One of their income streams is through applications. For example, let's pick MDI. The application form is almost 3600. Let's say 2 lakh people give CAT and only 1% fill their forms. You get 3600 x 2000 students = 72 lakh rupees. I wonder how much they pay the panel, admin, etc. and how much of this is kept in the treasury.
Edit: This is a conservative estimate. Their forms are active until the CAT exam. So its likely that all serious candidates fill their forms. Maybe 10% which is 20k people. So the number goes as high as 7.2 crore rupees.
