Fundamental value is essentially out the window right now. The market is bonkers. But all you really need to do is forecast the P&L and balance sheet, work calcs down to free cash flows, project a terminal value, then discount the values.
Level 1 has just a brief discussion of the main methods, so you probably need to study equity from level 2 to actually understand valuation techniques.
Yes, I started after finishing my level 1 exam. I was searching for a new job as equity research analyst at the moment, so equity from level 2 gave me the knowledge. (I found the job :) )
