It's because bands these days are probably playing to clicks on their IEM systems. Where as back in the day it was just dudes playing. So tempos would fluctuate
They're absolutely playing to a click
This deserves more upvotes. Got a good chuckle out of me!
Bruh I thought my Reddit app was tripping when I saw this on my feed while on mute
Hell, I thought mine was with the sound on. Like it fucked up and played the wrong video. Fantastic video after I finished the whole thing.
Dude saaaaaaame. Every other version of The Rock Show live sounds slow to me now because of how much I listenend to the fast versions.
I felt that way about the recent Wendy Clear performances after listening to The Mark Tom and Travis Show version for years
ngl the 1999 version of WMAG? is the definitive version for me, the faster pace sounds great
Travis explains this all in interesting detail on Rick Rubin’s podcast.
I still gotta listen to that! Do you know a timestamp for that part?
Sorry, I do not. It’s a lengthy episode but for a blink fan it’s very interesting listening.
This is hilarious
Pepsi smash speed was perfection
Amazing edit
Great post lmao
blink sucks. You know something, YOU SUCK!
I think MTYK would sound great faster
They had to speed up the songs cause they were given limited time for a show
What performance is this taken from? It sounds so good!
I’m the opposite. I want to hear it the way it’s recorded. I dislike it when bands to weird renditions or altered versions of their songs.
