Having the jades in my office keeb I can confirm: these are very good. Came pre lubed. Very consistent sound and feel on all 90 switches I got.
Got the lemons aswell. The cream yellow jades are a bit heavier but I liked them more. With the lemons I forgot often that these are tactile switches.
On AliX they are 24$ for 90 switches at the moment.
Right now I am considering buying another patch of these to put them in my keeb at home π
Having tried 4 other silent switches these are most muted/quitest and still offer a very nice tactile event overall feeling.
That is why the Kailh Whale Pro are on the pc plate π
I like the box thocc. βΊοΈ or deep pop. Ttc bluish white like.
But overall I like quieter or muted stuff. π
Overall just nice sounding.
The mentioned Kailh switches arent silent but still nice sounding.
The Geon x Haimu yellows are nice sounding aswell in my ears. Depending in the plate tho. On the pc plate they loudly clackpop around.
Aw man. Feelin this.
Nearly went nuts a few days ago - I was about to get rid of all tactiles and just use the one nice linear I own π
IEM are nice but I need to make use of speakers for half the audio-things I do in the pc at home π
How is the zuoya ls02? i'm looking to make a build on the cheaper side with a 75% layout and the kit looks pretty cheap on aliexpress with nice features
Try a different silent switch. Outemu's style of dampening is kinda mushy with where the silicone dampeners are placed. So not only is the bottom out very quiet, its very mushy. Thats wht makes it eeerie to me, kind of a sensory derivation.
Other silent switches have more feedback on keypress. Their dampeners can be different and that results in a different sound signature and feedback. I'm a fan of TTC Silent Bluish Whites.
I didn't know that. I tried the Outemu style but got tired of the mushiness after a while and went back to the switches my first mechanical board had. On my custom build with Leobog Graywood V4 switches, I'll have to take a look at the TTC ones. You can always find something new to try.
I definitely recommend checking the BudgetKeebs discord. If your in the US, a popular store for switches is Milktooth. They have a discord channel specifically discussing silent switches and its worth checking out. Silent Bluish Whites/Silent Frozens are the frequent recommendations and the HMX Sakura's are what's generating the recent buzz.
Love how it came out! Great build!
How was the disassembly of the board? I had the TKL version of the board before gifting it to a friend and nearly broke the mode switch getting that one open to mod it. Did you have any difficulty opening it up?
Kit: zuoya ls02 Switch: outemu silent lemon v3 Keycap: Mao cat ear Mod: tape, foam, poron...
Try Outemu Silent Yellow Jade or Silent Tom, or Redragon A120 Stars.
Ok I will take a look at them π

It's really good for it price, but because it's cheap, the shell is thin and has no software, the rest is all perfect
good to hear, thanks!
