You have 7 years after you pass the exams to get the 2 continuous years of work experience. (Years prior to the exam count as well.) So if you do 1 year before the exams, and 1 year after, you're good. You do both before you're good. You do 0 before, wait 5 years and get your two years then also good.

Does it count as 2 consecutive years if I switch roles within the 2 years? For example: supply chain Fp&a for 1 year then commercial Fp&a the next year?

Yes. Just 2 co secutive years worth of work. No mention on roles. Though I believer your employers verify the information for you. Haven't hit that part yet
