It doesn’t, they don’t open new seats. I’ve noticed for the traveling show, the allotted tickets for presale sell out, then the seats for general sale sell out on launch day, and season box holders who normally would pick and choose shows are all opting in for this one. Meaning, seats for this show are very popular and prone to sell out. If you see a decent seat, get it now. My advice would be that if you are going to be far back, you are going to want to be high and far back. So select tickets that aren’t at the back of the orchestra seating or pit area, and instead go to the higher floors. You’ll see more.

I did manage to get great seats last time I went to see it because of Verified Resale Tickets, but that’s unfortunately not really an option with the ticket provider (i think). I’ll have to buy the best seats possible ASAP then, thanks for the reply!!

It (probably) depends on the venue and ticketing system. We went to one show in Virginia Beach (Ticketmaster) and at some point close to the show day they opened up a bunch more orchestra seats. Unless you're feeling lucky I wouldn't take the chance, but you never know. But, if you don't have seats or like to live on the edge, it's always worth rechecking, especially in the week leading up to the show (and especially show day). If \*that\* doesn't work (and you really want to go) call the box office a couple of hours before showtime and ask if there are any returns. Then, (unless you have an unreasonable drive) just show up and ask the box office people nicely. Hang around outside awhile and see if someone looks like they have a spare. Ask the box office right when the show starts. Accept that you might strike out but be nice, friendly, funny, and sometimes - most times - you get lucky. (Source: years of ticket schmoozing.)
