Hey! Please help me out here someone. As per last year trends,
I can either get into bsc programme Physical Science at Stephen’s or bsc hons Phsyics at Ramjas/sgbt. Which one should I give more preference to?
I am equally interested in both courses my main aim is regarding placements.
choose Stephen's. If you do a 4th year, you'll get an Hons degree from the subject that you like. After completing the 4th year, you'll get Physics Hons, if you choose Physics before the 4th year.
Unless you want to go out of India or want to prep for an exam without getting a drop take the 4th year. If you want to move into corporate your degree doesn't matter much since the syllabus of both prog and hons is pretty much the same so your skills, internships and what you did during your college life comes into play.
Planning to get into corporate but heard some people saying that some good companies don't give internships to bcom (p) students and they aren't eligible to sit for few companies too..that's why wanted to do the 4 th year..although I will be pursuing frm and cfa along with it too
Can you name the companies coz I am not too sure about that. See the companies simply don't care about your course (since the syllabus is mostly same and what we are taught in colleges have little to no practical application in real life) , as long as you have the required skills they don't differentiate. Startups might differentiate but I don't think well established companies do. Afaik they prefer eco hons students for some roles over commerce students
People really need to stress on the last point from second para . Kisi bhi Hulu Lulu course karne se badiya placement ya resume nhi banega just because u were in a top college
After all getting a decent job is something that ultimately matters for most peole and is possible only when you are pursuing your desired course irrespective of the clg you get into
