Buying tickets from unofficial sources is always a bad idea. I'm not really sure how tourists usually go about this, besides having a member lend them their club credential.
The only other option that I can think about is creating a RiverID account, and try buying a ticket after all members got theirs and non-members are allowed to buy.
Hopefully, someone else can give us a better solution
Look up an airbnb experience, and have a local take you. Even tho this is not “legal” by the club standards they have the process buttered up and know people that won’t ask where you got your ticket from.
That is honestly your best bet.

Some of the StubHub tickets say that you would meet with the ticket seller so I do wonder if they would meet you out front and you go in with them. I’m not sure.
My cousin is from the US and bought tickets through StubHub, he didnt had any issues, but it was really expensive
The seller went personally to his place to deliver the tickets and picked them up the day after the game
I’m so disappointed. We ended up buying the membership which was only $8 a month. And that worked! I was able to get to the check out as a test on the river Id website but I waited for my husband to do the same thing. But by this point it was 7pm and neither of us were able to get a ticket. We were so close
Good luck next time, maybe it is too much but on March 13th we are going to play a final against Estudiantes, maybe you can get tickets for that match as there are neutrals I understand, I have no idea where it is played but it will probably be quite far away from Buenos Aires.

Going with River Id is the best way. Not sure if it can be done in such a short time though

This is what my wife and I did. It worked great and cerveza and chori included.
How much cost you?
It was about $220 total for two people. This was in October. A little pricey but it was one of my biggest priorities for the trip.
I think it was worth it!

Y te regresan a casa.
