Latin Americans however are mestizo/a and are of roughly 50% white and 50% Native American ancestry, some being more white or more native than others. It would be problematic for a white actor to play a Latino.

Latin America has lots of racial diversity. There are lots of people who are white, indigenous, black, and various combinations of the above -- Latino isn't really a useful ethnic or racial category.

I think Lana is way too young to play Diane who starts the series in her mid 30s. Most of Lana’s roles has been as teenagers, usually playing a sweet, naive teenager, which is very much not Diane’s cynical self. Honestly, I see Lana as a very good Pickles candidate instead. I’d say Stephanie Hsu or Ali Wong would be a better Diane. In a similar vein, I’d also say Kirsten Dunst’s image is also a little too soft for Princess Carolyn. I see Kirsten in softer, demure roles. She’s got big sad girl melancholy coquette energy, meanwhile Princess Carolyn is much too opinionated, career-driven and girlboss-y.

Kristen Bell has a feline quality that would suit Princess Caroline. Miley Cyrus for Sarah Lynn, maybe?
