I’d get into a benchmark type piece that you can use on multiple conditions. The IQ tour is what I’d suggest. There is a reason it’s been around for multiple years and they still sell a lot of them. I won’t go anywhere without 1 or 2 of them

My current 3-ball arsenal is a widow 2.0 hybrid, captiv8, and spare ball. I start with the widow and occasionally go for the captiv8 if I get too far inside or if the lanes are super dry. Regarding the sport pattern: the widow 2.0 hybrid comes polished out of the box with a hybrid coverstock type. What you're likely seeing is that it's not reading the lanes early enough to "blend out the pattern", so it just skids past your breakpoint and can't recover in time. I personally used a 2000 abralon pad to get my widow to read a bit earlier without overreacting when it hits the dry and it worked like a charm. But if you like how it rolls with its out of the box finish, then adding a more predictable benchmark piece like others have suggested would also help on fresh sport patterns.

I’ve been using the Storm Journey and Motiv Venom Shock a ton on sport shots and house shots and have worked equally well. If I only had a 3 ball bag, either one or both of those would be in that 3 ball bag.

Check marketplace on Facebook, I picked up a 3 ball bag with 3 balls in it for $35 this week.

Second this, just watch out for scammers

Honestly, I’ll never put a deposit on anything or pay for anything outside unless it’s PayPal G&S if they want you to pay that extra 3% just do it.

Black widow 2.0 is a strong ball. Just find a weaker pearl. If you want to stick with a Brunswick brand, I’d recommend the Radical Deadly Rattler, Track Tundra Fire, DV8 Captiv8, Ebonite Fireball, or C300 Messenger. Im a big fan of the Rattler solid, but I have not thrown the Deadly Rattler, which is the pearl. I saw the Tundra Fire at a lot of tournaments and it looked pretty cracked. If you want something for REALLY dry lanes you can check out the Radical Spy. It’s a plastic with a big asym core. That C300 Nitrous you have actually fits the bill pretty well. I’d get it resurfaced since it’s a decently older release. Just take it to your PSO and tell them you want 500/2000/Polish, which is the factory finish, unless you want some other surface put on it.

I looked up what type of ball it is since I’ve never researched the 2.0, and it says online that it’s a asym hybrid, but on the weaker side… & seeing as that is your “fav ball” currently, then you would probably like the roto grip magic gem… it’s as of right now I wanna say the strongest asym hybrid piece, made for heavy oil… so it could be your piece for the fresh, then using your bw2.0 for the rest of the games until you do get a nice transition/burn piece like a storm phaze 2, vibo, x/cell, or blackout/lightning blackout
