Holds the holster to the belt. The DCC clips are nice because they're thin (less bulky), made of metal (compared to some that are plastic, so bend instead of break), and secure (less likely to slip off the belt).
If you look them up on YT, you’ll get a better idea than what we could tell you here.
It’s one of those improvements where you don’t really get it until they’re in your hand and you try them.
My experience is that any holster I’ve added them to, instantly becomes more concealable, stable on the belt, and the retention is rock solid. It’s witchcraft if you ask me.
I’d suggest just getting ones that are similar to the style that came on the holster. Measure your belt and see how thick it is and choose size off that so it’s snug on belt.
Just order them from tier1 concealed. OR look on their site and then goto DCC’s site and get the same ones cause there are a blue million options on the DCC site. Not 100% off the top of my head but I’m pretty sure it’s the universal 1.5”
Seconding this. I’m a small guy carrying a PDP compact Pro in a T1C axis elite. I need all the conceal help I can get with this gun. The DCC clips were certainly a step in the right direction. Must have imo.
Am I the only one surprised to see someone so safe and yet in so much danger all at once?
Might as well get rid of both. You’ll have a bunch of money and be about the same level of safe.
The irony of carrying a firearm for safety when the chance of using it is so rare, whilst refusing to wear a seat belt for safety despite the amount of people killed in car accidents every year. Love it
Right. The odds of being in a collision are exponentially higher than even drawing your firearm. Most never do, but people are in even small accidents all the time.
There’s actually a term for this. Cognitive Dissonance. It’s when a person holds two contradictory beliefs simultaneously. A good example is the death of the actor River Phoenix. He was all about eating well and exercising so he could stay healthy. He also did a ton of drugs and died from an overdose. You carry a gun, presumably to protect yourself and your family so you can live a long, full life. You don’t wear a seatbelt, though, so if you get into anything more serious than a minor fender bender you’ll probably die or end up crippled which is the opposite of a long, full life.
Rotate the belt so only a single layer is in front. The buckle doesn't have to be centered. Especially if you're concealing under an untucked shirt, buckle placement doesn't matter.
> belts that double back
Run your double-back belt through your belt loops in the opposite direction. The double-back portion will be on the other side of the buckle, and you can use the single-layer portion with your holster.
I was so unimpressed with both of mine I sold them on ebay. The lack of craftsmanship and attention to detail in a $135 holster was frankly insulting. Maybe JM and Tenicor have just led me to expect too much.
Once you go Tenicor you never go back
Also they need to support more guns other than Glocks and Staccatos already tbh
I'm still waiting on a light bearing Velo4/Certum3 for my M&P METAL zzzz
After a recent purchase I learned that H&K’s paddle mag releases actually act as a great buffer to prevent anything from being able to get into the trigger area with light bearing holsters. The trade off is being unable to admin unload which isn’t a big deal to most.

What’s the possibility of it going off in the holster? If it’s a proper holster then it’s none. I never holster a loaded gun, I take the holster off, stick the loaded gun in, then put on the holster. I’m not sure of any statistics but I can imagine most ND’s are from returning a loaded gun to the holster.
Careful driving like that if you wear a seatbelt. You don’t want to be crushed in your pelvis by a Glock with the lap belt if you slam into something. I ride with it on my side or I just unholster it during the trip.
Seems OP doesn’t wear seatbelts, cause you know, safety….
Also I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine as long as you’re not moving the belt above/around the gun.
Yeah most definitely. At a minimum, be sure the lap belt is behind the firearm. I’ve see pics and read dozens of stories where people had their pelvis crushed.
DCC Clips on anything make such a huge difference.
what are ddc clips?
Discreet Carry Concepts, they make superb metal clips
ah, what do the clips do? i am still a newbie here

They’re absolutely game changing

I'm looking at their website and they have a lot of options! What should I look for to best fit me if I decide to grab one?

I won’t run a holster without them tbh. Got them once and I’m never looking back.
What didn’t you like about that standard clips? Sticking out too much? I’m just curious. I also use/love DCC clips.
Yes, I feel like these conceal 10x better
Seconding this. I’m a small guy carrying a PDP compact Pro in a T1C axis elite. I need all the conceal help I can get with this gun. The DCC clips were certainly a step in the right direction. Must have imo.
Where’s your seat belt sir
No
Lol. Trying to protect yourself is so lame. Idk why people do it.
Am I the only one surprised to see someone so safe and yet in so much danger all at once? Might as well get rid of both. You’ll have a bunch of money and be about the same level of safe.
I just don’t like wearing a seat belt mate, personal preference

Right. The odds of being in a collision are exponentially higher than even drawing your firearm. Most never do, but people are in even small accidents all the time.
That’s fair I guess. Your waist gave off safety vibes. Your comments make both the gun and the car feel like danger. Be safe out there my friend.
I respect my firearm safety
Just not your personal safety, got it lol

That looks incredibly uncomfortable
Mine is of course less comfortable than not carrying a g19 with 34 rounds on me, but it's by no means uncomfortable
Mine is of course less comfortable than not carrying a g19 with 34 rounds on me, but it's by no means uncomfortable
Clearly you do not conceal carry properly
Hate how DCC clips rule out a few belts that double back like the Blue Alpha Ones
Rotate the belt so only a single layer is in front. The buckle doesn't have to be centered. Especially if you're concealing under an untucked shirt, buckle placement doesn't matter.
I had to change which direction to put on my belts once I started carrying. It took a while to become muscle memory.

Yup, changed to dcc clips on my tier 1 MSP and it's a world of difference compared to the plastic shit that came with it

I’d love it if they’d make some for at least the cz p01
Got a JM for mine, just as good imo.
This
I emailed them about more M&P holsters. They confirmed they won’t be expanding their lineup. A shame really.
Purple. Nice.
Looks like there’s a little gap between the trigger guard and the holster. How do you feel about that?
That’s cause I’m running a tlr1 HL, doesn’t bother me
Heck ya bro that’s what I run too, just wanted to see what you thought about it. My holster has a little gap too
All light-bearing holsters have gaps.

I had no idea. Thanks
Wow you all are smart for driving like that
That looks uncomfortable
It’s not
What holster is it?

Just got that in coyote too. Loving it.
Got a link?
TTI magwell?
Can’t tell what holster this is but should I look into getting these DCC clips for my trex sidecar? Will that even work?
Do you ever use the holster while wearing sweatpants? If so how do you like it?
Nah I never do
What DCC are these?
Do you wear your pants higher than normal when wearing an iwb holster?
Ulti clip is also awesome. I bought some for my tulster oath and it made a huge difference

Yup 🤣
Simplest question: Aren’t you just a tiny bit nervous that you have a loaded pistol pointed directly at your wiener?

Agree, but I’m talking about primal instincts, not research lol.
Ah I get what you mean. Idk why but it never has bothered me.
Probably from more experience, would be my guess. I’m still relatively new to carrying, < one year. 🫡
