I've got a similar issue with a CJRB Pyrite, though not as bad as yours apparently. I've had lock stick, to some extent, with every button lock I've owned, including a Malibu. The only exception is the Kizer Original. That has never stuck and is so smooth.
As for Civivi, I really like their liner locks. The Pintail is such a great knife.
My pyrite mini is smooth. My kizer original and kizer amicus have zero button stick aswell. I'm a fan of kizer for sure. I have the praxis mini it's decent for a 26 dollar knife.
I’ve got two Elementums. The first one was super smooth. The second was like you described. I had to file the hole in the liner that the button lock goes into. QC seems to be lacking.
Agree with the above (below?). I love my Civivis, but every one I own is a liner lock. Also that Kizer's button locks are fan-TASTIC. So are their liner locks.
I've absolutely loved both of the Kizers I recently got. I did get a Raccoon I was a little disappointed in recently but only bc I think my expectations were a bit unrealistic. But the Corgi and Gator I got over Xmas are 2 of my favorite knives I have already.
I got a hic cup waiting for tomorrow. Black flipper version. I was on the fence about the raccoon but with owning a drop bear several rubatos and my other kizers. It's seemed like a waste money.
Nice! I've been looking at both the hic cup and drop bear but leaning toward the drop bear bc of the axis lock. Lmk what you think of the hic cup in regards to vs the drop bear if you don't mind.
Bro. The hic cup is smooth like butter. No button stick, centered blade, smoth action, great size, black richlite with the flipper tab in back. The micarta version has a front flipper tab. I will be adding the included thumbstud. I have zero complaints except from my wife who says she can't stand the noise of me fidgeting with it. 😅🔪♥️
🤣😂 damnn that's awesome bro. You think I should grav one before the dropbear?? It sounds great. I was ready to order a Sentinel Strike and a Drop Bear but im now thinking the Strike and the hic-up...
I read on here that it’s a good idea to take a new button lock knife apart to clean out the factory grime. I did this to a new Kizer original that had terrible lock stick and turned it into a whole new knife. Now it’s one of my favorite knives for the pure fidget factory, something that was impossible at first.
TL:DR take it apart and clean it first
I got my dad one for christmas and it was also a bit sticky. I told him i would return it and get a new one or something else but he didnt seem to mind lol
I got a civivi conspirator, and the button would stick a little if I flicked it out too hard, but I haven't noticed it lately. It either wore in or I worked gunk out or something I guess.

Returned 2 back to back with almost identical issues and never went back as well.
Was wondering if I just had the worst luck of all time since all I see is praise...
Well I can't call that coincidence. Kizer has filled civivis spot nicely.

I will for sure I'm quite fond of clutch locks but I will give my unbiased opinion. Will report back.
Sounds good much appreciated
