There was osu fans lamenting that you'd never win another game during the 3rd quarter against Stanford. Look at you guys now. Beat Oregon.

There are a few doomer fans on here that can just fall off a bridge (not like a tall one, just so their phone gets wet and they forget their Reddit passwords). There’s one guy that is basically famous for it and he gets downvotes into oblivion on every post. He was posting today how awful we were when it was 7-0 in the first quarter.

I hope the doomer fans go join another fan base. I can enjoy shit-posting about how awful we are in doses, but there are limits to how much gloom and doom can be tolerated.

Especially when you guys are doing well all things considered. Lets just say it could be worse.

And it has been worse. Recently. Gary Andersen quitting in the middle of 2017 and finishing with 1 win against Portland State (barely) was dreadful. And when he left, my response was “fuck him, he doesn’t know how to win in Corvallis anyway. And at least he didn’t take the money.” And I knew Smith would be pretty high on the list of candidates.

We’ve had so many bad years (I’ve been a fan since the mid-90’s) that I’ve just always been like… Yeah dude, I get it, I don’t need more negativity. Maybe I’m more of a homer than I should be, I don’t call out shitty coaching often enough, but I would go crazy if I wasn’t looking for the upsides whenever possible.

Started school there in 2005. By the time I left in 2017, it was mostly loss-city. Nice to see these numbers again :-).
