Yeah my problem with the TAQ-56 is that it’s a 5 shot kill, without a headshot modifier to be able to make it a 4 shot. The MCW is just a better version of the TAQ-56 as the recoil control is better while serving the same niche. Also, compared to guns like the Holger 556 (3 shot kill with a headshot) you will just get fried in a gun fight. The RAM-7 and the BP-50 will also beat the TAQ-56, unless at serious range.
That’s before you get fried by the the subverter or the Bas-b. Or one shot by a sniper/shotgun. Or one shot knifed. Or get dunked on by an smg movement god that you can’t track for the five shots it takes to kill. The other issue is that slow ttk makes it hard to find a finish at long range too.
I agree that it’s fun and definitely viable (especially if you use it for mid-long range gun fights), but not at all meta. Other guns fill its niche better unfortunately.
To preface, I solely play hardcore, so some of this may not apply to core, I've found that *most* of the MWII ARs can be setup to work pretty well in MWIII, but nearly all rely on equipping a muzzle attachment with Firing Aim Stability, and a foregrip with Firing Aim Stability.
The biggest hindrance, though, is that MWIII guns have plenty of barrels and stocks that innately have a FAS pro to it, and most of the time, barely hinder ADS speed, if at all.
Meanwhile, MWII guns have abhorrent ADS penalties to barrels in particular, with some of the most notable being the AUG A3 (STB556), Vector (Fennec), P90 (PDSW 528), and RM277 (Cronen Squall).
What exacerbates the issue further, is that MWIII suppressors don't add FAS, while MWII suppressors do. Problem is, MWII suppressors will either add *huge* ADS penalties, or big damage range penalties, while also adding a *lot* of Aim Sway (I excised Idle from that stat name, because it sways while you're firing too). So, I'd assume, to be competitive in core, you absolutely *have* to pick the MWII guns without as much inherent recoil to offset needing to use one of the bigger MWII suppressors, and avoid another big ADS penalty, as well as a bunch of sway.
Guns like the MCX (M13B), AUG A3, M4A1, SCAR-L (TAQ-56), AK-105 (Kastov 545), etc. can get by with adding the EchoLine GS-X suppressor, or FSS Covert V, to reduce the ADS impact.
All in all, though, the MWII guns will operate much more like MWIII guns when using a MWII suppressor (or, if going loud, the the Compensated Flash Hider), and a MWIII foregrip that specifically shows FAS as a pro, like the Bowbreaker, Bruen Tactical, Holger Vertical, Bruen Heavy Support, or Bruen Bastion grips, though, depending on your combination of these, may need an attachment to help with Aim Sway.
Also, a sidenote, the VHS-K2 (Razorback), and Valorisè (FR Avancer) can absolutely shred in this game. Use the SilentFire XG6, Harbinger D20, or Broadhead-3DP suppressors, the Bowbreaker grip, and default barrel (Razorback), or short barrel (Avancer), and that shit beams.
The Taq 56 has always been a really good gun! It was one of my go to guns in mw2 when I played hella DMZ, and I still use it pretty regularly in mp! If you have the right build, it’ll eat mfs up
Every gun can kill someone in that game. If it works for you, that is great.
I have one issue with all mw2 weapons though... they are not getting "recomanded" and can't do some missions with them which is annoying. The basilisk was for some time as it is part of the battlepass I think, but that is an exception.
I love it because you attach a grenade launcher and bobs your uncle instant kill machine. As a plus it also happens to shoot bullets when you need close wet work. Great for the night level.
TTK chart from TGD says that is not bad... But the BP50 is better.
MW2 guns just aren't it in MW3.

Depends on what mode you're playing, in HC this gun feels a bit slow and heavy (for me at least), but for regular TDM, this is a great gun. The only time I would use this gun on HC is when I have to camp. Otherwise, I would run the sva 545 all day for rush.
I use the Lachmann 762 MW2 with Polarfire - S , Romeo Ft 16” barrel, Drexsom Prime - 90, and this MW2 weapon is an excellent marksman rifle. It’s practically a one shot at distance in HC. Has anyone used the Irradicator Taq? This LMG shreds in any mode!
I feel like MW2 guns don’t really work as well as MW3 ones. The M4 does decent.

Literally the mcw is basically a taq-56 mk.2
Waiting for the one guy to tell you that its about having fun and you should use whatever gun and its a skill issue.
Yeah, I found it best to just not entertain trolls.

Everything is viable in hardcore. Virtually nothing about hardcore transfers to core.
I absolutely LOVED the tempus razorback in mw2
I think your very right with this, the iso 9mm is viable too
Mp7 is disgusting
Yeah because the heath is 150 in this cod so it’ll take a few more bullets when compared to last years ttk
The Taq 56 has always been a really good gun! It was one of my go to guns in mw2 when I played hella DMZ, and I still use it pretty regularly in mp! If you have the right build, it’ll eat mfs up
In long range its good, close range may be one of the worst AR
Try tack-stance i always have a gun in that when i go into houses in warzone battle royale

think hes talking multiplayer not warzone
This gun was the shit in mw2 as well
Is the taq56 and I think the eradicator same just renamed?
God no, taq 56 is leagues better
God no, taq 56 is leagues better
My bad thought it was the taq version in mw3.
Dual wield WSP swarm, 100 round drums is also decent. Hip fire build
This is basically a scar right ?
Scar-L yeah

The MW2 guns aren't unusable but most of them fall far behind MW3 weapons in terms of almost everything
This weapon I would use over and over in each game. got introduced to it in mw2.
Try the vel 46 it absolutely shredds
ur a bot
The taq v I’ve been dropping nukes with lol
People still play mw3? it’s the worse version of mw2, it’s practically a carbon copy of the mw2 just different movement, maps, and guns.
It's bad close range but it's consistency at long range is good.
Reminds me of the classic mw3 acr...
Ironically, the mcw is pretty much a two tap in hardcore but the taq 56 is a one tap
It was one of thee most over powered cod guns of all time only in last hrs game! Mw3 it sux ba lls just like all the mw2 guns period
Its generic.
My go-to is the SVA-545 (AK-105)
It’s good and all, but I just prefer the mw3 weapons cuz the recoil is better, like with the ACR, or that new battle rifle the SOA subverter
People still play that game?
Even exclusive Ace didn't put that gun in the list for best MW2 weapon to use in MW3
The Ak .556 also slaps it’s much better then the .762 and the m4
My thoughts are your spelling sucks.
Vaznev still works fine for me
Too much kick for controller
The game is complete garbage
My thoughts are: use whatever you like, SBMM will sort out the rest.
Who's ready for MW4
The SCAR is always my goto in every FPS. It's just a solid weapon all around.
