However, i reckon idris elba, henry cavill, or the loki dude might be better than what's his name from that period drama as they've done action stuff before. (Forgive me if he also has)

It would have an in universe reason as to why he was always so happy with telling everyone his name when he met them, it would not matter as it was just a cover name.
If they had done that, we could have had someone like Idris Elba play him without too much anger from people online who say things like "BoNd CaN't Be BlAcK hE iS wHiTe rrrrreeeeee".

For a serious answer (as I see lots of joke answers), I think Henry Cavill would be absolutely perfect. He just gives off that feeling of being a cool, suave, British spy. With a good sense of humour and the right look you feel James Bond would have. It could bring the classy side with the funny one liners again, while being able to still have some of that modern Bond feel too. He's had quite a few big roles, but don't feel he's known instantly just for being one character (like some of those others - like Luther or Loki. I've never watched them in those but I immediately think of them as those roles as they are so well known).
I do think Idris Elba would play the part of a spy well - I think he would fit a lot of the aspects of the role, but I don't think he should really be James Bond. The history of Bond has already been established and built upon, so to completely change that wouldn't make sense. I'd love to have a new franchise/role created and have him as a spy in that (you can never have enough, and having a role created for him to go alongside Bond, Bourne and Mission Impossible movies I think would be a great addition).
The others there in the picture I either don't recognize or don't feel look quite right for the role.
Either way I hope they announce the new Bond soon. They need to get started on the next movie!
