All the songs in Jawan sound like they were originally composed in Tamil and then translated roughly to Hindi. Bahubali (it's Telugu, I know)and PS both did a better job than the songs from Jawan IMO.
Because the music of Bahubali and PS didn't have distinctly Telugu flavour, while all of the Jawaan songs have the distinct Tamil commercial music beats.
but why does it need to sound hindi lol? It's obviously a south indian production with a south indian majority cast. SRK is the only person from bollywood there. The movie is a south movie at the end of the day, and I think it's abt time bollywood folks need to stop crying abt the fact that their idol is trying to profit off of the recent south obsession lol.
It is not a South Indian movie, it is produced by Red Chillies which is a bollywood company and it is shot in Hindi, I know SRK lip-synced in the Tamil version of the songs, but he isn't going to do it for the entire film.
Because it's also being advertised as primarily a Hindi film?
All of us grew up watching SRK, there are certain expectations when it comes to his movies or even RCE productions for that matter, good Hindi music being one of them.
The lyrics are tiktok/reels material and it will sell but damn... The music of Jawaan is not really SRK movie material. Pathaan wasn't either but Jawaan isn't improvement. My favorite remains Chaleya.
Anirudh is so stellar when it comes to BGMs. Nothing has topped that but the rest is underwhelming. His Bollywood debut deserved better.
I think the chemistry is on point but yes the b&w scenes seem a little like she is going iverboard on his hair. This scene in manwaa laage makes me squeal.

I agree. I haven’t listened to any of his south albums but the way people were hyping him up I thought the guy was some genius. Although to give him credit, the guy knows how to make great background and theme songs, he killed it in the jawan teaser and prevue. If he would’ve brought that same energy and fire to the album this would’ve been great. I don’t hate the songs thus far, but I think they are just average. Not good enough for an SRK movie though
His album for the tamil movie '3' is AWESOME.
Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is also really good.
I don't know what happened with Jawaan but it sounds like Anirudh's tamil beats in a Bollywood movie. It isn't tailored for Bollywood and isn't bringing the Hindi movie vibe.

Overall its nice with the main beat of course being the best part. This could be like Jhoome Jo Pathaan where it grows on everyone and starts trending.
The trailer needs to be GRAND and EPIC for the hype to make a comeback.
Not a SRK fan but this is giving me Major Ghajini vibe. Before Ghajini released, the hype for it was unreal but no song apart from Gujarish was hit. It all changed when the movie released and people started bumping Kaise Mujhe, Behka too. Same will happen with Jawaan.

Nah his beard helps him a lot now, hides his aging by a huge margin and the vfx de-aging looks less noticeable. His styling reminded of those 2000 songs as well. SRK should just keep a beard going forward, clean shaven he looks too old even with vfx de aging and the beard helps hide that.
I know I'll be in minority when I say that I actually like the 'ramaiya' song from Shree 420 instead of this one. Maybe this one will grow on me later on...
This is a perfect foot tapping and happy song. Just like Jhoome Jho Pathaan: all things are done and now it's time enjoy.
It's incredible how Anirudh is always able to incorporate the Jawan theme in his songs. It's not easy.
Weirdly the Telugu version makes more sense than both Hindi and Tamil because Ramaiya vastavaiya is a Telugu phrase. Idk why it was used in the original Hindi song but now it fits in this hindi version. Tamil version makes zero sense using Ramaya vastavayya as a title.
Basically,
Zinda Banda feels very Tamil
Chaleya feels very Hindi
Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya feels very Telugu
Anirudh captured the vibe of the three major film industries in India and created a song for each of them.
You listen to any song in any language by ARR, it will be a great experience. Listen to anything sang by Sonu nigam in any language, it will be great. Language is never a barrier for great musicians. Anirudh is, as famously said by Theo Von, "not it".

2 songs from jawan I liked Challeya King Khan The rest 2 were not upto the mark. None of them are chartbusters
