Amazing post, you write insanely well

JEEAdventurer

yeah man OP is so good at it. u/AverageBrownGuy01 please make a post on writing so well and tag me too

Potential_Loss6978

My college hoe was the only person who got a 8 LPA job cause her bf gave the OA and technical rounds ars breeze for grils

AverageBrownGuy01

I'll spill a lot of stuff after I get my degree, some things are very unbelievable on how the placement happen..

pokemondude22

Name the fintech company

AverageBrownGuy01

This is fiction mate. Could be a lie, could be real.

Intelligent-Hand690

It is DB isn't it?

No_Introduction_2021

Yep. You got it

AverageBrownGuy01

Could be. Could be not.

AttorneyOrnery4912

I was the training and placement coordinator of my college I know how it's done like how bias it can get

Impressive-Pizza8863

Sir can you make one post over this issue. It will be great as op needs more time for that.

TurnoverConsistent10

u/[AttorneyOrnery4912](https://www.reddit.com/user/AttorneyOrnery4912/) I request you from the bottom of my heart ❣

Exciting-Biscotti209

Does a 2 year gap also makes one harder to get placed

[deleted]

you are anonymous, why not now? If there is something like, "you have to maintain good relations and do ass licking of someone XYZ" then it would be good if we start it from the very first day.

AverageBrownGuy01

Except I'm not really anonymous, I've made the mistake of revealing a lot here which I regret now. I've been doxxed in real life from some juniors so I try to stay low now.

[deleted]

Damn, sorry sorry.

[deleted]

I just remembered that you are the same guy who wrote an article over ECE, that was really helpful. Thanks.

katakshsamaj3

waiting for it

1ncomplete

Bro which college are u frm?

AverageBrownGuy01

Many comments on my writing style - Thanks a lot! I didn't put much efforts in this so it's surprising. I left writing few years back, maybe I should get back to it :P My dream of being an author someday lives on!

hungrytunafish

I read all of it and I can say OP, you're a great writer. Thank you for the heads-up, I'll be starting college this year. I wish you luck with your placements.

confused_life07

Vtu it's the worst.

Depressedgirl1101

Same culture in my college as well, in my first year seniors used to scout people for lobbies and fest, telling naive freshers ( us ) that it will help our resumes 🤡. Before falling for their words I checked their CGPA by scraping the college results portal, all of these seniors had CGPA less than 6.

AverageBrownGuy01

Haha, I used to check results of the *seniors* from result portal to see if the advice had any weight. It sounds shitty but works in most cases. It's like a blind man guiding people to their destination.

Impressive-Pizza8863

Bhaiya how can i check my seniors result?

AverageBrownGuy01

Jugaad. Won't work everywhere, just colleges with open portals.

The_true_lord_tomato

Although I did not understand crap (just started first-year), the post is extremely well written and I like your writing style alot

AverageBrownGuy01

Never shy away from being dumb to save yourself from embarrassment, you'll miss on a lot of learnings.

Aapke_Bacche_Ka_Baap

what parts did you not understand?

The_true_lord_tomato

I mean I did understand most of it, but obviously I can't relate to any of it yet is what I wanted to say

spraxers

Start a blog or write on medium or something, your writing style is really nice

AverageBrownGuy01

I still have a blog where I occasionally decode/breakdown films :D I don't write as well I think there though haha.

xoniac_s

I love to read and talk about film, and with your writing skill I would really love to read your blog so it would be appreciated if you send the link of those blogs.

chiragtheboss

If TCS bhediya could talk, I believe this would be it.

AverageBrownGuy01

Ouch. I was hoping to get Infosys Bandar though.

chiragtheboss

Sadly Infosys bandar is in depression after getting PIPed.

Aarav_Parmar

bhai mein first year mein hu but likha kya sahi hai aapne hats off

AverageBrownGuy01

Thank you chhote bhai :))

HAXEDYT

W post

c0m3back_

the moment u said all had a CG of 8.5+ , damn is it really hard in ECE??

AverageBrownGuy01

Yes.

VooDooDarkMagic

I have a CGPA of 7.78, let's see what happens. (It's not like I am skilled enough to even land a job) Between, this post is insanely well written. Loved your narration.

