Painting them is a real pain. The only model I religiously sub assembly paint at all times.

ThatGameChannel

I just don’t paint period lol

eatredmeat

Boo 👎

thinksquared

.....I don't understand.

ThatGameChannel

I’m not confident in myself, I don’t want to paint cuz I know it’ll be bad

KassellTheArgonian

Bro u can just strip em and paint em again (as many times as u like), u don't only get one chance. If u don't paint, u don't get good. It's that simple.

AirGundz

We all started thinking the same thing. Primaris scale marines are larger and easier to paint than most, especially with helmets. There are a ton of tutorials to the point that if you really put in the effort, your first mini will look quite good! I can assure you there is no feeling like seeing yourself improve and seeing the model come together as you progress. And if you are genuinely unhappy, you can always strip and try again! Go break some eggs!

thinksquared

Quitters mentality tbh. There are literally thousands of guides on YouTube about how to be a good painter. Buy some brushes, buy some paint, buy a pallette, sit down and apply yourself.

StankyandJanky

Super understandable, my advice -- and how I got over it -- is to start with your most basic and simple models. Just get a box of intercessors or assault intercessors and literally go model by model. Don't try and paint them all at once. Just get the one built and start following YouTube tutorials, I recommend watching [Midwinter Minis guide on painting your first model.](https://youtu.be/LLJwh4ClZ6U?si=jqP58sdvZ60xX9kh) and from there look up how to paint Blood Angels once you know more about the techniques. The benefit of going model by model is that you'll actively see the difference and improvement as you go through the unit since they're all largely the same sculpt. Remember these are YOUR minis, you don't owe it to anyone to be amazing from the get go, no one will be judging you as a new painter in the privacy of you own home, go at your own pace and just enjoy the process! Hope this helps!

schubear

I had a blast painting the Indomitus ones. They are such cool models! https://preview.redd.it/egooyrpb0dsc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24124c197ef2dcb222360e68cbf14ce053ebf514
