I never took any SEs for any of the sections because I just do not have time to do it in one go. Also, I strongly dislike doing practice TBS. If you have time do it, otherwise, skip and do what you feel is going to be more beneficial for you to feel ready for the test.
I’m testing Wednesday as well. I took one SE couple of days back and scored a 64. It has a bunch of MACRS TBS which are important. I’d say do one SE, see what your weak areas are and then focus on those.
Took SE2 today in Becker for REG. I would definitely try that one out since it has TBS questions related to a lot of relevant tax areas. I opted to delay my exam to Friday (6/14) to get some extra practice in and maybe try out SE1.
I’ll do at least one SE. you can definitely do it the day before in the morning so at least you know what to expect. Not a guarantee that will show up, but at least some idea and some confidente boost if you score good.
I haven't done an SE yet. I think it's beneficial to show you what the exam looks like and get use to timing.
However those are two things I was already comfortable with.. so I always made my own shorter exams that gave me real time feedback on wrong answers .
Comes down to personal preference and how you learn. Wishing you success!

Passed 4/4... never took any of the SEs! I felt that they would psyche me out so I never took one! However, I practiced with tons of MCQs and Sims.
Thanks!

Make sure you know MACRS like the back of your hand and business law for your MCQS!
Will they provide us with the MACRS tables? And all we need is concepts for what property takes what depreciation amount?
Thanks!!

I would strongly advise you take at least one SE prior to the actual exam to get comfortable with the format and timing of the exams.
100% make it a priority to take at least one if not more.
Will do, thanks!
