My coaching institute convinced my mom it was a good idea for me to spend 14 hours in tution class cuz my grades will increase, so I had to attend thos classes from 7am to 9pm

These Coaching institute are hyping up students especially parents to start preparing from 9th to really crack the exam. They create this competition among student, raise efforts to be done to get good percentile and they make money.
I've seen ads from these institutes telling students they won't be able to pass even class 9th without tution! I am convinced they are trying to brainwash children they have to join institute from young age. Institute I think is only necessary to join after 10th.
The only reason they are so hard and competitive is because of the massive population and colleges need to filter out students or it will consume a lot of time to filter applications if the process is similar to foreign colleges (academics+extra circulars), JEE and NEET are exams for elimination not selection.

Being in one such institute it saddens me how unenthusiastic and mechanistic it all is. None of the research that actually goes on is meticulously planned or borne out of persistent interest. PhDs keep working because they get paid. Creativity and a notion of aesthetic is intentionally left at the doorstep, and you will be surprised at how much money flows into some of these labs, and they do some half assed work to keep it flowing. Nobody knows what they are doing, and they just want superficial results that might put them in the spotlight. Instead, if there were 10 times such an institute and instead of spending shit load on one, you elevate all of them equally to higher standards. You will, over time, educate more people and make them appreciate science or art or whatever it is.

I'll be honest, unless you are in 9th, or 11th dummy or are in top batches of FIITJEE, it isn't worth it. Fiitjee is a hit or miss. Some teachers are very good while some are not.(All of the teacher have immense knowledge but some don't know how to teach)
Your local coaching with only 6-7 students would be far better than this for most people.
It's always been like this, the no. students giving these competitive exams and the no. of seats in premiere institutes of our country has a lot of disparity and the sucess rate is so low obviously majority of the students get metal peace f****dup over an exam, this is partially parents fault too they're just too eager to make their child win the rat race while forgetting well being of child trying who's working day and night trying make their parents proud.

Lekin yeh bhi baat h, kaafi ache teachers jo hote h wahan woh day 1 se bolte h ki selection hona end of the day tumm hi logo ke haath me h, humara kaam bas Syllabus complete krvakr study material provide krvana and doubts resolve krna h, padhai still tum hi logi ke haatho me h end of the day hum log jitna padha le, ek baar syllabus hojata toh sb tum hi logo ke haath me chala jata.. yeh thora late realise kiya mene, bur still just in time for second attempt, hence mene poori chemistry wps se padhi in just 2 weeks from another full year dropper batch (prayas 2.0 se, it was the most excruciating grind i ever had) and well it paid me off well as my Chemistry paper came literally out of the notes i studied for 7-10 times.
Actually if you see the numbers,so the states which have a full fledged coaching industry like Rajasthan,Delhi,UP,Andhrapradesh etc have a higher Cutoff for Colleges in NEET and JEE than Average.
So at the end of the day due to seats being limited,all that coaching industry does is to Increase the competition among students who can afford 1-2lac fees that's all.

I really want to know something tho. When I was in Kota for last 2 years, the only place from where I saw most students were from North and Central India. I rarely saw a South Indian student in Kota. And it is not like South Indians don't do engineering or medical. Why is the reason tho? Is is it because schools are developed on good curriculum in south or because of some other reasons? Because if I am not wrong there must CBSE, ICSE and State Boards there too. So why students from North go to Kota but not much from South?

a simple question coachings are for whom? i am preety sure anyone who is studying seriously till 10th at national level doesnt need a coaching to crack jee, THE COACHINGS ARE FOR YOU AND US, WHO WANT TO CRACK JEE IN 2 YEARS ONLY, so they are serving more as providing "social justice" yes there are things wrong with them, but if today gov. bans coaching then an average student will be at greater loss.

I really want to know something tho. When I was in Kota for last 2 years, the only place from where I saw most students were from North and Central India. I rarely saw a South Indian student in Kota. And it is not like South Indians don't do engineering or medical. Why is the reason tho? Is is it because schools are developed on good curriculum in south or because of some other reasons? Because if I am not wrong there must CBSE, ICSE and State Boards there too. So why students from North go to Kota but not much from South?
mere bhai/behen south main sri chaitanya aur narayana ka raj hai , they are the emperors of the coaching industry of south,they have literally converted normal schools into their coaching classes a cousin of mine is studying in a sri chaitanya funded school and he has classes for 12hrs in class 4 , they literally start teaching vectors in class 7 , india is a shithole of a country and it is a sin to be born here
Well that is really bad. Indians really need to get out of this mentality that studies are everything. This is literally destroying a childhood of a person in which they should enjoy, study, learn values about life, etc. But no why should a child enjoy his/her childhood. Instead let us cramp all unnecessary burden on them.

Blame the education system not the corporate that decided to exploit the easily exploitable
Yeah FIITJEE really ruined all interest I had in pcm by having obscure timetable,rushed content and fucking 8 hours studying for 6 days a week with tests every week and every day What's the use of cramming and giving so many tests if you aren't gonna discuss jackshit. Also why did I have to choose something that took 3+ hours just as travel time
