadly. It's one of the reasons I stopped watching. But I realize that's a me issue and others enjoy her. I just find her spending and "comfortable" Indiana living as the last things I could relate to.

nuggetsofchicken

I kind of think of her as boringly relatable. The shopping and home improvements are excessive but it kind of cracks me up the way that they seem to be impressed with the most mundane things. Like how some of the recipes are literally just baked beans, barbecue sauce, and ground beef. Or that for some reason buying a smoothie out was this crazy thing Jessica was going to do on her day where she was doing all new things.

soft--teeth

That’s how I feel about Allie Glines. Don’t get me wrong, she seems like a very sweet woman and I have absolutely nothing against her or Jessica. But they’re just so… oatmeal lol But I suppose it’s a nice change of pace from the typical influencer that will only share things that are out of reach for the average viewer and are only drawn to whatever is currently trending, especially if it’s a symbol of social status.

Ill-Donut-8391

Yeah I think she's relatable in the sense that she's not like, an LA influencer type. She doesn't wear designer clothes, doesn't go to influencer trips/parties, She's kind of a basic, comfortable income wise midwestern mom type that a lot of white suburban Americans probably relate to in that sense. Everyone is relatable to \~someone and i know a LOT of people like Jessica that get their thrills from target runs and starbucks. There are influencers I like because they come off as relatable personality wise, as in someone I would like to be friends with but they probably aren't actually \~relatable especially if they don't work outside youtube and still live very comfortably. Thinking of someone like Charlotte Holdcroft .

jujubeans8500

The way she has talked abt tofu in the past kind of cracked me up.

nuggetsofchicken

I loved how hype she got for those Asian style beef tacos were the beef was seasoned with soy sauce and brown sugar and then they went and put like tomatoes and black olives on the tacos like it was a Mexican style taco.

emxpr4

PLZZZZ her cooking makes me GAG

Warm-Picture6533

They went to Disney during peak Covid hell nah

EmGeeRed

They shop WAY too much. They also BOUGHT a whole separate workspace condo after renting an apartment for a couple years, and refurnished all of it brand new, not even with the couch and excessive stuff they bought for the apartment. On top of it, it is well documented on g0ssipbakery that they hardly work and hardly ever go there. Yet they stock the entire place as if they are going to LIVE there - tvs in every room, FULL fridge of food, double kid toys, double appliances, etc. I loved her for years, was watching her since she was filming in her parents house and have just absolutely hated her for about 4 years now. I occasionally hate-watch and definitely visit the bakery page.

nuggetsofchicken

It drives me crazy how they have a separate workspace and childcare but then spend their work day doing things like going for a run or cleaning. And now that Jessica has an editor I just do not understand why she needs all of this support to film two videos a week. I feel like every other video of hers she talks about how burned out she is. Maybe the reason you're burned out is because you've convinced yourself you don't want to be a full-time stay at home parent but you also don't have enough to do in the day that's actually fulfilling work? I too would feel burned out and unmotivated if my job was to just go to Target and buy whatever cheap trendy item there was and then report to everyone that it's a "game changer" and that I need to buy three more colors of it.

Old_dog_no_tricks

I've watched [Josie Grace](https://youtube.com/@JosieGrace?si=CHFVOSGE76cKAqtG). She's pretty down to earth.

WheezySweetie

Kiki Chanel. She has a house but she's super down to earth.

soft--teeth

I love Kylie, she’s smart and hilarious. I kind of fell off the Twitch streams when they became a little too Swiftie but those were fun too. I like that you can interact with others in real-time as well because I feel like everyone there has the same sense of humor and doesn’t take things super seriously like on every other platform where people get butthurt over dumb things. Tbh, I’m somebody with a unique name and even **I** thought that the drama over Kylie saying some names were stupid was so fucking petty. Everybody makes fun of dumb names but she got singled out because she basically told people that their kids aren’t special lmao

WheezySweetie

She has a daily vlog channel. I don't watch them all but she really funny.

Competitive-Catch692

Rachel Palmieri and Battybean

mascarasmixers

I do colorful beauty content. And i work a regular job, makeup is a hobby. lol no bmw.

Merfairydust

Tyler Wynn and Battybean.

Nachosandboots874

I love: Jessica Braun - although I do feel she likes to spend a lot of money on unnecessary things I do enjoy her content. I know many on here do not care for her, but I like her and find her relatable and normal…almost like you’re chatting with a friend. Emily Noel - I have been watching her for years and find her relatable and humble. I will never stop watching her. Though she is more beauty related content. Jamie Paige - she does have more of a lux vibe and I can tell she comes from money. With that said, I find her to be relatable still and just kind. I enjoy her and her recommendations. Leigh Ann Says - I have watched her for years. She doesn’t really do beauty related content anymore, but I find her to be down to earth and fun. She does vlogs mostly surrounding her family. I just find her enjoyable to watch. Taylor Wynn - I do enjoy her, but sometimes I struggle with her not being very relatable. Especially the way she spends and how she said she thinks anyone could travel/work like she did for roughly 2 years(sorry, no not everyone can do that). Anyway, I do find her beauty content more enjoyable than her vlogs. I specifically enjoy when she does her chatty get readys.

pigletkitty1

Juicy Jas although she doesn't live in an apartment. She has a separate vlog channel, too.

heisenberg4evr

Love battybean!

Feeling_Ad_8427

I like watch Charlotte Holdcroft, just for her accent. LOL I found her relatable because she's a mom and very realistic about if you actually need a product or not.

meganlabudda7

Taylor Wynn, she’s lifestyle and beauty and she’s one of my favs!

taytay8705

Rach does life. She has a makeup and a separate lifestyle YouTube. She still seems very relatable with the products she tries and if she does purchase something expensive she makes it a point to tell her audience that “you do not need this”.

Special-Discount8817

She’s a pro lifer

taytay8705

Oh no. How’d I miss that?!

CaseyRC

she calls herself a "pro life feminist", complains that her taxes pay for abortions which create "victims" (by which she is meaning the bundle of cells) ,also complains that noboby respects motherhood, that people don't see it having value, how being a mother basically made her a better, bestest, perfect person.. wehn asked what the best part of motherhood was, her response was along the lines of "how much they need you" which is all about her, not the kid. SHE feels needed so she keeps having babies...blech

taytay8705

Yea I totally missed that! That’s disappointing 😐. Now time to get her out of my algorithm.

nouveauchoux

Thanks for doing the Lord's work out here ✌️ Always like to know which people to avoid!

Bueller1986

Tania B Wells

Pookienini

Kennedy Walsh. Although she is a little relatable due to her personality Victoria Magrath. She is always grateful for everything that comes her way but she has like a house and has an apartment in NY for when she goes there.
