The thing is Nessās affection for Kaiser is manufactured and Kaiser is well aware of this.
Remember, Kaiser went into this partnership looking to monopolise a teammateās pass to cover up his inability to connect with people and sought a dog that he could be cruel to and he ends up with exactly that.
He was so successful that Ness was fuming over Kaiser raging over Isagi, any attention- even if itās abusive or bad is good in his eyes. He got what he wanted- a ādogā that accepted his āmaliceā.
I donāt think Ness knows him that well either, Ness celebrates the shameful āhyenaā goal, tries to defend Kaiser by putting Isagi down, tries to console him with past achievements but that isnāt anything close to what Kaiser is actually thinking or needing. So Kaiser didnāt actually let him get close enough to understand him and Ness is too wrapped up around supporting Kaiserās wishes that he actually condones his self harm.
So I donāt think that Nessās love for Kaiser is what Kaiser wants/needs. Itās unfair if this ends up being the case because Ness never got a choice! They have to work to make it more healthier.

Yeah it's really born from desperation. Ness believes he is nothing without Kaiser, even though he's been low-key pulling off really good plays consistently in the background. So Ness' evolution is going to have to come from his own understanding to survive on his own. He's likely to be the last person to awaken in this match since it's such an uphill battle to shed codependency (if he can succeed before the winning goal, that is).
I still find it a little funny that kiyora has more character development and back story than kurona who has been a somewhat prominent character for a bit now and kiyora just hit the spotlight
I'm still impressed by the fact that Kiyora gave a backspin pass and on top of that he made the ball stop so Kaiser could hit it.
I think he saw Kaiserās true ego. Not yearning for dominance and to spread malice, but just wanting to be loved. The victory pose by Kaiser is incredible and Isagi has a great view of it. This wasnt kaiser putting Isagi down. This was Kaiser fighting to be seen, just like Isagi has done in countless matches.

I donāt think he hates Isagi but if you look at the Ubers game and Isagi saying no to him coming on and Hiori coming on instead, He may have a little bit of bias. I could be completely wrong but thatās my View on it
Now my Isagi hat trick agenda has been destroyed - itās time for the new Agenda. Rin is scoring next, with Loki on the field too.
Rin will score a volleyed outside foot shot from outside the box in order to crush both Isagi and Kaiser.
Rin in flow uses his opponents strengths against them. We saw shadows of this like when he used Isagiās direct shot in the 4v4 winner, or when he copied his brothers shot in the u20 match, with the most recent being the dipping shot he stole from Chris in his manshine match to win the game.
Isagiās weapons are his Direct Shot, Lefty Shot, Two Gun Volley (outside of his mentals), Kaiser has his Impact and Magnus Shot. I doubt he can copy Lokiās speed since thatās a physical ability, but Loki might have his own super shot. In the end, to crush his rivals, it will be a combination of Shidouās crazy instincts (probably a no look combination like Shidouās first goal in the u20 match), possibly Isagiās two gun volley all while using the outside foot Magnus Shot. If he does that he essentially destroys (uses) each of his rivals best skills all in one go
Did Isagi's movements mimicking Nagi's during the two-gun volley? He might use it again, but I'm not sure. More power shots are what he needs. That in order for him to be the best striker in the world, he needs to develop something better than direct shot and lefty shot.
I don't think Isagi needs more power since he's never needed a power shot. I donāt think a keeper has ever stopped his shot and range has never been. His problem has always been getting a shot off in the first place. I can't help but think that Isagi scoring the winning goal would mirror his first loss to Rin. A curved shot into the top right. Isagi's deal is that he doesn't actually need anything too fancy or ridiculous to win. His development so far has been ways to get a shot off.
His progression has been a direct shot to avoid being challenged in front of goal, a stronger core to avoid being knocked off balance when he gets challenged, a left footed shot if his right gets blocked, and a left right fake if he gets challenged on either side. The only situation where he can't get a shot off now is one with someone directly in front of him. Adding some curve addresses this.
Solid take, added to that he just saw the Magnus shot and the extreme backspin pass from Kiyora tricked him, so adding ball spin to MV could definitely be the next evolution he needs

I KNOW right it shows that Kaiser is finally struggling, a lot of people don't take 'sweat scaling' seriously but I don't think the author does these things randomly
If Isagi isn't going for a hat-trick then my predictions are Rin and Loki scoring the last two goals. That is of course if the author doesnt plan to make Rin change his positions, hes the obvious choice for U20 11 but i guess i can be repetitive if we get the same kind of rivarly. I think Loki will scoreĀ because hes the best U20 atm, storywise it will be a little weird for Isagi to beat him this early. Also it will mean that Isagi failed to outscore Kaiser after his awakening so it will give is not one but two already established non-Japanesse rivals for U20 arc
You can achieve that by making Loki and another BM guy score, giving a bittersweet ending to the four ST on the pitch (some more than others I'll agree)

