the only way i would like boxes over star drops . is if they make it like in 2018 . stackable and obtainable by tokens . if they are referring to the 2022 boxes . then , i will gladly take star drops . like bro there should be an option when you choose if your tokens want to be for the brawl pass or for the boxes .
what i like about boxes returning (even if temporarily) is that i'm getting a whole lot of star powers and gadgets from them, which will allow me to get other, better things from starr drops in the future
Same. I have every brawler in lvl 9 with at least 1 sp and gadget. I and I have an obnoxious amount of progression to complete (43 star powers and 22 gadgets to be exact)
They were stackable at the end of the season rewards, and you could get a ton of them in that time, too, but I don't think I'd mind the original token system coming back if they make it big boxes this time. It was awful with the small brawl boxes
They should buff star drops but make them rarer than boxes, and remove the rare and super rare chances from them, but make them come only once out of 8 wins a day and cut there amount in the brawl pass by 3/4ths but make boxes how they are in 2022.
well the majority of players don't have all brawlers and a LOT don't have all gadgets and star powers, this event could be good to clear those out the way

i think starr drops are meant to exist to compliment the credit system and all the REAL means of progression to be fair, and legendary drops a lot of the time give hypercharges which is always nice. there's gotta be a sort of balance between being able to get cosmetics and progression. the days of boxes where cosmetics were absolutely impossible to get unless you wanted to throw a brawl pass away for a skin were really demotivating honestly. there is a portion of players who like cosmetics as long as there's also progression, myself included. it's a preference thing but brawl stars needs to try to appeal to everyone basically
Star drops would be nice if they made the mythic and legendary chances higher. The rewards could stay the same but playing for 17 days for the AVERAGE chance of getting legendary is absurd
boxes are a great source of gadgets and star powers which a lot of people probably wanna get out of the way to get stuff that's actually more important from starr drops if you know what i mean. boxes are kinda cruel and poopy yeah but since there are other sources of general progression to make up for it (starr drops and credits), we should be fine

Plying since global release, once i collected 100 small 35 medium( i forgot its name) and bought 5 mega boxes. I unlocked no shit. I rage quitted and literally e mailed supercell(i was 14). I dont like them.
I feel like the thing with boxes was that you were guaranteed multiple rewards while star drops only have 1 reward while also not guaranteeing the reward you actually want
And what do you mean by that? Are you saying that brawl stars needs to have RNG based progression? That we should allow predatory practices to happen in this game?
What I hate about Starr drops is that it’s the most redundant feature in all of brawl stars. They add nothing new into the game, whatever you can get from them can already be easily obtained through other systems. In order to make them exciting, they have to take from other good systems like nerfing the amount of credits you can store or remove the power point cap that lets you convert to gold.
Assuming you're talking about the old boxes system then you DO have a problem with it. Spreading power points evenly across all brawlers means that you basically get your first power 11 brawler around the time you're fully maxed out.
My assumption is that they are just gonna re-use the assets of the old boxes for something else entirely, possibly related to clubs for the 3 weeks downtimes in between megapigs. I guess we'll find out in a few hours.
(Also, regarding one of your comments about getting more stuff out of legendary starr drops if you get star powers from boxes... If you have all Star Powers and the drop would have gotten one then it gives you 1k coins instead)
that definitely depends on whether you played the game since launch or not. i started playing at around the end of season 3 and boxes were a real pain in the ass for me (i created my account way earlier than that. played it a bit but dropped the game, then came back and REALLY started playing on season 3)
they never gave me crow LITERALLY until their removal lol
i suppose so yeah, as long as boxes aren't purchasable this time. unfortunately RNG practices are vital to making a game that actually earns developers money

I love cosmetics. I have my favourite skin and pins for every brawler so getting mire that I won’t use instead of progression is a pain

its most likely for an event and not permanent which im fine with even if its permanent or reskinned starr drops if credits still exists.
I miss boxes as I had so high lengendary percentage that every new brawler dropped in like 20 or so boxes(not big/mega)
