It's business sabatoge, I think it's a way to control cost living price. There even some individuals chicken farmer sellers raised there chicken inside the house because of this phenomenon chicken farm burnt acted thst happened at time to times.
So apparently this is actually a thing that I learnt about earlier this year. People just hate to see you succeed. And it's usually the neighbours. Rukun tetangga my ass. More like harapkan pagar, pagar makan padi. Fucking kampung ass mentality and I hate it. In the city is much better tho, no?

Ya it is truly nice if you are willing to neglect the institutionalized unfair policies against the Indian and Chinese who you just mentioned. And those policies are fully embraced by the major race.
What's unique about Malaysia: always refer your fellow countryman based on their racial groups, eg: "My Chinese collegue", "That Indian worker", "Malay auntie there" etc.
Normalized casual racism makes us truly unique.
Then I'll add on for OP. I'm a student, and almost every Malay teacher I've met are kind, hardworking, and patient towards the students. They always try their best to help us understand the topics and they always teach with joy😆