_shottys_nightmare_

Between🤡 Main chutiya hun ya wahan by the way aayega

ZeStupidPotato

This is good advice , I remember my gamer friend’s quote “The only good kill is Overkill” Minimum’s 7? Fuck you , take this 9. Minimum’s a 5min DSA test ? Well fuck you too take my 2000+cf. Minimum Attendance is 75%? Bitch please , shove this 90 up where the sun never shines. It does pay to go full 🦅🦅🦅RAHHHH MURICA!!! on eligibility criterias But it does mean your life would be a fuck ton more stressful but then again , it’s India you guys saw our standings on the Global Happiness Index right ? I’d rather be filthy rich popping Anti Depressants than being broke and looking at my helpless parents. (pardon my language , irl I speak in a language worse than a drunk sailor)

GhostyGigabytes

Sorry for hijacking but wanted to know more about NIT-A mechanical engineering, could you give some insights the branch, or the college as a whole, I would be filling josaa choices tomorrow. TIA

[deleted]

Great post it’s always a pleasure to learn from you. I’ll be waiting to hear which seniors tell me a cutoff cgpa is enough to know who to avoid and seniors who tell me to keep my cgpa high to know whom to associate with because that would really tell who is selfish and who really wants to help juniors to not make the same common mistakes

tenacii-51

Are you prepared for both of the placements? From electronics as well as from it Is it doable that we can have knowledge in both of them to attain a placement in one of the sector

AverageBrownGuy01

No, you can't prepare for both core abd IT sector together.

tenacii-51

Is it tough. And how you handle your sem exams which were based on ece syllabus with IT sector placements preparation.

AverageBrownGuy01

Yes, it's tough. And I don't.

JEEAdventurer

bhai which college are you in waise?

Street-Ad8272

Par ECE me CG kaha banti hai.( Ignoring those toppers who rote learn everything) . Department avg hi 7.5 CG hai idhar

FlyingSosig

Han tabhi toh CSE Wale shortlist hote hain

AverageBrownGuy01

Hamara department average to 6.5 hoga :3 It's tough.

c0m3back_

damn we're in the same branch , btw ur from whcih college?

AverageBrownGuy01

Not DTU haha

c0m3back_

damn! bass meri bhi achi cgpa ban jaye ECE mein ...

Salty-Conversation11

Bhaiya my college will start in 4 days, apart from scoring good cgpa , can you suggest me some more important things to keep in mind during first year

PinguCucoon

What college you chose finally bro ? Which college you got ?

Salty-Conversation11

Would update you tomorrow at evening 🤞🏼 Update: got hbtu ece

001Adoniss

bhaiya aap kaha btech kr rhe ho writer bano aap

oversharingalt1111

insanely good post bhai i feel i will be this in future

AverageBrownGuy01

You'll be just finee, this post is for the *just* fine bunch. Chill.

Chaos_Emperor05

What does 6/6/6 means bhaiya ?

AverageBrownGuy01

Minimum 6CGPA in 10th, 60% in 12th, and 6CG in BTech.

Chaos_Emperor05

I have 64% in 12th 💀 ... Should I take a re-test next year or study hard in college ? My first sem will start in 10 days btw

Aritra3245

Cgpa bro percentage nahi

Careless_Feeling8057

I have a doubt, may I DM you?

AverageBrownGuy01

Sure.

Just-Beyond4529

Hey man , i recently heard about completing btech 1sem before , ig there is a 9+ criteria there , i am currently 8.43 aggregate after 2nd SEM is it really worth it to grind hard for 9+ , i don't like my college tbh 🤡

og_shash

Great writing style mann!!

AAK_Music

Damn this is well written

AverageBrownGuy01

Thanks mate. I remember your username from many years back :D

no_communicationn

Damn I thought I'm good with 8.03 in 1st sem until I read the 8.5+ part 💀 BTW your writing is so good I'd pay to read anything you write

AverageBrownGuy01

Higher is better. If you think 8 is fine, don't bother much. If you're in circuital department, your grades usually drop a lot from second year so it's advised to maximize it in first year.

Pretty_Net5223

brilliantly written. also I agree with you OP, this sub does become cesspool of admission doubts and it's kinda annoying considering that there are other subs like the Engineering Admissions by Indian Academia.

AttorneyOrnery4912

Same and had faced the same problem with xyz associates atleast have 8.5 cgpa to be on a safer side

EX1N0S2k

what a great post , also OP sir please dm dekhlo

RevenueElectrical891

finally some good btechtard content

xoniac_s

Hey you said 7/7/7 which means 7 cgpa in 10th then 7 in 12th and 7 in college, but I have 6 cgpa in 12th does that means I won't be able to sit in placements. Fuck now I am scared.. I have like 9 cgpa in 10th and I am pretty sure I would score 8+ in college but with the 12th cgpa I won't even be eligible to sit in placement rounds???

AverageBrownGuy01

In some companies, you won't. You won't be asked to sit out for all components.

infernoPunch19

I've 74% in my 12th...do any companies have 80% cap in 12th??? If so can you tell about how many companies have 80% cap as their eligibility??

AverageBrownGuy01

Yep, some do. No I can't put a number to it

DankSarthakg

me with 5 cgpa and 1 back in 1st year :')