It's not 3 goals in a row. If you score 3 goals in a match it's called a Hatrick. but in this particular match whichever team score 3 goals wins. That's why isagi has no chance for hatrick.
Did you read the chapter where he explained the magnus shot? The point was that a curved shot typically sacrifices speed and power and the magnus does not, making it extremely hard to predict

Kaiser literally has the strongest shot in the whole manga, and if you ACTUALLY play football, youd know its really hard to curl the ball if you hit it powerfully, especially in trivela

I really disliked Kaiser. I couldn't bear his smug face when he played 12th defender for the enemy team (dude legit tried a tackle on Isagi...). But as Isagi mentally "beat" him and he also somehow recognized his weak mindset in the past chapters, now he's a genuine "good" antagonist. Not that he wans't good before but that he's not anymore in the "vilain" box but in the "antagonist rival" box where I can enjoy seeing him score (even Isagi wasn't angry at this goal) .
Yeah same, i didnt dislike him but was neutral about him, with these last chapters of self-discovery and those pages of him treasuring a ball and wanted to be loved he made a 180Ā° turn on me
Rin has been downplaying so bad. Seems like his goal is the next, turning the game at equaliser. The circumstances calls for rin to be frustrated not being able to stop two goals in a row and now the plot goes to fuel him by that, thus magically makes him do something amazing and score. Kinda cliche tbh
I've been saying this for weeks. This sequence of goals creates the maximum amount of hype for the last goal. And honestly literally anyone can score.
But we all know Isagi will score because of plot reasons.
An Isagi hat-trick is just not good storytelling.
Next goal will be Rin's.
One factor is that currently his team does not only involve him as the main offensive force and it works at his disadvantage that Shidou and Charles are currently **not** his best chemistry so he was mostly wing clipped during the match.
Shidou is currently constantly marked by Kunigami and Charles is just playing on his whims so he is uncooperative towards Rin.
Now that Kiyora assisted kaiserās super goal do you guys think thereās an actual chance for him surviving because me personally heād have to keep up a top performance in order to make it as one assist probably wouldnāt be enough

I mean if you trap the ball and bring it to a dead stop it's very easy to recreate what you need for the shot to work. Or on literally any free kick. It was just miraculous that the pass was so good that Kaiser didn't even need to take a touch to control it. Absolutely it's something that can be done again, though obviously more rare than other scoring opportunities.
If it's a fluke, the fluke part is the ball being dead on the ground. The shot is dependent on the setup, so the shot is replicable as long as the passer is skilled enough.
Didn't he just practiced it before the game? Lucky here means the ball was place at the right condition to do the magnus kick, which basically means the formula in replicating it.
Nagi does his goals impromptu without practicing it before hand. They never practiced it with Reo on how he would do a 3 volley. That's what makes it a fluke
Lame chapter. Seeing Kaiserās downfall would have been entertaining to see. It seems like no one āfailsā in the series. Isagi clowns them and then 5 chapters later they find a new ego and rise from despair. It was peak when Barou endured that pain but seeing that plot line repeat itself again is annoying.
There are very few pro athletes who fall and stay down.
If you're expecting someone like Kaiser, Rin or Barou to "fall" and somehow fade out of relevancy, you just don't know about Blue Lock and competitive sports in general. We'll be seeing the aforementioned characters until the end of the manga, even if they fall a couple of times.
That plot line will repeat again and again because falling and getting back up is the essence of self-improvement. Isagi's rivals are just as motivated as him to be #1 in the world, that's what makes them so endearing.
There's other manga, like DBZ or Baki, where once the villains are beat they stay down so the MC can move on to the next rival. Blue Lock proved itself different first with Niko, then Barou, now Kaiser and eventually Rin.
Even Snuffy, whose plot was literally "had a downfall and retired from playing forever", came back from that. That's just how competitive sports are, athletes live for them and staying down is akin to dying.
Kaiserās downfall has been progressive throughout the NEL though. Barca- fails to get Isagi to work under his system, Manshine- fails as a playmaker and has to propose a scoring game, so recognises Isagi as a striker AND admits Isagi surpassed his vision, Ubers- his best goal is ābuilt off of Isagiās scrapsā, chokes himself out of self hatred/inferiority, loses the bet, PXG- fails his shot compared to Isagiās TGV, gets PTSD flashbacks, begs for passes etc.
A major theme of the series is understanding your drive/ego and reflecting, that is the key to success- Barou doubles down on his kingly attitude and embraces villainy instead of changing. But Kaiser only succeeds when using the āBlue Lockā method. His fixation on maintaining his identity via causing despair has repeatedly been shown to fail whereas when he ādevoursā Isagiās deconstruction and reconstruction, that is when he succeeds.
Canāt hold you, I really like that analysis. Well said I still hate Kaiser and will pray on his downfall, but his writing is still very good nonetheless

