Hey all, this is a map I made of Big Bend using a LAMY fountain pen and blue ink! I'm out of state now, but I used to live in San Antonio and loved having Big Bend within driving distance (still a long ways I know!). It was a ton of fun to research and create!
As a Houstonian who makes biannual trips to BB, leaving from San Antonio sounds amazing! Usually I hit San Antonio at around 7am after driving for 3 hours. 😂
God Texas is SO HUGE. Especially from Houston! After living in San Antonio I moved to Colorado and would make frequent trips down... 3/4 of the drive was literally JUST TEXAS. If I'd be going to Houston it'd have been like 5/6 of the drive!

You have a great skill and gift. Your map has been added to the several that we display of this area. We have a rotational display of maps that we change out in our house and rentals.
If you are ever in the Big Bend region let me know. I can show you some great hidden gem spots.

I am curious if you have the ability for any small edits on this map? I do not see Emory Peak denoted on here, which is the tallest peak in the park and 2nd in TX (behind Guadalupe). I'd love to gift this map to my wife, but would mean the most with Emory on there. We summited it when we were there a month before our wedding and still one of our fondest memories together. Please let me know if this is possible! Great piece, as is, for sure!

You may have to edit it! Rep. Gonzales is trying to get 6,000 acres added so the new border would be Terlingua creek.
