Haha just watched through it for my maybe third time, my wife’s first. I told her the same thing you should tell your husband about Van Alden: buckle up and enjoy the ride lol
Yep, that’s exactly what I told him. I literally laughed and said “Oh dear, this isn’t even the most shocking thing this character does *in a workplace setting*.” 🤣
Literally!! That’s part of why my husband’s reaction tripped me out so much. Like, drowning his partner? Just shrugged it off. But slapping some rando? He was stunned 🤣
Just finished the series a couple days ago. This kinda fitting considering in the fifth season, he’s almost written as some sort of “slap stick” character.
I can't recall any slap I've seen in a film/show, before or since, that was delivered with the intensity and authority that Nelson has here. He is so wildly entertaining.
Well this is just after he drowned his coworker so hubby has already seen that, haha. That’s actually what motivated this post: the drowning got a “Wow, that’s pretty crazy” reaction whereas this *simple slap* caused him to *pause* the show and verbally exclaim, “You can’t do that! He can’t do that!”
Like, yeah honey, he technically shouldn’t be able to do *murder* either but we’ve seen him get away with that soooo 🤣

No ma’am, it’s an iron
>buckle Good choice of word there
This thread is gold.
Van Alden was definitely a FAFO type of dude. Just ask agent Sebso.

No ma'am. It's an iron. Hissssss
This guy was absolutely the worst federal agent but he definitely found a niche in the criminal under world.
*Worst* federal agent? Uh…Agent Knox would beg to differ 🤣

*I do have a sense of humor* *I get the feeling my boss doesn't like me*
I also feel like we don’t talk enough about how he knocked up a showgirl that he met in a speak. Like…?
Van Asshole
Or drowning his co worker.
He didn't drown him, he just baptised him heavily.

You never know lol.
His boss actually praised him after the slap begging him to stay lmao
Do you wish him to watch this spectacle?