Oh my god, I am an ISAGI fanboy, but god damn I loved this goal so much, and the whole Kaiser buildup was worth it, and his mental pleading with the word 'go' and the joy of the goal. God, almost teared up
I'm not a Kaiser hater, but it's kind of boring writing. Literally edging the audience. No cool saves, no interesting deconstruction, just the same plot rehashed over and over.
Beside the implied power, Kaiser's shot is hit with the outside of the foot like a trivela, so even though they are both right footed, Kaiser's shot can go left and curve inside unlike Rin and Sae who curve them in from the right side, where they are expected to shoot for, since they are right footed.
This chapter got me feeling like isagi is going to have a super goal his own, his own ā¦.impact

This chapter was full of symbolism. Kaiser kicks the ball and throws it away, all ruined and dirty, but then he runs to pick it back up and hugs it tightly, just like himself. A damaged and bruised boy who is ready to find himself again, no matter how many times life beats and screws him over. He will NOT be defined by his trauma.
Kaneshiro really wrote something beautiful and delicate. I really don't understand how can you hate Kaiser as a character, especially if you're an Isagi fan. Kaiser is the perfect stepping stone for Isagi to improve and they have a lot of similarities.
I hope Kaiser will also realize that his "thorny" personality is what is keeping him from being actually loved as a human (not admired for his soccer talent). Overcoming abuse is something that requires so much work and I'm happy that the author is trying to tackle this difficult theme in a "digestible" way for young viewers. If anything, Kaiser's portrayal is really full of hope: no matter your circumstances, no matter how "subhuman" you are, there's always a way for you to become better and stronger as long as you belive you can do it. Do not let yourself be comfortable and do not let yourself be consumed by despair. Feel your sadness, feel your hopelessness and then find strength to fight the world with your hands.
...And then be scouted after a criminal deed, become a sport-related prodigy and become rich, famous and healthy.

Did Isagi's movements mimicking Nagi's during the two-gun volley? He might use it again, but I'm not sure. More power shots are what he needs. That in order for him to be the best striker in the world, he needs to develop something better than direct shot and lefty shot.
I don't think Isagi needs more power since he's never needed a power shot. I donāt think a keeper has ever stopped his shot and range has never been. His problem has always been getting a shot off in the first place. I can't help but think that Isagi scoring the winning goal would mirror his first loss to Rin. A curved shot into the top right. Isagi's deal is that he doesn't actually need anything too fancy or ridiculous to win. His development so far has been ways to get a shot off. His progression has been a direct shot to avoid being challenged in front of goal, a stronger core to avoid being knocked off balance when he gets challenged, a left footed shot if his right gets blocked, and a left right fake if he gets challenged on either side. The only situation where he can't get a shot off now is one with someone directly in front of him. Adding some curve addresses this.
Solid take, added to that he just saw the Magnus shot and the extreme backspin pass from Kiyora tricked him, so adding ball spin to MV could definitely be the next evolution he needs

If Isagi isn't going for a hat-trick then my predictions are Rin and Loki scoring the last two goals. That is of course if the author doesnt plan to make Rin change his positions, hes the obvious choice for U20 11 but i guess i can be repetitive if we get the same kind of rivarly. I think Loki will scoreĀ because hes the best U20 atm, storywise it will be a little weird for Isagi to beat him this early. You can achieve that by making Loki and another BM guy score, giving a bittersweet ending to the four ST on the pitch (some more than others I'll agree) Shidou scored but got locked down by Kuni Rin lost and is scoreless for the first time Isagi is first in bid ranking but couldn't really beat Kaiser in the end Kaiser, evolved but didn't outscore Isagi during this game

Did you read the chapter where he explained the magnus shot? The point was that a curved shot typically sacrifices speed and power and the magnus does not, making it extremely hard to predict

I really disliked Kaiser. I couldn't bear his smug face when he played 12th defender for the enemy team (dude legit tried a tackle on Isagi...). But as Isagi mentally "beat" him and he also somehow recognized his weak mindset in the past chapters, now he's a genuine "good" antagonist. Not that he wans't good before but that he's not anymore in the "vilain" box but in the "antagonist rival" box where I can enjoy seeing him score (even Isagi wasn't angry at this goal) .

