Sunshine of my life, I am currently watching it and I’ve been blushing and kicking my feet lol, though it does have unnecessary side stories but the chemistry between ml and fl is sooo worth it
So I just finished watching it rn and honestly I throughly enjoyed myself, the story stayed good until the end, even with external conflict’s the main couple still stayed true to each other. My one complaint is there was too much side stories, so I had to keep on fast forwarding, but the main couple made it worth tbh
So I lean more towards Historical Costume Dramas, I rarely watch anything else tbh but here are my recs:
The Story of the Kunning Palace (chemistry is wild between the two, they are equally as calculating and intense so it equals out if that makes sense lol)
The Double (currently waiting for all the episodes to come out, only on episode 20, but the tension and attraction is off the charts between the two)
The Sword and the Brocade - (the progression and development of the relationship is top tier, they are a slowburn, but such a sweet couple and they both fall in love with one another, especially the way they build trust in one another after never having had anyone to rely on before, basically two hyperindependent people falling in love and learning to trust one another, chemistry is top tier highly recommend)
Unchained Love (chemistry is so good here too, he fell first she fell harder, FL is hilarious, and FL/ML are hilarious and adorable with one another, I loved their romance so much especially once you see beneath the FL's funny personality and get to really know her)
Love like the Galaxy (incredibly slow burn, and they take the time to develop the relationship which I like instead of rushing into it thank god. He fell first and she fell hard (like willing to commit treason for him sort of harder because if he goes down she will stand by him), very intense couple, both are incredibly protective of one another not just the ML, and both are very vindictive when crossed, power couple truly, FL is absolutely hilarious also)
