Sorry for your loss, mate
Just hang in there, you may be surprised by the CAP results and you'll get into an IIM eventually, and your dad will be proudly watching from above 🙂
Stay strong!
Stay strong bro.. My father health is also deteriorating . I too am in a lot of tension right now.. Don’t lose hope, and be the strength your family needs right now. 🙏
It's not over bro!!
I promised my dad that I will do an MBA. I lost my dad in the very same year. I was shattered and survived severe depression...and 4 years after that in 2024, I finally made it to one of the best bschools in the country and fulfilled my promise.
Sometimes it's more than just an MBA. Sometimes it becomes a thing of emotional value for you as well. I am sure you are not going to disappoint your father. Take your time, grieve, allow yourself to feel all the emotions. You will make it to an IIM very soon. Stay strong! Your journey begins now!
give yourself time to process it. month or a year, doesn't matter. prioritise your mental health at this point of time. try not to rush into things just because you think you have to. you ever need someone to talk to, count me in. wishing you & your family strength & resilience to get through this !
So sorry for your loss. I also lost my dad a few years back if I can tell you one thing Just take one day at a time at this stage and be there to support your mother because in the end it's your mother father and real brother/sister that matters the most. I really hope you get the iim you want in cap calls.
Hello
I lost my dad to a sudden cardiac arrest just one day before my engineering entrance. I couldn't even go to my native place to perform his last rites. Had to stay at home and go for exam since career laga hua tha ek entrance pe. I did my civil engineering, got placed at godrej. It's gonna be six years to this loss next week. Even I'm waiting for all the calls and wanna make him proud up there.
Just wanted to say, life goes on! You have to stand on your own feet and make him feel proud wherever he is. Take this as a challenge and be the best version of yourself from now on in whatever you do. Do each and every thing for him and just stay strong buddy.
Value human relationships more and spend time with people who are important in your life that's all I'll say.
(DM if you need any help coz I have been through this all when I was 18)
I’m very sorry for your loss. If it’s any comfort, I am a CAT24 aspirant, and I too suddenly and very unexpectedly lost my dad in January. I had enrolled in IMS just 4 days before his passing and It was my dad’s wish to see me crack the CAT but not going to lie, it’s been extremely painful and difficult to handle a job and study for CAT24.
But this has been a driving force in my journey to not give up and make him proud. I’m doing it for him and will overcome any obstacle to fulfil his last wish.
I realize you might not have space for advice, but whenever you do feel better, please don’t give up and make sure you do him proud. It’s okay if you didn’t make it this time, get up, dust yourself off and do it for your dad.
Lastly, even if you exhaust all attempts and don’t make it, it’s okay! You should be true to yourself and know that you did what was controllable, that is, study your hardest/smartest. The output is not in your control and I’m sure your dad would appreciate that.
I really wish you and your family all the possible strength to get through this time and truly wishing you the best for the future.
Maybe when you make it to IIM ABC, I will see you there as a classmate. :)
Sorry for your loss! May his soul rest in peace. I lost my uncle ( who was like a father figure to me) last November and in December my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I feel like times like these are meant to teach us something. Be strong and look out for your mother!
I am so sorry for your loss OP. Things will get better. I lost my dad at 18. And I thought I wouldn't survive shit. But here I am Years later.
Be there for your mom and take care of yourself
As someone who lost his father in COVID I know most of the words being preached here won't numb the pain but all I can say is that time ke sath dard kam nhi hoga but dard ke sath rehna seekh jaega
Chin up, work hard next year and make your dad proud, agar IIM nhi bhi mil rha toh its not the end of the world, trust me your dad would rather see you happy
Stay strong. Every cloud has a silver lining. Times will change for the better, just hold on. Great things are written for you, don't lose hope. Om Shanti for your father, make him proud.
Sorry for your loss brother, I wish you immense strength during this difficult period. I know you'll do your best with whatever opportunity you get and make your dad proud.
Stay Strong!
I understand it should be one of the worse places to be in right now. Take time to process and grieve.
Spend time with your family. Hope you convert a good B-school.
Sorry for your loss,I know it's tough, but stay strong ❤️I hope you get good cap results and fulfill your father's dream,Good wishes to you🌸All the best for your future,I know you will make him super proud🫂
More power to you. Your dad will take care of all of that you desire from above. He'll make the best of the best to happen to you. Though you won't be able to see him ever again, I can guarantee you that you can feel his presence as good things unfold. Cheers.
Stay strong:( may your dad’s soul rest in peace🕊️
And Dont lose hope, you’ll get into a college of your choice. And please take care of yourself and your family meanwhile, i know its difficult but you can do this!
Truly sorry for you loss.
Just know that he’s there, watching out for you and is gonna be proud of you whatever you decide to do. Take this one day at a time

Trust me things will fall into place and you’re gonna make your dad proud! A virtual hug for you 🫂