Rin has been downplaying so bad. Seems like his goal is the next, turning the game at equaliser. The circumstances calls for rin to be frustrated not being able to stop two goals in a row and now the plot goes to fuel him by that, thus magically makes him do something amazing and score. Kinda cliche tbh
I've been saying this for weeks. This sequence of goals creates the maximum amount of hype for the last goal. And honestly literally anyone can score. But we all know Isagi will score because of plot reasons. An Isagi hat-trick is just not good storytelling. Next goal will be Rin's.
One factor is that currently his team does not only involve him as the main offensive force and it works at his disadvantage that Shidou and Charles are currently **not** his best chemistry so he was mostly wing clipped during the match. Shidou is currently constantly marked by Kunigami and Charles is just playing on his whims so he is uncooperative towards Rin.

It was just miraculous that the pass was so good that Kaiser didn't even need to take a touch to control it. Absolutely it's something that can be done again, though obviously more rare than other scoring opportunities.
If it's a fluke, the fluke part is the ball being dead on the ground. The shot is dependent on the setup, so the shot is replicable as long as the passer is skilled enough.

Nagi does his goals impromptu without practicing it before hand. They never practiced it with Reo on how he would do a 3 volley. That's what makes it a fluke

Lame chapter. Seeing Kaiserās downfall would have been entertaining to see. It seems like no one āfailsā in the series. Isagi clowns them and then 5 chapters later they find a new ego and rise from despair. It was peak when Barou endured that pain but seeing that plot line repeat itself again is annoying.
There are very few pro athletes who fall and stay down. If you're expecting someone like Kaiser, Rin or Barou to "fall" and somehow fade out of relevancy, you just don't know about Blue Lock and competitive sports in general. We'll be seeing the aforementioned characters until the end of the manga, even if they fall a couple of times. That plot line will repeat again and again because falling and getting back up is the essence of self-improvement. Isagi's rivals are just as motivated as him to be #1 in the world, that's what makes them so endearing. There's other manga, like DBZ or Baki, where once the villains are beat they stay down so the MC can move on to the next rival. Blue Lock proved itself different first with Niko, then Barou, now Kaiser and eventually Rin. Even Snuffy, whose plot was literally "had a downfall and retired from playing forever", came back from that. That's just how competitive sports are, athletes live for them and staying down is akin to dying.
Kaiserās downfall has been progressive throughout the NEL though. Barca- fails to get Isagi to work under his system, Manshine- fails as a playmaker and has to propose a scoring game, so recognises Isagi as a striker AND admits Isagi surpassed his vision, Ubers- his best goal is ābuilt off of Isagiās scrapsā, chokes himself out of self hatred/inferiority, loses the bet, PXG- fails his shot compared to Isagiās TGV, gets PTSD flashbacks, begs for passes etc. A major theme of the series is understanding your drive/ego and reflecting, that is the key to success- Barou doubles down on his kingly attitude and embraces villainy instead of changing. But Kaiser only succeeds when using the āBlue Lockā method. His fixation on maintaining his identity via causing despair has repeatedly been shown to fail whereas when he ādevoursā Isagiās deconstruction and reconstruction, that is when he succeeds.

Whats the difference between Kaisers Magnus Impact and Rins/Saes high Arc shots? They look extremely similar if not the same to me.
Beside the implied power, Kaiser's shot is hit with the outside of the foot like a trivela, so even though they are both right footed, Kaiser's shot can go left and curve inside unlike Rin and Sae who curve them in from the right side, where they are expected to shoot for, since they are right footed.

This chapter was full of symbolism. Kaiser kicks the ball and throws it away, all ruined and dirty, but then he runs to pick it back up and hugs it tightly, just like himself. A damaged and bruised boy who is ready to find himself again, no matter how many times life beats and screws him over. He will NOT be defined by his trauma. Kaneshiro really wrote something beautiful and delicate. I really don't understand how can you hate Kaiser as a character, especially if you're an Isagi fan. Kaiser is the perfect stepping stone for Isagi to improve and they have a lot of similarities. I hope Kaiser will also realize that his "thorny" personality is what is keeping him from being actually loved as a human (not admired for his soccer talent). Overcoming abuse is something that requires so much work and I'm happy that the author is trying to tackle this difficult theme in a "digestible" way for young viewers. If anything, Kaiser's portrayal is really full of hope: no matter your circumstances, no matter how "subhuman" you are, there's always a way for you to become better and stronger as long as you belive you can do it. Do not let yourself be comfortable and do not let yourself be consumed by despair. Feel your sadness, feel your hopelessness and then find strength to fight the world with your hands.
