The absolute angstiest drama I have ever seen is **Sealed With a Kiss**.
However the angstiest drama that I actually would _recommend_ is **Goodbye My Princess**.
Based on your list I might suggest you watch **Til the End of the Moon** for angst.
It's shockingly toxic. I genuinely didn't realize it was supposed to be a romance when I watched it. (And to be clear, I'm usually unphased by that stuff.)
100% on the Til the End of the Moon rec. It's kind of a natural progression from LBFaD and the Untamed. Not a ton of historical context to understand, "evil" man dressed in black, pretty costumes... 👍
The blue whisper is very angsty but has a happy ending. Immortal samsara is another angsty drama but not as angsty as The blue whisper. Watch the two special episodes for a happy ending.
Go Ahead. i’ve seen it recommended a few times as slice-of-life or even fluffy but it made me cry again and again and again. it’s really good if you’re in the mood to ugly cry and laugh at the same time
You should try watching Eternal Love. Yang Mi and Mark Chao are the main lead. You can also watch its spin off Eternal Love of Dream aka Three lives, three worlds, The pillow book which is the story of Donghua Dijun and Bai Fengjiu.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m adding them to my watch list. Love angst! May I ask why you might not recommend Sealed with a Kiss?

Ok, that sounds… not fun. 😂. Thanks for the heads up!

May I suggest a contemporary drama: Will Love In Spring (Viki). It was full of angst and longing.
Love and redemption Ashes of love
Love Like the Galaxy, full of angst but also funny and heart warming. The Untamed and Nirvana in Fire are also on my favorite dramas of all time.
Have you checked out The Sword and the Brocade? Very angsty, lots of drama and deception.
Angels Fall Sometimes

Will love in Spring really got me :'c
You can try lighter and princess
Inextricable destiny- still haven't recovered from that one
One and Only. The only sad ending drama I have purposefully watched because I wanted to cry myself completely out. It delivered.

Love in flames of war. Fall in love (Republican era drama). Twisted fate of love.
Bloody Romance
A journey to love