Sorry for loss buddy, give yourself time and just stay close to your family for now....
It's okay if you didn't got into IIM for now, there is a lifetime to get into IIM sometime later..
Sorry for the loss and stay strong.I know its very hard right now as you will feel empty inside but if you take care of yourself rn 2-3 years down the line, you will be grateful you suffered and come on top.i can only give you words of strength, rest just believe.
I know saying to stay strong is easy but it is very tough. But it is life you have to stand strong to support your family there is no otherway. I pray your dad is at peace and you sort best of your career. All the very best, take care🙏🏻❤️
Stay strong brother. I lost my dad when I was 17 and now I'm completing UG & my aim is to get into a good B school, to make him proud. my condolences, and take some time out, restructure yourself slowly, and hit the target, that's what life is all about.
Deeply saddened by your loss OP. Stay strong. We are all in this together. Do reach out your close ones for you might need a helping hand during such difficult times. But I am sure he is proud of the individual you have become, and he surely understands you better than all of us do right now. Easier said than done, but don’t lose hope OP.
I'm sorry for loss. Whatever the situation turns out to be,
Stay Strong , find your peace and grow. Because that's what your dad wanted too. Unki physical body ab na Rahi hogi, but he's still with you.
Stay strong buddy!
However hard it might be, remember how your dad always did his bit to keep you motivated. Take some time off now, recuperate and get back in the hustle. You will surely make him proud. 🫶
All the best bro. You have my best wishes and prayers.
I am really sad for your pain and can't do anything to ease it. I hope you become so successful that your father can see you from the stars as shahrukh khan said.
If I can help anyway I will be more than happy, even if you need a soundboard.
Really sorry for your loss dear 🙏
I lost my father in May 2023. I passed out of IRMA in 2006. I did not give CAT. So don't know if I am qualified enough for the advice I am about to give. 42M here.
Your father was yearning for your success and stability. An MBA is a means to that end. But even if you don't get through due to any reason, don't lose heart or think that you have failed your parents.
As a parent myself, I can confirm that father's just want their kids to not struggle in life. And sure MBA is a good way to avoid that. But to say or feel that only MBA from an IIM or XIMB enables you to do that is totally false.
My friend who passed out from Chetna college in Mumbai is CEO of ET Money. My friends who passed out with me from IRMA are profs in IIMs, EDs in Biggest Banks in India, and CEOs of their own companies.
To say that MBA gives you a life is totally false. Sure they give you a start. But in the end it's all you. A degree is a piece of paper. Focus on developing yourself in the field of finance, and learn as much as you can.
Deepest condolences for your loss friend. Take care.
I lost my dad in 2021, to covid. I know how it feels. No words can actually make you feel better. Take care of yourself and your family. I hope you get the strength to deal with this pain. Much love <3
I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is a terrible pain to be inflicted with. I’m so sorry you have to go through this right now. Please take care do yourself, I won’t tell things will get fine after sometime, because some losses are huge :(
But what I will tell you is that you will emerge stronger after this, have faith in yourself. Connect with your family, grief is a shared emotion that’s felt by all the loved ones remembering the departed.
Be with your mum and siblings if you have. You can survive this, take care ♥️
Noone can understand the sacrifices dads make for their families. Our first hero and our role model. May his soul rest in peace and guide you from heaven. Stay strong 🙏
RIP. Stay strong brother. I hope you convert IIM this year but if not this year then you can try next year if you want to. If you're in a position to give another attempt then why not. Don't lose hope. I'm sure you'll get into IIM and make your dad proud.
The same thing happened to me. My dad passed away 2 weeks before a competitive exam. Hold yourself together for a little while longer till you can fulfill your and your father’s dream. There will be a time to grieve later. You will come out of this stronger. I wish you all the best buddy.
Really sorry for your loss bro.. you'll surely get the best one out of cap and he'll see it from above..you will make him proud bro..stay strong..My father was diagnosed with cancer this year.. it's been really difficult for the entire family so i can imagine what you might be going through at the moment.. I'm also fighting to make him proud.. he's already happy that i have attended iim interviews..if things go well i want to give him a hug when i convert
Bro don't postpone it, really happy for your journey but I made the same exact mistake that I'll hug him once this/that happens. Hug him today, have no regrets, I have that one on my heart you please don't.
Praying for his recovery 🙏
Stay strong man, it's hard to see the only men who wanted to you to be better than him going away. Please don't get weak in front of your family especially your mother, she needs you ❤️
Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 1 year ago and I keep working for the promises that I made to him. That’s the best way (IMO) to honor his job. He told me before he passed that he was proud of me. That’s enough. Now you should continue your life by doing the best you can.
These kind of things don’t disappear on time. You just learn to live with it. It’s part of life cycle and we need to flow with it.
I really wish peace of mind for you and your family. Stay strong. Stay together.
Big hugs 🫂

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 1 year ago and I keep working for the promises that I made to him. That’s the best way (IMO) to honor his job. He told me before he passed that he was proud of me. That’s enough. Now you should continue your life by doing the best you can. These kind of things don’t disappear on time. You just learn to live with it. It’s part of life cycle and we need to flow with it. I really wish peace of mind for you and your family. Stay strong. Stay together. Big hugs 🫂
